Authentic Ryokan with the best hosts in the world

Traditional Japanese home with a possibility to use onsen privately. The hosts treated us with so much care n warmth and pampered us with the lovely home cooked food. We were speechless. I have never experienced this level of hosting anywhere in the world and the traditional Japanese food was to die for. I would definitely visit again.

homely japanese experience!

perfect stay for anyone who wants to experience a ryokan. it was well stocked with amenities, and they even provided a yukata to wear for the onsen! we liked that we could use the onsen privately for 30 minutes max. each time. the host was very warm and welcoming. i was really looking forward to seeing mt. fuji from our room but the weather did not permit unfortunately :( wish we could’ve stayed longer because the weather had cleared up the next day!!!

it was quite difficult to locate the property, especially since we arrived at night in the rain. more obvious signs by the main road would have been very helpful!

Great stay and great hosts

Such a kind and heartwarming host, if you're looking to stay in a traditional Ryokan. I highly recommend this place to be your first, especially if you're on a budget. I loved every single moment here. They offer free transfer service as well, but I would recommend getting a car or a bike as well. However, the bus stop is nearby. Finally seeing the views of Fuji from window was just spectacular, they also have a jacuzzi/onsen as well, so if you have tattoos; you have nothing to worry about. To The family that hosted me and took great care off me, thank you for making my Japan trip so special and I hope to see you again ❤️

Superb

Breakfast was really good. Fuji san from my room 😊. Onsen all to myself (30min) each session. Room was spacious. Host was really friendly and kind

Hmm the hot water in room did nit work... but still i can use onsen downstairs 😊

Excellent room with Mt. Fuji views and good food!

Excellent food for breakfast and dinner overall! You just had to let them know the day before if you want to have dinner or breakfast and pay a very reasonable price at checkout. The room was very spacious with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji! We loved the tatami floors and the futon.

Very traditional, amazing food, the sweetest host. I loved staying here so much. The original appeal was seeing Mt Fuji in the morning. Nevertheless, we didn't see the mountain all day but it didn't matter because this traditional Inn well and truly made up for it. The absolute highlight accommodation and hospitality for our Japan journey. I can not praise highly enough.

Great hosts, fantastic views, lovely location.

Very friendly hosts, that spoke some English. Lovely location between Lake Yamanaka and Kawaguchiko. Very easy to have private use of the hot baths. Amazing view of Mt Fuji from the window. Room had its own mini fridge with drinks, as well as a lovely Japanese tea set.

It's a very old style property, and the room could have been cleaner. The shower curtain was extremely dusty, and the chairs had a bit of mould .As it's older, you can tell that it is falling a little into disrepair which is a shame, and so it feels not clean. However, I would stay again due to all the positive aspects.

Loved the whole experience. The hosts and good was amazing.

The staff were amazing. They went over and above to help us. The food was amazing and we tried some dishes we hadn’t before and loved it. We loved that you could book the onsens for 30 minutes to have privately. The location was amazing. We could see Mt Fuji out of our room window. The location was a little out of the way but we were happy to walk a little further.

The property was a little old and run down. But it was warm and comfortable.

We had an amazing experience. The family managing the Ryokan is very welcome and they all speak good English. The room was very big, with great views and comfortable. TheY have complimentary hot spring for guest use. We would definitely recommend to book the stay with the traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast, all the dishes were delicious.

Cozy stay in a traditional ryokan with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji

Great view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day, onsen for private use, large and cozy room, very kind and helpful owners who speak English well!

Location is a bit remote and busses don't run super often - but if you plan well and catch that one bus per hour you can go to Kawaguchiko and other spots easily!

Great stay

Ryokan close to tourist sites. Very warm welcome, the rooms are clean, possibility of having breakfast and dinner. During the next stay we will return to this establishment

the location is close to Oshino Hakkai. it is simple, clean and the food is nice too.

very delicious breakfast fit for any foreigners. lady master is so nice and friendly.

my room's air conditioning switch is little unreliable, i had difficulty in switching it on. it takes many times.
