This house was perfect for our BBNP off-road adventure! The house was very clean and well appointed. The decor was spot on with lots of reading materials regarding the Big Bend area. There was plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the large wrap around deck. Willow Mountain is very close to Terlingua and BBNP so we could get to our destinations Quickly! The driveway is quite steep, so be ready for a little 4-wheel drive to climb the last little bit to your private getaway!

Amazing property that couldn’t be in a better location. Everything about the place was perfect. Views were unbeatable. Incredible experience staying at the house, kitchen was fully stocked, rooms we big and views were unmatched. Will be staying again, perfect for a family or group of 8.

I just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Willow Mountain Ridge Retreat. The place was beautifully appointed and the views were spectacular. The property is only about a 3 minute drive from the highway and about a 7 minute drive into Terlingua. There are two levels each with a separate entrance. The staircase between the levels is exterior but covered. The upper level is the kitchen and living area with plenty of space to spread out. A covered deck gives fantastic views of BBNP. We often had breakfast and dinner on the deck and soaked in the views. Downstairs are the bedrooms and a TV area. The downstairs porch and fire pit were perfect for star gazing and s’mores. Guests might want to bring along a puzzle, game, or deck of cards for lazy cloudy evenings. Otherwise, you’re probably going to want to be outside. The last part of the drive to the property was quite steep. They recommend a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle. Sadly, we had neither. We were in a 2 wheel drive rental car and the assent was unnerving, even for a driver with experience on gravel roads. But, the oasis that is Willow Mountain Ridge Retreat awaiting you at the top made it worth it! We would definitely return.

Plenty of room to stay, play games and enjoy. Great location and views. Property manager was available and responsive to a couple questions. It is a somewhat steep hill as mentioned but the views and privacy are worth it! Will definitely come back.
