Lisbon stay 2023

the architecture, the service and the views.

bathroom/ shower was being fixed. got there in the end but a couple of days with an unpleasant odor. a lot of stairs as well and difficult for taxi driver to find

highly recommend this fabulous place

everything ! this is a home from 1909 that is absolutely charming and beautiful. I’m the middle of the old area with walking distance to the big square and very close to many fado places. the staff and breakfast were tremendous.

nothing that I didn’t like - however it will be a problem for people with disabilities as there is a spiral staircase to the rooms and a very steep stone stairway up to the hotel after walking up a cobblestone hill. getting up there is a challenge with large luggage.

One of the best hotels in my life

It's absolutely incredible. We booked the king suite with access to three balconies! It was beautiful and gave us great sites to the old town. The staff also was helpful in booking taxis and events. Additionally, they were very welcoming of our 2x dogs traveling with us. Lastly, breakfast is a must-have! It was one of the top breakfasts in my life.

The front door was very difficult to find, google made it seem like it was on the busier street. We made some edits to the Google maps location to be up the stairs. The stay is well worth it!

spectacular hotel full of gorgeous detail and old world charm

everything - the hotel is stunning, so beautiful and unique inside; one review mentioned a “run down feel” - honey this is called old world charm and it was lovely. the staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. the outdoor terrace was LOVELY gorgeous sunny space and water view. the breakfast was ridiculously good - all included and made to order essentially whatever you like. great location - not far from a lot of sights but quiet at night. 15/10 would stay again :)

Lovely hotel convenient to metro

Lovely, lovely hotel that makes me want to linger in my room and common areas. Very handy location near metro station. Very warm welcome to the hotel. Breakfast is lovely in the breakfast room.

Would definitely stay here on my next trip to Lisbon.

The staff was exceptional. Included breakfast was first class. Everything prepared fresh. Enjoyed our stay in what was a private home built in the later part of the 19th century. Easy walk to many sites

Exceptional

This is great hotel, to feel taste of Lisbon and Portuguese culture. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff provide excellent service. Hotel located in historical part of city close to all attractions. Amazing breakfast will be served in style. My family enjoyed a lot will definitely came back again.

Nice property, no elevator, wonderful breakfast

The property is beautiful however the photos for the Deluxe Suite with River View room are not of the room we got. The photos are of a room that looks much larger with doors to a balcony. Our room did not have these features.

stunning art nouveau palace exquisite breakfast incredibly helpful staff a pure indulgence and in the best neighbourhood

Exceptional

We stayed at Lola suit which was more than we can describe. The hotel is in an ancient beautiful building close to the sea and main attractions. The staff - Rodrigo Bruno and Xavier were extremely nice and breakfast was very good. Most recommended to everyone that want a pleasant stay.

That they had no vacancy for another night.....

Stunning palace hotel with a great walkable location, top notch service!

Fantastic, beautiful light filled room, excellent service

We were not fully prepared for the entrance challenge of the steps from the taxi drop off. However, the staff came right out and helped us. Perhaps a better description of the entry options would help . Tiago was excellent with check in , helping book outside services and restaurant recommendations. He also serviced breakfast with style and humor. We highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff are super-accommodating regarding when needed where you would like to have it. Amazing place!

Don’t follow the Google Map directions to get there: it led us down narrow streets that are not at all appropriate for vehicles, even if they are small. Drive around the front and ask staff to help bring your luggage up.

I came with my mom for the first time to Lisbon and Alfama area. we both loved it ! we felt like we are princess in a fairy tell movie from old times. the suite were AMAZING. clean and comfortable. the person who works there were so nice ! always smiling and helping us and with good advises. the location is wonderful and the breakfast is Amazing !!! all top of the top ! and when we come back to Lisbon we will for sure come back to this amazing place and 1 time experience.

Ideal location for a short break and the views over the river are beautiful

This hotel is easily one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The location is excellent and the staff and service were exceptional. Breakfast was a real treat. We booked a taxi transfer through the hotel at €35 each way and I would highly recommend doing that as it is tricky to find. They have their own private driver who was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a complimentary mini bar with soft drinks, juice, water and a beer which was replenished each day which was a very nice touch.
