Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
3.0
Bad experience because they request an extra payment saying that the price given by hotels app was wrong. Also the restaurant reserved was not good. And other restaurants at the hotel were full

Worst service, dont stay there

Think time share for locals. Not close to any city site seeing. We asked about a taxi and was told”it’s mostly safe”. I was initially bugged as soon as I got there to sit and buy in a time share. I paid full price for this hotel! Why am I being bugged! We left two days early and couldn’t get our money back.

DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT!!!!!!!
We stayed here in March and I’m still angry at how horrible it was.
- smelled like sewage everywhere
- food was disgusting
- rooms dirty and not worth the nightly rate
- the beach is rocky and crowded; not enough palapa’s. I don’t think there was a single lounger
This resort is a waste of your hard earned money. Stay at the Iberostar or somewhere else. I wish I read the reviews better before we booked.

There are a lot of stairs, so be prepared for a daily workout. There is a lot of wildlife in the area so very cool to see the variety of birds and animals. There are a lot of very large cockroaches that do make their way into the room, so be sure to keep your suitcases up and closed. Overall though the place is great, with decent amenities. Great for one week or less.

Went on a trip for my best friends birthday and had a nice time. Very friendly staff and great service

The AC doesnt work in the rooms. You can’t escape the heat.

The property was spread out over a large sprawling terrain with many inclines and stairs. Long distances from rooms to dining choices to pool and beach

Beautiful ocean and beach area well kept.

The staff and food were great! Nice swimmable beach. Rooms were clean.
Lots of stairs and no elevators which is fine but be aware if that’s an issue for you.
The daily timeshare/massage push was annoying.

Pros: nice beach, food at buffet and Mexican restaurant was great, daughter enjoyed kids activities and had a great time in pool, felt safe with 2 little kids
Cons: aggressive time share sales right at check in , loud music heard in our room from weddings on the beach most nights untill midnight

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so after our 2 day stay. I really don’t understand how people give this place 5 stars. This the weirdest place I’ve ever stayed. Came here to do some surfing and couldn’t leave fast enough. Below are the pros and cons.
Cons:
1. Hallways are dark. Some how the lighting reminds me of the shining or the twilight zone.
2. We came in late on Friday and couldn’t get a restaurant reservation till Monday. This left us with only the Buffett. Dinner Buffett was so bad that we hopped into a taxi for $40 to drive to Sayulita for a proper meal.
3. Very odd vibe. Felt like an escape room. There was no energy. Wasn’t sure if we wanted to escape or the employees.
4. It’s challenging to get an Uber here. We never did since we would have to wait at least 20 min and the drivers cancelled often. Expect to pay a taxi at least $30-$40 to go anywhere with a pulse.
5. All the free alcohol was bottom shelf. If you’re young and just want to fill the void then have at it.
Pros:
1. Beach is nice. Decent surfing. Better surfing 5 min down the road at La Lancha.
2. Mattresses are surprisingly comfortable.
3. There are a few things at the Buffett that were edible. Fruits were good and oatmeal.
I’d recommend staying in Sayulita or do an all inclusive in PV . You’ll save yourself a bunch of money, eat better food better and save time.

Many times repeat guest at Palladium. Low season so hotel was full of locals on 3-4 day trips. Large family groups who tolerated us but are not generally friendly or communicative and squeeze you out of your space if you don’t stand your ground. Beaches are Federally owned so not unusual to find locals walking onto supposed hotel beach front.
All that said we keep coming back and have stayed in Family Selection area the last few visits where you are better cared for and have better accommodation. We were there during our anniversary which got out to block hotel rep who pushed the boat out a little to mark the event. A nice touch and appreciated. Grounds looked untidy this time and grassy areas looked dry and somewhat burnt. A local ongoing drought probably accounts for this but it was never mentioned. Evening shows have changed over the 20 years we’ve been visiting and are a little tiring now. Nevertheless we still enjoy a quiet G&T at Hemingway.

Overall is a good experience. Just mind that at breakfast time, it could be crowded and the attention could be delayed. Not critical, just take your precautions.

Good location in punta de mita. Service was great. Staff was excellent. We were happy to tip simply because the staff did not push for tips. Ac and mini fridge did not work.the ala carte restaurants were either closed or unavailable for reservations during our entire trip. The vacation time share sales staff were quite pushy at times.
6.0
The restaurant staff, spa and house keeping staff were very friendly and professional. They work very hard and I appreciate that.
The problems we faced -
The front desk staff is hard to communicate with. I called even before travelling and it was hard to get information on any transportation from the airport.
We requested an ocean facing room. The pool also faces the ocean and we didn't realize it earlier. There was repeated music played all day till around 12 am in the night. Every 10 min the macarena song would repeat. We couldn't sleep at all till after 1 am.
There is only one restaurant open in the day. It is all inclusive and gets pretty crowded, like a cruise ship. There are no other restaurants in the vicinity even if we are willing to pay for food and services. Long lines at each station. Our first day, due to our late arrival, we went to lunch around 4pm and that was a very light traffic time. We enjoyed our first meal in peace. As a vegan, I found some veggies - baked potatoes, roasted brocolli, some greens, carrots, some amazing salsas and chips. After the third day of eating the same, I was longing to get out of there. They said there is a special menu out of which we could get pasta, etc for vegan items. However, it was so crowded each time, they hardly had time to take orders. Staff was busy, doing their best to just keep regular food on the counters.
There are some speciality restaurants, but nothing opens up till evening and always full.

My last time here was in September. I gave a 5 star review. This trip was full of disappointments and more expensive. Most of the staff tried hard to help with issues but the system in place needs organization!
1- We had to request the champagne provided by Expedia 5 times before it finally arrived hot in a bucket with no ice on the last day.
2- It was impossible to make dinner reservations. They send you to an app and all restaurants were booked our entire stay. Reservations close at 3 pm. Finally we speak to someone who makes us a reservation and she made it for the wrong day and time she told us. We missed the reservation. We were told to call guest services between 8-11 am to fix this. I called several times. Nobody answers. Instead of sleeping in, I was doing this. I called 0 and they told me to go meet them in person. It was 8am. No thanks!
3- Thankfully we paid extra to upgrade to Family Selection dining. We enjoyed The Nest for almost every meal since we didn’t want to do the buffet and it was our only option.
4. The Butler at Family selection was very rude. We were told to meet him to eat at the Nest. He was clueless. I explained in Spanish what I was told. He said well it seems like you know everything so just go over there! He was nasty. I just walked away.
5-Last day, running late to airport, we were told to wait for help with luggage. Nobody showed up. So we carried our own luggage through long walkways. Beautiful Property. Great Entertainment.

The hotel was very nice and it gave you the mexico feel, but the rooms are small the food was the same and it gets very crowded with a lot of events like weedings and bigger parties so i felt like it was difficult for you to get service while dinning or with beverages. I also didn't like that they constantly ask you about using your $100 gift card that the hotel provides you with they would make us feel uncomfortable asking us to use the card on what ever cervice we wanted with an additional fee off course in the mornings on our way to breakfast. Another thing i didn't like is the cleaning service left a note stating that if important things were left unstained and they got stolen they will not be responsible, so basically warning us too lock away our valuables or they will take it? Didn't make sense because the only other people going inside our room was cleaning service. The hotel is family friendly but its 40 min away from Puerto vallarta and the town.

Where to start,
The ocean front is great. Nice breeze so you never got too hot. Good boogie board/body surfing.
The main pool wasn’t very clean but they never are, and it was hot, not refreshing. Pool bar didn’t open until 11am. One of the bathrooms by the pool backed up and there was toilet paper and human waste on the ground for two days.
The junior club doesn’t open until 3pm, should be earlier if the kids want to get out of the water and sun.
We paid for an upgrade to ocean view and it was beautiful but……..6 weddings in 10 days right outside of our room on the beach, blasting loud until 11pm. With young kids it wasn’t very pleasant.
They should warn you or give you a heads up. I do not recommend anywhere close to the beach or main pool for a room.
The food in each a la carte was very good and the buffet has quite a variety.
Watch for the very very greasy and corrupt taxi service out in front of the hotel if you go anywhere, we used an Uber to get to the airport and the taxi leader is friends with the cops and had us pulled over a few miles away and had to pay a “fee”. Our kids were terrified.
The taxi leader is a taller man with a moustache and he followed us and they took a picture of our driver. Hopefully he will be ok.
All in all I would not recommend this resort based off the sleepless nights and scary taxi man.

Good buffet, but specialty restaurants, not so much. Service always good. Place is noisy. Loud music everywhere, no relief at pools. We heard outside music pounding past midnight, kept my daughter awake, be sure to ask for a quite room location. Beautiful setting and beaches. Staff is very friendly.

This property is about 34 Kms from the airport and they do not provide bus transportation. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and the van cost us 2300 pesos (200 CAD) from airport to the resort.
The resort is the oldest in the Palladium group and does require upgrades specially in the washrooms. They are quite dated.
The cleanliness of the rooms was very good and the staff excellent. There is a buffet restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals are good not gourmet. There are 4 A-la-carte restaurants and they are quite good, make sure you book them in advance. If the concierge informs you that you can book only one restaurant at a time ask for his supervisor and get the booking done through him. Do not waste time trying to book on their website.
Be prepared to walk quite a bit as the resort is on a sprawling area. Another important thing to note is that none of the buildings have elevators hence, if you have difficulty climbing stairs ensure you book the first floor.
If you want to go to downtown area be prepared to pay to pay hefty taxi charges. Most important, make sure you have medical insurance as it is extremely expensive if you have to visit a medical clinic or hospital. They have a doctor on the resort during the day.
Do not fall for the Membership plan which they market aggressively.
Overall we had a wonderful time at this resort, specially the kids as there was a kids club for them to enjoy.

I personally had a better service at a different resort. It felt like I always had to look for stuff so that they could go ahead and bring me a drink or offer some food. It just didn’t seem very friendly the week that I went. I wish I had a better experience.
8.0
ALL of the staff (reception, bellboys, bartenders, servers, cooks, cleaners) went above and beyond to address our every request and need. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and respectful, and we felt very safe and comfortable. We were not too happy with the cleanliness of the villas (floors very dirty and littered with garbage, dirty dishes and leftover food sitting on shelves outside rooms for days on end), and we noticed that leaves and trash were often not removed from areas around the pools. The grounds in some areas also looked a little rundown. The beach was amazing and we loved our bartenders at the Fizz Bar. The a la carte restaurants were attractive. Food overall was average to good, and very plentiful with lots of choices at the buffet restaurant.

I read all these negative reviews here and was nervous. We had a phenomenal time. The food was excellent!!! Extremely clean and I would recommend this hotel and resort should anyone be looking for an all family inclusive in Punta Mita.

Great food and customer service👏

The hotel is lovely with large rooms, comfortable beds, kind staff, and good food. The restaurant selection is wonderful and very careful with food allergies. The kids club is best for very young children, but they offer kids' activities by the pool. The pools are warm, with a lifeguard stationed the full time. We will happily return again!

This place was great! The staff were extremely FRIENDLY and NICE. The dining options were excellent and the price was very reasonable. We will return in the future!
6.0
This was our second visit to the property and we likely wont return, particularly during spring break. Rental shop on water wasn't staffed effectively and we weren't able to access surf boards as we had hoped because staff were doing sailing trips. Classic issues getting pool or beach chairs after 9 a.m. (people dropping towels but not using them). Didn't appreciate the pushy sales approach for Palladium Rewards / other Palladium membership -- left a negative impression on us.
6.0
It is barely ok for the price you paid. Buffet Food is below average. Speciality restaurants are ok but hard to get reservations.
The worst of this hotel is the really bad drink selection of the all inclusive, there's no premium alcohol included, all are cheap and low quality beverages. If you want premium alcohol you need to buy it by bottle. 100 USD and up.
Gym facilities are outdated and machines such as bikes and treadmills need an urgent upgrade.
The positive aspect is the people working really hard all day long to make your stay pleasant. Adults bar , family pool bar and Mexican restaurant staffs are really attentive and go above and beyond.
I think the real problem is the hotel chain company strategy trying to sell the brand as premium resort when clearly it is not. poor management is visible.
We had 3 nights the same incident (out of 6), no clean towels available in the room.
Finally, stay away of the sales guys trying to get you to the family selection area and sell the concept of time share. It is annoying to deal everyday with that.

Restaurants were great and fairly easy to reserve.
The view and scenery were great.
The resort didn’t feel crowded.
Loved the adult only section.
Bernardo and Leonardo, in particular were amazing with their service.

Great time at a great resort. Absolutely beautiful

Property very tired - needs upgrades. Some spaces very neglected...people very nice.
Butler was unable to do anything...very timid and appeared only at the beginning of our stay and came out when we were leaving...for a tip! She was invisible for all of our stay - need to upgrade this feature of the experience or just eliminate the "butler" idea.

Amazing resort, great for kids. Be cautious with booking on the app, as sometimes it doesn't work (After booking, if you don't see the "Cancel Booking" button on your reservation then it isn't a real reservation, and you need to go see guest services to actually book it).
I wouldn't recommend paying extra for Family Selection as it didn't seem worth it. The FS pool was fairly basic and all the FS guests just went over to the main pool, and the beach on that side of the property was terrible - nobody was ever there (and non-FS also have access to the beach anyways).
