Overall, the hotel was clean. The room was clean. The only problem was the pool and hot tub area was under reconstruction, though the hotel did refund the resort fee. excellent breakfast a lot of variety.

HIDDEN CHARGES! I paid in full for my room through hotels.com, but this dishonest place tacked on a secret $22 "resort fee"! There was no "resort"! I simply needed a place to sleep one night on a business trip. I called customer service and a rude, snippy woman gave me the runaround. Thankfully, hotels.com agreed to refund the money the hotel confiscated against my will. DO NOT STAT HERE!

Over all good. We will return.but smell so bad at night time in the bed room. We arrive early and we use the pool area good but the front desk person never offer coffee, water or tea in the waiting time. Cleaning 10.Front desk 3.

We booked last minute and were looking for something reasonably priced with a small water park for the kids. The lobby was clean and beautifully decorated. The lady who checked us in was kind and inviting. Since it had been unusually hot we asked if the outdoor pool was open. It was not but she said she would request it be opened for us. By the time the kids were ready for the pool, it was on and unlocked. The room we got was upgraded from what we had reserved which was a pleasant surprise. My eight year old son was so impressed and said it was the nicest hotel he had ever been in. The rooms were beautifully renovated, the pools were clean and enjoyable. You can tell they go to great lengths to keep the facility clean. We will definitely be back!

When we checked in the guy at the desk was very friendly. He advised us if we didn’t want maid service to place the do not disturb tag on our door. We did that but they still came in and made the beds. So that was a little concerning on why they still let themselves in to our room even though it said do not disturb. What if we were sleeping

For the price this is a very nice place to stay. The staff are nice and friendly. The place is very clean and I feel comfortable staying here. The knock would be it is away from downtown area of the dells but you can't beat the price/quality. I will stay again.

I was very happy with this hotel selection for our Della trip. On first glance the hotel rooms are a bit dated, but they are spotlessly clean and the hotel very safe and friendly, full of family groups. The 3 pools were an ideal spot for my kid in the evenings after dinner and she loved them. Location was super convenient.

Wouldn't let us do a late checkout, took 25 minutes to check in with no line, toilet clogged off of just "pee" we plunged it ourself, counter tops/phone weren't wiped down and had smeared stuff all over it.

This is a review no one ever wants to hear but this is the truth. If you are going to sleep here, make sure you go on the actual Wingate Hotel website and read all their policies. Dont go off of Expedia room amenities. The reasoning is, I DID NOT GET TO SLEEP HERE. At the hotel checking in, they tell me, there will be a pet fee of $50 per pet, per night. I was fine with that. And then the next thing was, a pet weight limit of 40 lbs and under. One of my dogs was well over 40 lbs. I contacted expedia trying to get a refund cause of all of this. They told me, to get the refund, its up to the Hotel. While i was there, at the front desk. I am watching the front desk person named Anna, which supposedly is manager and 2 other people NOT pick up the phone to talk to Expedia. Expedia then messege me telling them to pick up the phone. I watched them not pick up the phone and watched them walking to the back acting as they didnt hear the phone. I then told them to pick up the phone and asked them why didnt they pick up the phone. She told me and lied to my face saying they picked up the phone. While that was happening, Expedia said to me that there was nothing they can do unless if the hotel agrees to refund. It was so sketchy that the front desk people kept going back and forth. In and out at the front desk to the back of the room behind the front desk. I then left and last min booked at the Motel 6. Went back to get the wristbands and thats how my experience went. MyFirstExpediaStay

Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. It is in a great part of the Dells and convenient to a lot. If I had to be picky I would say mix up your breakfast with either more options or different options at least ever other day. It was good but we stayed for 5 nights and it was the same each day.

I paid extra for a “suite” but all that meant was they shoved a couch in to the small room. The pool is about a third of the size it looks like in the photos. They use the pool to declare their self a resort and to charge that extra fee. The toiletries were subpar. The stains on the carpet and scratches in the door were presumably because they tout their self as “pet friendly “ but they charge a daily fee per pet rather than a standard fee per stay. There is no pet area. The breakfast buffet was a thunder dome but honestly, that speaks more to the quality of guest not hotel. We won’t be back.

The carpet was dirty, hallway center was a different color in the center. Only noticed because the edges were so light. Room itself was ok but the bathtub did not drain and yuck was coming out of the drain. The showerhead barely worked.

Honestly, just NOT a GREAT place. The rooms are extra small. No outdoor seating, like a bench or something. Hot tub was nice but it bleached my brand new $100 swimsuit. I should have known when my eyeballs were burning out if my face! No one at the front desk except for Saturday and Sunday. There is a phone to reach them, but I would much prefer a human at the desk to ask for an extra towel or get recommendations for restaurants. I will give them props for the breakfast, nice selection and lots of tables. Just in general if you're looking for a nicer hotel this is not it.

Great hotel. Don’t book through Expedia, call the hotel directly. If you book directly they give you free passes to Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. They don’t give you free tickets if you book with Expedia.

Wingate by Wyndham Wisconsin Dells- our stay was amazing!! The staff was friendly, our room was very clean, the bed was comfy, the free breakfast in the morning was delicious and had a great variety. The pool is open 24 hours. We had so much fun staying here. So many restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Every single hotel employee that I interacted with during my 4 day stay was friendly and kind. The beds are comfortable while the rooms and common areas are kept very clean. The breakfast is good with options ranging from waffles and pancakes to cereal, muffins, mini danishes, scrambled eggs and sausages. There's also bagels with cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and instant oatmeal. My only suggestion for improving the breakfast would be a sugar-free syrup option for the pancakes/waffles for diabetics like myself. The property was in good repair. The only thing i noticed was one of the ceiling lights in my room wasn't quite flush with the ceiling. All things considered, I would not hesitate to stay here again! Thanks for making our vacation so enjoyable!

It wasn't enormous, which I preferred. I tripped over some metal thing protruding from the mattress and have a nasty ankle bruise now. Other than that, and the fact that the lobby does not sell sunscreen ( but sells every other swimming related thing) it was a great stay.

Overall the hotel was nice but was not impressed with the service. The staff was not polite and did not say anywhere while booking the room that children could not stay in it until I got there and had already paid that I was handed a paper to sign saying my 2 year old could not stay in there with me. Secondly the lady at the front forgot to give me back my ID and Debit card after checking me in and never reached out or called my room after knowing where I was to tell me she had this stuff. I got home today only to find out she never gave it back and had to drive 2 hours back down just for the staff to act like I was an inconvenience to them and not 1 apology. I get that things happen but to be treated like that after spending over $400 for 1 night seemed extremely rude and inconsiderate. Would I ever stay here again? Probably not due to that. I booked the wrong dates and they told me they could not change it so now I’ll probably just be out the money and not return due to how we were treated.
