Blue Mountains Cottage getaway

Wood fire was super cosy with the rainy weather we encountered. Wood supplied. Thank you :) The heater blankets to warm the bed. Beautiful scenic surroundings. Location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Bird seed for the wildlife. We enjoyed watching all the birds on the bird feeder. Board games. Book of things to do.

Globes blown on rear verandah. Be aware of appliances before using them. Some of them had not been used in awhile and needed a good clean eg Coffee plunger and coffee machine. The bbq had been updated and was a lot smaller than what was shown in photos and changed what we had to prepare.

A lovely place to get your back broken

The cottage is located in a good place and well maintained. The appearance is lovely.

While you could see a lot of effort spent around decoration and visual appearance, the place is very poor, though, from a safety perspective. The stairs that led to the main entrance are very dangerous. There was no adequate lighting at night and covered with a slippery gravel. The railings are only on one side of the entrance. I put so much emphasis as my wife got severely ensured when she tried to enter a house in a pitch dark evening. The injure was so bad that we nearly end up in a hospital. Similar situation is on the back yard. Lots of beautifully distributed decoration stones. All shifty and slippery. The communication with the cottage owner wasn't satisfying too. When I notified about the event a minimal interest was taken in the happening. I advised that the staircase and the lighting are not safe by design and explained the reasons, but there was no adequate response to that.

Value for money comfortable cottage with everything you need.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location with a tree filled view from the open plan kitchen/ living room. Large Master bedroom overlooked a charming cold climate garden. Large easy to use television. Well appointed kitchen and very comfy beds. 3 minute drive to all the wonderful Cafes and great shops in Leura Mall.

Comfortable, spacious, older style property.

property was very comfortable, well appointed.. The bedrooms were spacious, bed and bedding very comfortable and warm. we did enjoy the fire in the evenings. lovely back yard with lots of Kookaburras and Cockatoos coming each afternoon.

Without the fire in the living room it would have been cold as the AC struggled to heat such a large room.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Very homely, has everything you would need including a nice fireplace to keep warm on a cold night. Would highly recommend staying at Bluebell.

A spacious retreat tranquil and comfortable.

Spacious quiet and nestled in a valley with a spring winding through the garden. Filled with wildlife and a real home away from home. Little details counted: bird seed, candles, lush towels, essential supplies in the kitchen and Netflix. The cottage was beautifully clean and totally private. only a few minutes drive from the Leura Mall.

Dishwasher was getting to the end of life with drawer stiff and door loose - but it worked fine.

Lovely mountain retreat

Spacious, very well equipped, comfortable beds with electric blankets, quiet location, log fire with plenty of wood provided, lovely garden.

Would benefit from central heating, especially in bedrooms

We had a lovely stay at Bluebell Cottage - wish we could have stayed longer!

A very nicely appointed cottage with good amenities and a lovely outlook. The location is leafy and quiet and an easy drive into the township of Leura. An ideal spot to stay for a weekend or longer to explore the Blue Mountains. It was an extra treat to have all the cockatoos and parrots visit us in the backyard in the afternoons!

The log fire was great but it took us a long time to get it going as the timber that was supplied was slightly wet. The house was very chilly when we arrived in the late afternoon so it took us several hours to warm it up once we got the fire going.

Cosy, clean, well equipped house in good location.

Liked location, clean, fireplace with plenty of wood. Lots of supplies (not stingy with dishwasher tabs, soaps,cloths etc)

Not a big issue but Wifi signal was poor, channel 9 poor reception so couldnt watch the footy.

location and ambience fine set in the bush with visits by native birds an added attraction

Heating inadequate in bathrooms especially in a cold Leura Winter Could not access Sydney TV stations on main TV (? antenna problem)

Great set up. Everything we needed there. Super relaxing. Parrots a highlight!

Beds hard for my liking. Would of been nice if heater on for arrival as house was freezing!

OK but have stayed in better places.

Location was great. Back garden lovely and well maintained. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of instructions in house.

Very old style. Dark wood everywhere. Wasn't clean under the sofa, BBQ wasn't clean either. Expected a little more for the price point.

Bluebell Cottage - delightful Blue Mountains stay.

Lovely outlook into a bush gully, secluded and quiet. The house was clean, pleasantly decorated and very comfortable. It was exactly what we needed for our stay and located in a lovely part of North Leura.

The one shortcoming of the house was poor internet connection.
