First stay in Cartago

Very comfortable bed, large room and shower. Bottle of water there. Great breakfast included.

For a longer stay, having a fridge in room is nice. At end of day, having a bar to sit at is better than restaurant seat.

I am a repeat customer. That says it all

The location is safe and secure. The view of the city is amazing. The attached restaurant has affordable local cuisine. Hot showers with lots of pressure.

Sound proofing is not a strong suit. No loud TV or hanky panky works if adjacent rooms are occupied. Balcony area is shared, pros and cons there.

I wasn't sure about this hotel at first, but it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Maria and her daughter Denia made our stay very joyful. All her suggestions were spot on. Room was very clean and comfortable. Views from the hotel are amazing.

We were cold all the time. There is no heater in the room. At night it wasn't bad, because they have very warm blankets, but I wish we could heat the room. We didn't like breakfast, but it comes in a form of coupons to the restaurant and there is a pretty big selection in the menu. To my taste it wasn't tasty, but it might be subjective.

A+ hotel

Really nice hotel run by a sweet family who enjoy talking and sharing tips for traveling around the area. The location is perfect, super close to Irazu and other natural attractions. I stayed here a total of 6 nights or so.

My worst night in Costa Rica. Not worth the money at all!

- The breakfast - Friendly and helpful receptionist - The bed was fine - Location of the hotel - near the Vulcan Irazu (45 min by car) - If you are lucky enough not to have noisy neighbours, your experience might not be 'terrible', only 'poor' :)

Where to start... - the walls are so thin that you can hear people in the next room. I mean literally hear every word they are saying (in a normal voice)! Unfortunately, we were so unlucky to have party people as our neighbours, so we didn't sleep all night. - the window to the outside was broken, it couldn't be closed properly and as the room is big, it was really cold inside - there was another window towards the hallway (I really don't understand the purpose of this). Since the hallway lights were ON all night, the light and noise coming into the room was another reason for not being able to sleep - you really need earplugs and a sleeping masks here! :-( - the shower head was broken and it was impossible to take a shower - the receptionist (was friendly but) didn't speak English, only Spanish
