About this house rental
Spectacular luxury home on a quiet cove (off of Brawley School Road) in one of the most desirable areas of Lake Norman. “Deer Haven Cottage” has become a haven for many to come and pull away from everyday life. This tree-studded lot provides stunning 4 mile views up the main channel offering a private dock with a boat slip and deep water. Lovely wooded outdoor space with green lawn and fire pit. Multiple outdoor seating and dining areas make for versatile ways to enjoy the scenery and amenities. Inside you will find an open gourmet kitchen with commercial-grade appliances. Vaulted ceilings with a 14 ft stacked stone fireplace, batten board walls, custom wood finishes, and natural sunlight. The primary suite is large and luxuriously appointed with vaulted ceilings, king size bed, free-standing tub, oversized shower, and dual vanities. Two other private bedrooms mirror each other. A charming upstairs tree house like bunk room with access via a ladder has 4 built-in twin bunks. Suitable for children 7 and above and adults. Home has surround sound, wifi, and televisions in each bedroom. Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, inside and outside games are provided. Plenty of parking and easy access to world-class golf, fine dining, multiple waterfront restaurants and all of the amenities Lake Norman has to offer.

Loved the home! Such a great spot on the lake. Perfect place to hang out in the water and a great view as well. Service was phenomenal! Hosts assisted with every need and we had an amazing weekend! Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended!!!

What a beautiful home!! The location on the lake is perfect. It has a beautiful view but also a safe place to swim for the kids. We loved cooking in the kitchen! It had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. Definitely recommend renting the boat as well. We hope to come back!

We were so happy with our stay! Everything was fantastic and the attention to detail superb! The home is outstanding and the views of lake from inside and out were absolutely beautiful!
We spent most of our time outside on the deck or sitting at the table on the dock. It was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the variety of birds in and around the water as well as the deer who came up to visit.
I would certainly revisit this home for a future visit. Our only regret is that we had such a short visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short mini vacation at this adorable Lakehouse. It was very comfortable, clean, well decorated and the kitchen was just perfect for our foodie family that cooked all weekend and enjoyed some much overdue family time. Top off each evening with a campfire lakeside and we slept like babies in our comfy beds! We didn’t rent the guest house on the property but would definitely do so next time if our whole family comes along.. really worth the stay!! Thank you so much Shane for your hospitality!

Rented the home for a week with our grown children and new grandbaby for Thanksgiving! House and property were perfect for entertaining. Plenty of space, and the kitchen was well stocked for preparing our dinner!

Nice home that worked well for my grown family and infant. Kitchen is great and is part of a large family room looking out at the lake. Host was very responsive for questions. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants within 10 minutes. Would definitely book again. Toddler friendly.

Super week on Lake Norman! Property location is great and close to Mooresville with everything we needed - shopping, restaurants, and activities. Home was gorgeous, loved the urban farmhouse decor and open floor plan. Lake access and location for boating was perfect, great cove close to main channel. Lots of fun tubing with the kids. Great swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding off the dock. Our lab loved it and got a great workout each day. Shane was very responsive for a few items that came up over the week. Highly recommend and would stay again!

The home is cozy, light and beautifully decorated. And the views of the lake from the kitchen, living areas and the master bedroom are gorgeous. Kitchen was full stocked with everything we needed.
Being able to sit with on the deck in the morning with coffee was wonderful as was sitting by the bonfire one night.
We rented the boat for the week, which was great fun especially with our teenagers. We got to see areas of the lake we otherwise would not have. Paddle boarding (we brought 2) right off the dock was awesome, too.
Shane, the owner, was very responsive with a couple of questions and minor issues that we had during our stay.
Highly recommend this beautiful property!

This home was truly amazing- all the upgrades and features one could want. So tastefully decorated, we didn't want to leave! The kayaks and paddleboards were an extra bonus! The owner was wonderful to work with and very understanding when we had a mishap. Couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommend!

We had 7 people in and out and it was perfect! We also rented the pontoon boat which was very nice, as well as the additional cottage space. It was a great space, everything we needed and not too far from whatever you may want. Great trip!

I came across this property while looking for places to host a short getaway for my Mom's 73rd birthday weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, stunning floor to ceiling windows and spacious accommodations. Checking in was a breeze, and we hope to plan a return visit with some nephews to enjoy the kayaking and boating of Lake Norman

My family and I had a wonderful relaxing vacation in this beautiful lake house. We were very happy with the attention to detail and the quality furnishings and amenities. We have stayed in many vacation homes and this property owner spared no expense to make our stay feel like we were in our own home. As we sat looking out at the incredible views, we were already planning our next visit.

We had a fantastic stay. The views are awesome, the house is great with all the vaulted ceilings and windows to the lake, it's only a 15 minute drive to Costco, and our kids loved sleeping up in the loft bunk beds. We also rented the owner's pontoon boat (seats 12) and that was really nice being able to explore distant parts of the lake and boat to dinner -- the kids also loved tubing, wake boarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, as well as diving and swimming around the dock area. It was a great first impression of Lake Norman for me, and we are looking forward to the next time we can make it out there.

The property and location is everything it says it is and more. The house and decor was tasteful and not overbearing. Access to the lake and comfortable outdoor space allowed for a lot of time enjoying the beauty of the lake and the property around the house.

I would highly recommend this house for your stay on Lake Norman. We traveled with three families including children and thoroughly enjoyed this property. Shane was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. The house is beautiful and is very comfortable and has all of the amenities including a paddle board, kayaks, fire pit and more. The kids enjoyed the bunk room. We took advantage of an optional boat rental from Shane which was very convenient. House is located in a very nice neighborhood on the lake and is centrally located. The house is better than the pictures. We look forward to booking this house again. Highly recommended.

The home is wonderful. The main room overlooking the lake is breathtaking, pictures on site are very accurate. We had two families stay there (5 kids aged 9 - 12), home easily fit us all. Wifi worked very fast for the unfortunate days parents had to work. The water toys included (kayaks, paddle board) were great and the location on lake is perfect - close to main bay for expansive views but in protected cove so safe for kids in water. We rented a boat to explore the lake and hit some of the on-lake dining, highly recommend doing this. The owner was also very easy to work with. We would 100% return to this lake and this home!

Beautiful little cabin, love the full windows lake view from open concept kitchen & living room. Great lake access. Bunk room upstairs with ladder access best for older kids, not toddlers. Great location for food, delivery, restaurants, groceries. Well stocked kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay!

The property was clean and comfortable. The best feature is the deck out back, overlooking the lake. It’s a really beautiful view. The owner is quick to respond to inquiries and very accommodating. We also rented the owner’s pontoon boat for two days. It’s clean and very reasonably priced.

My wife picked this house out for an Easter weekend getaway mainly because of the gourmet kitchen and access to the boat slip. We installed a Garmin GPS on our Bowrider at the end of last season and wanted to put it through its paces in unfamiliar territory. The Kitchen and docks were great for me but our kids 17 and 20 enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, fishing and of course the wifi. The property was pet friendly and our Jack Russell’s enjoyed the lake and chasing the Geese, Deer and cotton tails that roamed the grounds. My wife enjoyed the large deck, the huge master suite and the kayaks as well. Shane was very helpful and has done a wonderful job updating the once mediocre house. I highly recommend!
I forgot to mention the huge grill on the deck, on demand hot water heater, the massive master shower, the loft with bunk beds, access to the wake board, Netflix DISNEY plus and Amazon prime as well as cable, close proximity to dining and shopping, and the large circular driveway for easy access if you bring a boat. 5 star stay!!!
