I booked for 3 nights and checked out after the first night because there were bugs that bit my entire lower torso. The hotel did not credit me for the other two nights and will not even pick up the phone to speak with me. IHG also did nothing as they said I have to deal direct with the hotel. The worst customer service and horrible condition. How can they not credit me with welts across my body? Horrible horrible horrible.

Overall a decent hotel, but it was very disappointing that both CNN (202) and MSNBC (356) were "unavailable due to weather", when literally every other sat channel was live and clear, including other news networks.
I don't believe in censorship and it's clear these news channels have been blocked on purpose. There's no way it's a coincidence.

The hotel was full of transient/homeless people. There were people openly smoking marijuana in the hallway, the lock on our door did not work (of which I have a video) and the room smelled like smoke, despite the promise that this was a "non-smoking" property. I was in Hartford with my 16 year old daughter for a volleyball tournament and we had to leave this hotel after an hour because we were not SAFE. I am currently seeking a refund of this DISGUSTING hotel.

Nice Property. Everything was clean and comfortable. ne complaint -- the pool was freezing cold. Not a particularly good area in the city. Appears to be a lot of "renewal construction" going on in the neighborhood around the hotel. However, the downtown area is easily walkable from the hotel.

The room was a nice size and was very clean. It had all the essentials needed in the kitchen area. The staff was great.

Candlewood Hotel was clean and close to restaurants and airport. Although you can exchange dirty towels at the front desk, there is no room service unless your stay is st least 7 days. Their website falsely advertise free breakfast (there is no breakfast) which was one of the reason I booked this location!!

There were lots of transients in the lobby that weren’t staying there. Multiple arguments happening in the lobby and outside the hotel between people. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the relations of other guests going on all around you. I wasn’t expecting much, but I wasn’t expecting to feel like I was on an episode of Jerry Springer either.

The hotel and staff were both good. Clean room, friendly staff. The area was abysmal. Next to a run down gas station and an abandoned building on other side.

The room and hotel location were fine. Check-in was easy and quick. The young lady at the front desk was sweet and helpful. Would have scored higher but no breakfast provided.

By far the best hotel we stayed at. The room was very spacious, the staff was courteous and respectful. The pool was nice and so was the sauna. The kitchenette was even better. Everything in the room was clean. The cupboard cabinet was easy to access. Will definitely stay here again with my family.

Hairs all in our newly checked in shower. Sheets were not changed and beds were made with previous guest sheets. I know, due to working previously in housekeeping. It was very disappointing

This property is close to the XL center and dining options are also close by. The room was clean but not spotless and there was some wallpaper and or paint that needed updating.

What was good: Easy to get to, easy to get downtown on foot; room was plenty big for me with ample kitchen prep and fridge area; definitely a comfy stay; ample parking.
What was not good: I didn’t know where to bring recycling or trash, and used the bathroom trash for kitchen goods (there was a garbage disposal in the sink but that isn’t to be used for all kitchen waste); some wear and tear marks throughout including remnants of leaking in the bathroom (no leaks during stay); unsure about dish cleanliness.
Could be better: It might be me, but I didn’t feel 100% safe and confident in the area. I can’t blame the hotel for that, but the torn menu, unclear options for WiFi connection, and mild noise (child crying/screaming midday) added to the “you get what you pay for” vibe. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, not blown away. A surprised to find the hotel, but might try somewhere else later.

Entrance main lobby was very tidy, front desk service good both checking in and out. Once in the room that was a different story. Unfortunately there was a towel with holes, main comforter has slashes/rips all over as if someone had taken a knife to it. The 2nd light down cover had small identical holes the size a cigarette, and the wall decor believed to be maybe a mirror that was missing the mirror itself, not sure if that was a cork bulletin board? The small sheet had grease or sweat stains that probably couldn’t wash out? There was a dead carpet beetle underneath the sheets which caused paranoia of possibly other bugs.
A little bummed because the rest of the setup was nice with the mini kitchen, I was really rooting for this place.

I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and i saw rats running across the room. I was already very upset to see the bed sheets so dirty as if they didn’t change it after the other guests had used it. Disgusting stains. They still didn’t change it but brought me sheets to change it myself. The place is dirty and unkept. Very uncomfortable stay and i am very. Definitely wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel.

The date of our stay was Wednesday night, Sep 6.
The front desk associates were not very friendly.
The room was clean and comfortable,
The pool was very cloudy.
The guests in the room beside us let their toddler talk loudly, knock on the walls, and slam the door (to the hallway) until around 1:30am. They were also smoking pot and the smell was coming into our room. We could also hear every sound from traffic on the street below and sirens until at least 1:30am. Neither of us went to sleep until after 1:30am.

Overall it was normal except about being pet friendly they don’t have where to walk your dogs no garbage can outside to dispose dogs bags or also lock of outside seating area

This property was out in the middle of nowhere but a short drive to downtown. The unit itself was absolutely beautiful, clean and has everything you need. Beds were super comfy. Neighbourhood did not have dining or coffee.
