Taormina is changing so much. Not for the good .once upon a time the stores were special clothing and items that were the handy work of locals and particular to Italy. Now it is upper end commercial things you can purchase everywhere! The hotel restaurant food was horrible! With all the delicious food in Italy I ask myself where did this food come from? The young woman at the front desk was a rude and snotty. My room had no shower only a tub was not the best.

Wonderful location with a spectacular view to the vulcano Etna from our balcony. Great pool area and nice staff. Highly recommend.

Don’t mind paying $375 per night when the hotel is solid as a rock, but this one is falling appart. The classics: Carpets worn to death, WIFi not available in our room, pool or restaurant. Hot water was hit or miss, no A/C on the lobby or most common areas, the TV control was tied with black tape, etc. This place is begging for a major renovation. With so many options around Taormina, next time I will spend my money somewhere else.

A beautiful hotel with character and style. Magnificent furniture and decor. Views from hotel and rooms are stunning. Staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient. Pool area clean and spacious, adequate sun beds, towels available.

This hotel was a nice walk to restaurants, the Greek Theatre and the cable car. Easy to arrange transportation to the beach. The pool was beautiful and the view was stunning and you can see Etna from here. The hotel grounds are very well kept. Breakfast what a nice variety. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the view and the beautiful grounds. The garden next door was lovely and the staff attentive. I enjoy staying in Historic hotels and so this was a property I enjoyed. I would for sure stay here again.

İt is located at a perfect spot where you can observe sun rise, enjoy Etna view and sea view. Very spacious room and a big balcony. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a bit outdated, nevertheless is one of the best locations. It has on site parking, also it is very easy to get to the highway.

The location of the property was fantastic. I travelled on my own and i felt safe and easily walked into town to enjoy great local meals and attractions. The breakfast was a highlight!

Rooms are slightly dated - but doesn’t matter. You have everything you need and the views are amazing from EVERYWHERE. Get a balcony room. Hang by the pool. Yummy aperol spritz. Easy walk to bus stop, Town, funicular. Great place.

I liked the hotel even though it could use a refresh because of its location to the center of town for dining and shopping; Breakfast was very good with many options; Service at breakfast, by the pool and the front desk was very good. I would recommend this location to my family and friends.

Diodoro was a very nice hotel with clean rooms and areas. Great pool and spectacular views. Good breakfast selection. Free parking lot a real thing for most. We parked at an overnight lot about 6 minute walk away. 20 euro a day. Better than driving back thru narrow streets though. Quad room worked well for our family. Long walk down lots and lots of stairs to reach Isola Bella beach area. Take the cable car back up for sure and give yourself time to wait in line for the ride. Good location for restaurants and shopping.

Amazing place for a romantic week for two. Wonderful rooms and views, the pool was the best and the overall atmosphere was friendly and very warm. The staff gave us excellent service all the time, especially the breakfast staff were loving people with great smiles and service! The hotel breakfast could have had more variation, such as seeds and nuts as supplements to muesli, and there could be more Vegetarian options as well as lactose and gluten Free. The room was excellent, very clean and neat, beautiful details and very comfortable. The two single beds could have been replaced by a double bed as they slid apart. And the bathrooms could have had more hooks to hang things on. Despite this everything was excellent and we enjoyed our time to the fullest at hotell Villa diadoro. We will definitely go back to our next stay in Taormina!

A very well-located hotel with amazing views. It is next a lovely public landscaped garden with view of the coast and the city. Directly above the hotel is the ancient Greek theatre and the main shopping and dining streets of Taormina are just a few minutes' walk away. The car park is small but very welcomed as parking is impossible in this area. There are a few public parking areas 5 minutes away but they are expensive @20 Euro per day. Once parked, you really don't want to drive again, best to walk around town - it has a one-way system throughout and the roads are very narrow. The town centre itself is pedestrianised. It is quite an amazing place with a very long stretch of interesting shops including some high-end stuff. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself is fine, the rooms and beds are comfortable and clean, although not huge. We had two rooms with balconies and sea view. Mount Etna was also visible so having a drink in the evening on the balcony or at the terrace bar is a must. The hotel is built into a cliffside so there are many levels, with the swimming pool on the lowest level - again with spectacular views. If you don't like stairs/steps ( there are lifts to most areas) this might not be for you. The breakfast is ok - croissants and pastries were good, but not much choice on the savoury side. Served between 7:30 - 10:00, but very little left by 9:20am and they don't seem to restock things like fruits. The staff were helpful with parking.

Hotel was located in an excellent location to walk to the Center. A little dated, poor water pressure in shower, knob of bathroom door fell off, small room, no toilet paper in room when arrived. Staff were nice and helpful. Free parking but difficult to navigate.

Great location snd amazing views. However for the past years hotel has sustained wear and tear to the point that it would be just appropriate to refresh the decor. Overall all is great.
