A lovely place to stay. There is no A/C but plenty of fans and airflow with huge windows.

Plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen, and a beautiful property in this historic home. You can't beat the view of Seneca Lake with a nice lawn for playing on when not skipping stones, searching for beach glass or playing in the lake. It's uncomfortably warm upstairs without AC but jumping in the lake cools you down quickly. We made wonderful family memories again this week!

Reminded me of staying with my grandma in her summer cottage by the water growing up... steps from the shore of the lake with a canoe and rowboat to enjoy. We played croquet and corn hole on the lawn, ate meals on the screened in porch; all perfect for our group. True there is no AC or heat, but a portable fan in every room, some extra blankets (we were there when night got down to 40°F so needed more warmth); just come prepared and you are sure to find the scenery peaceful and home inviting. Great location close to Watkins Glen State Park and wineries. Lots of supplies in kitchen although not labeled so takes some searching to find or know where to return items. Took a few tries to open lockbox with key, but did eventually. If you're looking for something modern, then this may not be your thing, but we loved the character and charm, plus reading about the home's history. Vacasa did not always have correct answers to our queries: said there were no portable fans, thought there were 2 canoes, but nothing crucial. Thanks for wonderful memories.

Group of 12. House was perfect size. Neighbors friendly. Wish there had been a dock but we enjoyed

It was clean. The online literature is confusing and the pictures were misleading. You do not have access to a dock. Hopefully they fixed that now. The neighbors let their children poop in the lake right next door to where your kids are swimming so kind of gross. We thought that the lake areas up there had passed measures that sewage would not be in the lake any longer. And on our last full day there - a huge stream of dead fish were in the waters at the beach - I mean hundreds if not thousands of dead fish were just floating at the beach. The kids could not take the smell of the water and had to take a shower after even trying to wade in the water that didn't seem to have many dead fish.

Great location great house .....it was like a dream

We enjoyed staying in the historic house. It had great views of the lake- especially by a fire on the point. The large porch was used every night for playing card games and socializing. It is in the middle of wine country which was an added plus.

The cabin is large and great for a large group. It is old but well maintained and was immaculately clean when we arrived. The best part for us was the lake access and the generously provided life vests, floating noodles, and the indoor and outdoor games. We also took advantage of the canoe which was a nice perk. My family and I really enjoyed sitting in the coveted patio and the lakefront.
Kitchen is well equipped with utensils ans such which was nice.
Be mindful that there is no A/C. We were there in early Sep so we didn't need it with temps in the 70s and 80s.
