Hotel is very old and dated. T.V. and phone not working. Curtains old, dirty and broken (wouldn't open after closing). People were very friendly but many times not available at the front desk. The back of the hotel felt a little unsafe as there were always people lingering around (possibly homeless).

The place needs TLC. Doors and walls are dirty and need paint. Room was okay, but AC was noisy and it smelled as if it had been a smoking room at one time. Pillows plentiful, but not special. Free breakfast was very minimal.

Room smelled terrible, even with opened window. Many hairs from other guests in bath room. Breafast very poor. Stuff helpful and friendly

Do stay here if you have a choice. This hotel is a joke. It's very old and most of the furniture is falling apart. It looks like it has never been updated. My room had a strange smell. I saw a roach when I was leaving. The housekeepers live there and they are in a rush for you to leave so they start knocking on doors at 8:30 am. They don't smile or say 'Hi' they just want to know when you're checking out.

You get what you pay for. The property is dated but thats also why your not paying near $200 a night. Rooms could use a deep cleaning and fresh paint/new carpet but it is what it is. Im not disappointed with my stay.

Dirty hallway and elevator. Sink would not drain. Microwave did not work. I will not stay at this place again

It was a nice clean room. The beds were good and firm. The shower pressure was on point. Conviently located near restaurants.We will definitely be staying here again!

Sadly the standards of cleanliness at this hotel were less than admirable. Our room had spattered stains on the light fixture between the beds, other signs of deferred maintenance and low standards elsewhere in the room. Carpet seemed to have an odor; paint scratched off back of bathroom door, apparently by a dog. The fridge had been neglected--its freezer clogged by an ice buildup. Beds were comfortable but a fitted sheet was stained. We bought disinfectant wipes to clean surfaces. Wifi was just OK. Microwave was good. Did not use the TV. Wish we'd stayed elsewhere.

It is refreshing to actually be treated as a guest. My recent experiences as of late have been absolute nightmares! Without going to deep into my prior experiences, it came right on time. And because of their professionalism, my faith was restored!! Thank you to all the staff at the LaQuinta in Canton, MI! I highly recommend this hotel! They are courteous, through, helpful, clean, nice breakfast and within walking distance to a wide range of shopping. From your everyday needs such as the Dollar Tree, Five Below to a wide range of stores such as Walmart, Marshalls, IKEA, Michaels and MUCH MUCH more! Or grab a quick bite at Wendy's, KFC, Dunkin Donuts or (but not limited to) White Castle Heck even the Gas Stations are nice with fresh Fried Chicken or Delicious New York Style Pizza!! Absolutely by farrrrr the best in all the area! Hotels such as the rapidly declining, disgraceful, over priced, deceitful, disgusting dump the "B@✓m©πt" could truly learn something from the LaQuinta. Keep up the GREAT work guys your doing a fine job!!

Run , fast and far

Unsafe, raging fire out back by long term tenets. Dated, in need of a paint job. I had to fix the toilet myself. Room has a musty smell. TV batteries needed to be replaced. Never staying there again!!

Place is outdated but I guess you get what you pay for

Not much good or bad about this place. I stayed four days - no bedding:towel service on any of the days, but there were plenty of towels for my stay. Breakfast option were bagels, cereal, oatmeal or waffles. No eggs or breakfast meats. Location is near plenty of restaurants and has easy on/easy off freeway access. Thanks to Pari for her professionalism checking me in and out of the room.

Good place to stay at a good price. Staff was friendly. Continental Breakfasts were solid. Older hotel but in decent shape.

The entire place smells, mold along the baseboards throughout the motel, windows very dirty and foggy, vinyl floors in the unit were sticky on your shoes. This place should be torn down and that is not an exaggeration.

Good breakfast

Sink and tub did not drain. Stained and dated carpeting and furniture. Toe nails under bed sheets. Front desk was informed and the bed was not clean-sheeted! Only towels were replaced. Property is not visible from the street and next door to a noisy car wash. Front desk staff was dismissive, unattentive and condescending.

Nice & clean

This is a property that is extremely unkempt. It’s dirty, saw ketchup marks on the wall, caught 4 insects around different areas of the room. The curtains were dirty with stains. The hallways and the rooms were smelling of food/fish. The tub has rust marks and it wasn’t draining well. The entire property is extremely unhygienic and in disrepair . I want a refund of my stay

The room was a nice size and clean for the price. I was given a first floor room and the window had NO lock. Not a broken lock, but NO lock. Huge safety violation.

Check in was flawless. Very nice young man (who spoke very good English) checked us in. No other employees said a word to us. The room was nice except for the outlet by the bed not working. It was very noisy and kids running everywhere. They didn't care about other people. Riding their scooters up and down the halls (at all hours). One little boy was carrying a chicken around. A live chicken!! That was surprising! Moms and Dads not doing anything about their children running amuck. Food on the floors and they just walk over it or around it. We stayed there for 7 nights and had to have the key-cards re-done 4 times and left them with one not working again. I don't think we will be staying there again on our next trip to Michigan.

Upon arrival the air conditioning and tv was not working. The front desk clerk came up and got them both working. The closet had such an odor that I couldn’t use it. Also the hanging rods were broken off. The bathtub would not drain and filled with water. The curtains were torn by and would not hang correctly. The lounge chair was broken and flipped back. I was there for 3 nights and housekeeping never came in to take out the trash or freshen the room. I have stayed at this La Quinta in the past, but was very disappointed in this stay. I will not be returning again.
