We appreciated the location very much . It was easy access to everything we wanted to see. Our room was very clean and just like the picture that I saw in the advertisement. Although the television did not work, as well as the phone for room service. We did not appreciate that the guy at the reception when he told us that they were putting us in a better room and in the side of the hotel that he called the better area. He reference that the other side was were we should be. He got on the phone and spoke with someone in Italian with someone on the phone, after hanging up the phone he said he was going to need to charge us $15 per Person per day for the use of the elevator. When I made the reservation I saw that they had an elevator for us it is important as my husband has a hard time going through several stairs . As I heard his comment I told him we had no choice and he marked something down in the paperwork that he had for our room. Nothing that we would’ve charged $15 fee per day per person. At time of check out nothing was charged as we mentioned the to the person that was at the front desk what we were told the night before. Otherwise their breakfast was absolutely delicious with an incredible variety of food. Thank you

Nice hotel in good location. Rooms and some areas need refurbishing with wall paper tatty and carpets thread bare, but overall OK. Beds were very comfortable. Shower OK but hot water was variable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Our 2-night stay was absolutely fantastic. It is simply a 2-min walk to St Mark’s Square, the city centre. The hotel furnishing exudes amazing Venetian vibes. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, providing us with info on the public water buses and route to Burano that we enquire about. The breakfast spread was also amazing and the food tasted really good. The hotel provides a free boat ride to Murano to visit the oldest glass factory (no obligation to purchase anything) and you can purchase the public bus ticket (or a 1-day pass which was more worth it in my case) to visit Burano and back to the main island. Definitely recommends the stay to other tourists!

The main hotel was very nice but we were located in the annex on the 5th floor with no elevator. This was difficult with large luggage or after a full day of walking. The bellhop did help with the luggage though. Entry to the annex was in a back alley. Room was large and nice although a bit dark. Front desk staff were great. Hotel location was excellent.

Lovely apartment that was modern and looked like new. There was plenty of space. The apartment is a great location, very close to St Marks square and the main hotel is just round the corner, so we went there for breakfast and at the end of the day would pop in there for a nightcap

The room’s toilet did not work on part of 3 days. So we had to go to a rest room on another floor, at times in the middle of the night. When I asked the hotel to do something for us, the hotel made no concession for this lack of basic service.

Location is a 5 star with great walking distance to St Mark's square. The hotel itself wasn't great. The beds were comfortable, the room decore was old and "vintage". The shower water temperature was hot one minute, then cold the next. We ate the breakfast a couple of days but eggs were runny and bacon undercooked/fatty. We elected to skip it on our other 2 mornings. We asked a front desk person if he had change for a 20. He was so annoyed, and respond "you Americans, do you think I am a bank?" Staff in the buffet and bar area were always nice. I think I would choose another hotel option if we ever went back to Venice

Hotel is in a great location! The rooms were exceptionally small which was a little disappointing. Most of the front desk gentlemen were friendly and helpful, one gentleman was not.

Front desk personnel very friendly & helpful—no matter day or night. Good breakfast each morning that was included in our fee & tea each day from 4-6 pm was a nice perk. Was able to book water taxi from Marco Polo airport to the hotel, as well as water taxi to the train station through the hotel’s concierge. Would definitely recommend the Montecarlo Hotel. Location good for shopping & restaurants.

Staff at Hotel Montecarlo were amazing and friendly. The hotel was conveniently located near the basilica, shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean and quaint. The breakfast buffet and afternoon tea was a plus. Very happy and would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

This is an excellent location and the staff is outstanding and willing to assist in any way. Also, it is a two minute walk to water taxi pickup if private and a 5 minute walk if public. Their breakfast is top notch with plentiful food!!

Very nice room with Venetian decor. Beautiful bathroom with Jacuzzi bath tub. The room was on the third floor of the hotel annex. There is no elevator but we did not mind. The hotel staff will help you with moving the luggage. Very nice breakfast. The hotel is a one-minute walk away from St. Mark Square. Their staff is very professional, well versed in the most common foreign languages. I would definitely stay again.

Staff was wonderful but we didn’t get a room in the main hotel. We were in an adjacent building on the 5th floor with no elevator. Air conditioning was insufficient and property did not match the description of what we purchased.

We had a group of 32 people at the hotel , I started the process of booking almost one year prior our trip and from the start I was very happy with the staff I called, emailed and always they were very cordial and friendly, I would love to go back to Venice and stay at their hotel , very clean , nice and the best staff we could have! Love it!

The staff at this hotel couldn’t have been nicer. We arrived earlier than check-in and were greeted warmly and allowed to check in two hours early. We were very appreciative, since we had flown in on the red eye. We also had a wonderful breakfast included daily, as well as desserts, tea, and coffee between 4 and 6 pm. The location of the hotel was perfect to see all the sites. I would’nt hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
