fabulous and memorable

staff were very friendly, the property was clean and tidy and in a great location. we will definitely be going back

the pillows, I normally bring my pillow but had forgotten it other than that everything was perfect

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be booking again soon

The lodge was clean and tidy inside and out. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was a nice size and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. Plenty of choice and the food was hot and fresh. We like the location as it’s only a short walk to either the town centre or the pier

Weekend away

Location is only a few minutes walk to the center of Ambleside and the breakfast was very good.

Having to fill a form in the night before for what time of you want breakfast and what you want to eat. Could hear other guests in room above, sounded like a wooden floor.

Incredible experience and good value for money

Great location, comfortable room, immaculate and very clean. Breakfast was very good and catered well for food intolerances and had good vegetarian options. Staff very polite and friendly.

Wonderful, warm welcome, beautiful room, great breakfast and close to Ambleside centre.

We were given a choice of rooms; we opted for a top-floor room, gorgeous and well-serviced, with great views of Loughrigg and looking across to Windermere. A wonderfully warm welcome, with Staff at breakfast friendly and really helpful. Will definitely look to stay here again; Ambleside is a regular visit for us.

Great location , a gem of a guest house will defo be coming back

it was very quiet with no children aloud , location excellent , staff very friendly and attends to your every needs or request and also they are very polite . the guest house is very modern and it smells Devine . breakfast great the cooked breakfast came out extremely hot and had as much toast at you wanted as with the tea and coffee and a section of fresh fruits , yougurt and cereals I would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going back myself the beds are sooooo comfortable as are the pillows I didn’t want to get out of bed .

not sure about pre ordering your breakfast and you have to give a time on the form of when you will be coming down to eat and no way of Changing this as when you go to the dining room your pre ordered breakfast is brought out more or less straight away but is delicious ..

the guest house was lovely. Well positioned for exploring Ambleside on foot. Bedroom was spacious and immaculately clean

it was spotlessly clean

after a long journey we were not greeted with a friendly hello - first sentence was ‘here’s the invoice can we have your credit card’.

Close to perfect!

The staff were charming. The breakfast was delicious. The bathroom design was excellent. The countryside and hill view from our room was delightful. There was plenty of parking and it was only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside.

Very good stay. Lovely room, and best hotel breakfast by far.

The deluxe king room was excellent. Right temperature and well equipped.

The pillows were too hard and uncomfortable, though they may suit other guests.

Fantastic time and didn’t want to leave.

The location was perfect.A very short walk into Ambleside,was able to leave the car at the hotel.The breakfast was brilliant.Cooked to perfection and as much toast as we could eat.Fresh milk was available to take to our room for tea and coffee and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.The room was lovely and very clean.Comfy bed and fluffy towels.Would highly recommended and will definitely book again.

Nothing could have been better than it was.
