If you want privacy and peacefulness, this is your destination. The worst part about the Nook was leaving it.

Make no mistake this property is an idyllic location and was spotlessly clean. The walk from the parking area to the property was described as a 30 second walk. It is about 150 yard walk. On the surface this isn't so bad considering the serene peacefulness realized upon arrival. The problem came later when we had to return to the car after dark. There were 4 or 5 "night lights" on trees to, at least, to provide a rough guideline of the path. Only 1 of this lights worked and it did not provide even a low level illumination to the path. There were small lantern type lights along the edge of the path as well but none of these were functioning either. Not safe! The staircase to the loft, while sturdily constructed, was problematic. As you ascended the stairs you quickly learned that the next step above was overhanging the step below. This required you to pull your foot backwards prior to lifting said foot up to the next step. This is certainly a trip hazard but it gets worse. When descending the staircase because of the overhang from the higher stair, there was only room for half or less of my foot on each lower stair. This represents another fall hazard and is unsafe. Finally, this property was described as having WiFi. Technically, it did but we were never able to watch a movie let alone read news or mail on our devices. The only modicum of success occurred when ONLY one device was used at a time. We will not stay again nor recommend this property to anyone.

The place was amazing. Perfect for 2 people; 4 people would be tight. The walk from the car is far and they provide a cart for luggage. There is a gas grill and a Keurig machine. The kitchen is small, but we made do. No oven, but there is microwave and toaster oven. The deck overlooked the woods, and we saw deer and other wildlife. There were nice deck chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The hot tub was wonderful although only 2 jets worked, but it was still very relaxing. There is only 1 small mirror in the place and that is above the bathroom sink. Bring a flashlight or lantern so you can see from the walk to and from the car at nighttime. It is a very dark walk at night. All the windows let in the natural light and was beautiful in the morning. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Great little place perfect for a small family. We were within 20 minutes to all the attractions and we had deer come in to see us everyday. We had a great experience for our first time visiting the area.

Overall we had a wonderful time. Sidney Nook is clean and accessible to all types of activities and restaurants. The property manager was responsive to my questions and concerns. My only issue was the WiFi, it was terrible, so bring all your directions—print them out. Plan out where you would like to eat. Also the shower could use some TLC,

Sydney Nook Treehouse is definitely a unique property to rent. It sits back in the woods and is a hike from the parking spot to the house. Not good for someone with mobility issues, but fun for most. They provide a wagon to help transport your luggage and coolers. It's small, best for a couple or a family with smaller kids, but does have an extensive wraparound deck to expand living area. The main living area only has a small loveseat and a high top table and stools, so relaxing together is not really an option unless you all sit on the deck. There is a hot tub and a fire pit. On our last day a severe storm knocked out power to the Logan area, so when we came back to the treehouse we had no power, internet or phone service so we had to abandoned the cabin. The property owner very nicely agreed to give us a partial refund since we lost a night in the cabin.

Perfect spot for our first vacation in a decade. My girls and I enjoyed the peace and seclusion of this perfect little treehouse to reconnect, recharge and simply enjoy some downtime. The listing said that there is a charcoal grill and that you should bring your own charcoal, I was thrilled to see that there is now a gas grill because this mom wasn’t going to mess with charcoal! The 30 second walk from the car was a little bit longer than that but well worth being off the road and nestled in nature where we watched the squirrels and mama deer with her twins.
