The gym. Is not that great. Very little in the way of workout options. One pool, nothing special about it. Compared to some other options that are less expensive, these two things stuck out as below average

Halekulani is already looking tired from a resort perspective. Overpriced to the point of being out of proportion with

Clean & accommodating with attentive staff

Overly attentive staff with emphasis on pushing comfort boundaries for tips… Food was ordinary for a 5 star hotel and the focus was on outside visitors instead of trying to make the actual hotel paying guests a priority

Unwelcoming attitude from one of the bartenders toward my husband - he was sceptical that my husband was a guest of the hotel and required him to prove his ID and room details before he would serve him a drink at the pool bar before dinner.

We really enjoyed it and planning to visit again.

Its so clean and have a good vibes. We likes the special touches they leave daily at the room. Loved the cookies and ice cream they were offering at tge pool.

No music at the pool. Its so boring Limited time for all the lounges and bars. Maximum to 9 or 11 pm. The price is highly expensive. The problem that we have solved at 4 am last night it was disaster. To our room and two other rooms. But thanks God the agent who compensated for us

Doesn’t worth the money .. I was staying in Sheraton with an ocean view room and it was cheaper than this. I didn’t like the experience. I took a non ocean view room and it was more expensive than the Sheraton ocean view room

The halekulani hotel and resort is an amazing hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent food and beautiful location. It is a little pricey, but it's worth the vacation.

Best luxury hotel in Waikiki - a mid-century style paradise with incredible pool area, spacious room

This is hands down the nicest hotel in Waikiki/Honolulu - others simply do not compare for the luxury experience. The size of even the smallest rooms is ample, with a luxury bathroom and super comfortable beds, sitting area, and balcony. The drinks at the pool bar and the breakfasts and views, as well as the public spaces, and the beautiful pool itself, are all unbeatable. This is a great place to escape screaming children and crowds and have a civilized, elegant Hawaiian vacation without traveling to an outer island.

Sound insulation in the room was actually rather poor, which became a problem about two nights into our stay when a noisy guest moved in next door. There was also some strange noise coming from upstairs. Orchids restaurant is not as good for dinner as it used to be - the 'Italian-Hawaiian' theme is not a great one.

The perfect trip to Waikiki

Excellent location. Lovely rooms and staff. I liked the restaurants, the live music at night. I enjoyed the pool it’s large and there are many lounge chairs.

Eat and get spa services elsewhere but stay here.

Amazing property and the entire staff was top notch. Didn’t encounter one staff member who wasn’t eager to make your stay better. Rooms were decent size but very nice. Bathrooms were fantastic. The housekeeping and engineers were Johnny on the spot to make everything perfect. The grounds, staff and service were absolutely top notch.

Minor things…. Pricing for meals is way over what it should be with an added 15% built in. Breakfast for 3 was 165 bucks before tip. We found ourselves eating elsewhere. Definitely need a hot tub for the pool area. Spa prices were also extremely elevated. Need a shuttle to the airport. One way booked through them cost us 235.
