WILL GO AGAIN FOR SURE

Honestly this place was everything I was looking for and more! Yoshiro-san is the best host, he will pick you up/drop off at the train station for free. He offers like 3 rides a day for you to go basically wherever you want in the area and he’s very comfortable with google translate so no problem communicating! The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the people are super friendly! I stayed there 2 nights but wished I stayed longer.

Perfekt zum runterfahren in der Natur mit Nähe zu den Locals

Es ist ein sehr gemütliches, traditionell eingerichtetes Gästehaus. Das Zimmer ist sehr kuschelig, geräumig für 2 Personen und ruhig. Der Besitzer ist sehr lieb. Ihm ist sehr wichtig, dass alle Gäste glücklich und zufrieden sind. Er hat uns ohne Aufpreis zum Bahnhof gebracht und dort abgeholt. Er hat uns auch zum Jigokudani Affenpark gebracht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt.

Man hält sich bis 22.00 Uhr im Wohnbereich des Hauses auf, erst danach kann man sich auf das Zimmer zurückziehen. Wenn man Nachmittags nicht unterwegs ist und Ruhe haben möchte, ist das natürlich schade. Es ist außerdem sehr ländlich gelegen. Am besten kauft man tagsüber, wenn man unterwegs ist, Abendessen in einem Konbini.

Hospitalité, gentillesse, disponibilité

Le monsieur, dont je ne souviens pas du nom s´occupe seul de cette auberge hors du commun. D´une gentillesse et d´une disponibilité permanente. Ils sait se plier en quatre comme savent si bien le faire les japonnais et pas seulement dans les origamis, pour satisfaire vos moindres exigences. Un sens aigü et si agréable de l´hospitalité. N´oubliez pas de lui faire un petit cadeau, même modeste, il appréciera votre geste.

Juste un petit bémol.L´auberge est un peu loin de la ville et des commerces mais l´hôte vous y conduira sans problème. Il propose même de venir vous cueillir à l´une des deux gares les plus proches.

湯たんぽとか、総じて素晴らしかった。

広い畳の部屋で布団が二つ、湯たんぽが入っていて暖かかった。非常に清潔で、コスパ最高！オーナーも非常に良い人で、止まっている人達も良い人達でした。又、徒歩数分のとこに温泉が有り、そこの食事も安くて美味かった。メニュー豊富で例えば刺身定食800円って今時素晴らしい。私は鯖一夜干し焼き魚定食でなんと600円でした。宿が空いていたら、合わせて又利用したいです。

Big hostmanship!!!

De enorme gastvrijheid en behulpzaamheid vd eienaar. Hij bracht ons en haalde ons op vh monkeypark en de trein. Dacht mee over mogelijke beste keuzes....restaurant, osen, ATM vinden, beste bezoektijden apen....echt geweldig! Zo behulpzaam en warm waren onze andere overnachting bij andere accommodaties nog niet. Leuke gemeenschappelijke woonkamer Zelf koffie/thee pakken Leuke traditionele kamer Lekker ontbijt

Niks Ja, ....voor de douche moet je even 5 m naar buiten. Maar of dat nu zo erg is..

Most cosy and authentic place to stay. Highly recommend.

Most friendly and accommodating host. Pick up and drop of from the train station, monkey park and a variety of onsens (5 to 10 min). Biggest ski resort in Japan only 40 minutes away by bus. Exceptional breakfast, a must try. Very comfortable beds (we had a spacious private room). Heater in the room and warm water bottle in the bed for extra comfort. Clean bathrooms. Cosy common area. Good wifi.

Loved my stay, 100% recomend.

I loved everthing about my stay, the owner was super nice and drove us to places and picked us up. He gave us great recomendations on what to do, places to eat and what time it was better to go to the snow monkey park. The place was very traditional, the owner put hot water bottles in our beds to stay warm. I would definitely book again.

洗練された空間で仕事したいリモートワーカーにぜひ勧めたい。

洗練されたコミュニティスペース。暖炉の火、木に囲まれた空間が好きな人はぜひ泊まってほしい。業務用に利用していたキッチンは、調理欲を掻き立てる。窓からの眺めも美しい。オーナーが手入れしているお花畑もぜひ堪能してほしい。少し離れたエリアに温泉街があるので、温泉好きにも良い。カフェやバー営業は無いが、サービスでコーヒーをドリップさせてもらえる。ぜひ連泊しお昼間もゆったり過ごしたい。お洒落なワークスペースを求めるリモートワーカーには最適な宿。

連泊に適した宿であるが、安宿としては若干高単価なため、躊躇してしまう。駅からは距離があり、コンビニやスーパー等も徒歩移動は厳しい。キャッシュレスに対応できておらず、個性的なオーナーに好き嫌いが分かれそうなお宿。会話の中に散らばるネガティブな表現が気にかかった。素晴らしいコンセプトの宿なのでちょっとした表現や振る舞いでリピーターの心を掴める、まだまだ可能性を秘めたお宿と感じた。

Bestmöglicher Aufenthalt

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hat uns einen Abholservice für und vom Bahnhof und zum Snow Monkey Park ohne Aufpreis angeboten. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war, das beste Frühstück während unseres Japan Urlaubs. Es ist ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Amazing host and exceptional relaxing place in the Japanese countryside with touristic activities

At first I was not sure if the previous comments were exaggerated, but it turned out they were not: my stay was amazing and one of my best experiences in Japan. A beautiful Japanese-style room all for myself, a delicious breakfast, and many cheerful conversations with Yoshiro-san. The mountains and garden are delighting, and the place is so quiet that I slept without earplugs. Being here off-season was also very relaxing: Monkey Park, Shibu-onsen, Hokusai-kan at Obuse, and so on, with no crowds at all. Yoshiro-san is a wonderful host and he generously gave me a ride to many places to see. Thank you so much Yoshiro-san!

A traditional Inn with rural views, not close to town but the welcoming Host makes up for this.

The Guest House Manager was super welcoming, helpful and accommodating and went out of his way to make our stay an enjoyable one and picked us up and dropped us off at the Station as well as took us to an Shin Onsen and even to the Monkey Forrext as it was a quiet time for the Guest House. Although he does not speak English he made every effort to ensure that we understood his directions and understood what we said to him via Google Translate.

Go there when you visit Yudanaka!

Are you going to Yudanaka to visit the Snow Monkey Park? Don’t doubt and book Guesthouse Honami-Kaido. The friendly owner will pick you up at the train station and will bring you to restaurants, Onsens (spa’s) and to the Monkey park. You will sleep in a traditional bed, which is a really nice experience. Not uninportantly, the owner is a great cook, you will love the extensive breakfast! Go there!

it was brilliant! The host is such a kind, warm and open-hearted man who really went out of his way to make our lives easier and provided excellent service! The place is rustic and traditional, with a wood stove and comfy couches. The view in the common room is really nice over the valley and adjacent is a fruit and vegetable garden

Hospitality, comfort and professionality. Highly recommended.

Our staying coludn't have been better. We haven't found the hospitality that Yoshiro-san showed to us in any other place during our vacation in Japan. He helped us to move around and to plan our itinerary to Monkey Park and the onsens. The Guest House was very charming, welcoming and original. He prepared us some delicious coffee and tea. Thank you a lot, Yoshiro-san!

Good for one-night stay if you are visiting the Snow Monkey Park the next morning.

The host spoke no English whatsoever. The location is not the best, too: it’s actually quite far from the station, and the only way to get to the gursthouse is walking for 30 minutes (unless the host offers a pick-up).

Friendly staff and great facilities.

Friendly staff, he help us checked the bus rounds and planned departure time. Ride service to and form station, public bath, convenience stores and snow monkey park.

The bathroom is 5 meters away from the main building so it was a little cold. Without the ride services, the place is quite far from the city.

The property was cozy, homey and felt like a little mountain chalet.

Though it is not in Nagano center, the host is incredibly helpful and happily drove me anywhere I wanted to go without any extra charge.

Since the location is away from the main street, it is peaceful and quiet. The host is very welcoming and kind, and goes out of his way to ensure your stay is comfortable. He tucked into the bed a hot water bottle, to ensure it would be warm and cozy. He also drove me in the morning to the Snow Monkey Park car park. And the breakfast he prepared was delicious, filling, and included some fruits from his garden. Highly recommend!!
