Pros: Lovely people. Quiet, secluded natural setting. The house was incredibly spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels. Secure. They've done a nice job with the furnishings. It was cold during our stay, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Cons: 1. This place really remote, even more so than it appears on the map because the roads in and out are very windy and slow. Travel time is longer than expected. Travel time to Sequoia National Park was a good 45 min and then getting around inside the park requires considerable additional driving. 2. There is 1 bar/restaurant (Pinehurst Lodge) within a one hour drive. You need to come prepared with all your groceries because the nearest grocery is at least 1 hour away. The house is not stocked with any kitchen essentials other than coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper, and DW soap. 3. The house needs more lighting but that should be easy for the management to address. 4. As you can see from the photo, this house is a triple wide modular home - very spacious but dated and worn (kitchen, bathrooms). The appliances all worked but they're old. So, it all depends on what you're looking for and what you're used to. Overall, our stay was fine. The main downside was location. Next time, we'll probably stay in the park.

The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees. When we got there, he was spot on.

This is a great spot about 30mins out from the Big Stump Entrance to Kings Canyon NP. There are no groceries nearby and very sparce restaurants which the property was clear about so we got groceries in Fresno before driving up. The kitchen has enough utensils for simple meals. Coffee and a few essentials like cooking oil, salt and pepper were provided. Overall a little dated but clean. We enjoyed the view from our deck and being able to explore the grounds.
