If you like a social environment, look no further

Little hidden gem on the outskirts of the town centre. Very welcoming host, full of knowledge about the area. Breakfast had a good variety and it was nice to share it with others and connect. Thanks

A very special building, comfortable, but stay affected by the host not being available.

A lovely building being restored. Comfortable beds, and nice lounge for relaxing.

It appears that the place has not be well maintained most recently, which is a shame as otherwise it is a lovely place. Unfortunately, the main host wasn't available for our stay, but his friend filled in as best she could. Hard to give a recommendation given our stay, but I think had the main host been available we would have had a better experience, and this is reinforced by others' comments.

Interessante Unterkunft mit Super Host!

Tony ist ein super netter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer dieser Unterkunft, er hat uns manche super Tipps gegeben! Das Frühstück war immer zur gewünschten Zeit vorbereitet und wir hatten gute und informative Gespräche mit Tony. Der große Pool/Billardtisch war super!

Das Haus ist nicht ganz fertig renoviert und beim Eingang liegt noch einiges rum…wohl auch verständlich bei so einem großen Projekt.

Beyond happy

Honestly a great place to stay, the room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Tony is a very welcoming host. Breakfast was great served at the time you are asked. Would definitely recommend to stay at the Gisborne club and I will be staying again

Beautiful host makes you feel welcomed upon arrival. Great spot if you want to be close to town but still get that rural/country feel. Amazing home. Would definitley book again in the future.

We had an awesome stay at Tony’s accommodation! The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable with beautiful views. Outstanding service from Tony who even dropped/picked us up from our event and gave us a little tour of the town. A really warm and welcoming stay.. he really went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome visit. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!!! Thank you so much.

our host was extremely accommodating and provided great useful suggestions for our stay in the area and proved to be goo

The property was not completely finished however this detract from the charm, character and comfort of our stay. The location was very close to town with a rural outlook.

there were no dislikes, the only suggestion I would have is a lock on the bathroom door.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful accommodation, fantastic host.Quiet street with bush views.

Continental breakfast was lovely. Cereal, toast, hot croissant, fresh fruit,juice and a pot of tea. More than we could eat. The accommodation is amazing. Relocated ex working mans club being renovated by the lovely owner/manager Tony. High beamed ceilings in the living quarters, comfy bed, spotless bathrooms with thick fluffy towels. Will definitely go back there to see what progress he has accomplished. Thank you for your generous hospitality Tony and your korero about the history of you beautiful whare.
