No Pool and Jacuzzi

Bed was comfortable and good movie on TV

The pool and jacuzzi it's closed for good. And no information of this was given in booking.com they need to update their post and remove the pool pictures if there planning of removing it for good.

Disappointed

The staff upfront was very friendly very willing to help with anything they could. They were awesome!

Housekeeping- The room had hair in the bathroom when we arrived. We asked that someone come and take a look at cleaning it. No one ever did. The day the person did she STILL never cleaned the hair. Didn’t take out the trash either. The Head Housekeeper had a very bad attitude when we asked about cleaning the room. But the day of checkout did it for me. We were behind a little and the girl was told she could come in and start preparing the room but she didn’t. The next thing We know here comes the Head Housekeeper with someone from up front as we are leaving as if it was problem trying to get out the room. I told her She should have had the same energy cleaning it as she did trying to get us out. I was highly disappointed and will NEVER stay here again. Not to mention the bugs in the room.

They went the extra mile to allow me space for my motorcycle

I asked the clerk if I could par my motorcycle under the canopy at the entrance and she got permission for me to park it there. I sincerely appreciatedw that.

Seem like there where kids above me making noise till 12am

My room was clean & comfortable. The staff was awesome, very helpful. The location is great, close to all stores & restaurants.

The pool was closed for repairs.

Would definitely recommend for a cost effective stay in Wilmington

Location was perfect for all things we were there to do, plus a massive bonus that Target was across the road, along with food places within good walking distance (although wouldn't recommend walking at night as few questionable people hanging on streets around Target and further down). Rooms were very spacious, plenty of parking and staff were very helpful and friendly with accommodating an early check-in. Gorgeous entrance/lobby area!

Only minor thing was that the pool wasn't in service (didn't affect us too much as only there for 1 night)

It was fine for my overnight visit.

Location was quiet.

I missed the road leading to the motel. It is set back from the main road and hard to see. The dresser in my room was very shabby. Sections were broken and one handle was missing.

Convenient location

The indoor pool was closed & I wasn’t aware until until a few days before arrival. It could have been a little cleaner. We asked for clean towels and didn’t receive them. We had to go to the desk to get them.

I stayed for my daughters move into UNCW. The location and facilities were right for my needs

Very nice front desk staff. Good breakfast with lots of options. Good location and close to UNCW. Check out time is noon which worked out great for my needs this trip

The facilities were a bit worn with chips and stains on wood. our room had a large pink stain on the carpet. Our toilet was in need of repair because it didn’t flush very well. unless you held the handle down for a long time. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance

The stay was fine

The property was a good location very quite , love the feel of the environment especially coming from New York where it’s pretty loud. Very convent food, stores were literally in walking distance

I didn’t like the fact they did not tell the truth about having the pool open. I called before I booked and sent a message to the property . I was told the pool was open.. only to get there after driving 13 hours with my 5 year old to learn no pool for her. The response from the hotel was you can cancel by 12 get a full refund and find another hotel. I found that disrespectful : especially the fact we were tired. Also I booked to pay at the property when I arrived I was contacted in the middle of my driving to pay or the reservation would be canceled. Just not good business at all, oh yeah the carpet in the hotel was disgusting

Location

Large sticky brown stains on the floor in room, not enough bedding for guests (we asked each day for more), smoke detector was going off due to low battery, and staff told us to just remove it from the ceiling and take out the battery (we had to stand on furniture to get to it), very loud neighbors playing party music past 2am (we had to complain many times each night and nothing was done), only one staff member on premise (limited ability to help), weird smell throughout hotel, cockroaches in room (alive), huge spiders and spider webs near entrance.

Satisfied and would return again at a lower price.

Staff were very friendly and curteous. Breakfast was very good, but the coffee not so good. The facility was clean with ample parking which was well lit on the front and sides.

The room had a smoked smell to it and the door was difficult to open and close. The pool was not in service. I had to attend a funeral so it was on short notice. My sisters secured lodging elsewhere and on even shorter notice and paid $25 less per night at a comperable hotel.

Superb

Staff were friendly. The hotel was clean and well staffed. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot with good water pressure.

Cookies, when they were available, and candy at front desk. View of the trees. Quiet room.

Musty smell, turned out to be mildew. Door hard to open, close, and put security lock on it.

Needs better maintenance

hot breakfast, comfy beds, nice rooms, updated appliances

Pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. A/C in room needs HVAC serviced...1st thermostat needs new batteries before it would work, maintenance man appeared 2 hours after our check in and went to wet vac the A/C drip tray and then replaced thermostat battery. A/C worked most of the night until A/C drip trayed filled up with water and tripped the shut off feature. Did some trouble shooting myself, maintenance guy came and wet vac A/C drip tray while we were at the beach. Figured out that to keep A/C running we had to use a trash can from the bathroom to empty the A/C drip tray (see pictures) of water or else we would be without cold A/C. Appears that this was a known problem as the insulation around the A/C drainage pipe has already been pealed away and a hole was made in an attempt to clear the clogged line. Staff did not offer to change room assignment or discount for all our troubles. Also, room had exposed electrical light switch (must have been recently painted)

Take you life in your own hands

the property was very run down including foul smells , faulty AC with loud noises and banging only working partially. the pool had green very stagnant water in it . the front desk people was rude and there was no management on site. it was dirty and we were very disappointed, oh I forgot to say they have a government program where they allow extended stay to homeless people… they told us because they were hanging around the front of the hotel all day. Thus hotel needs to be closed fine or turned into a half way house. we paid $904.00 for 2 nights fir 2 rooms , thus way about $904.00 too much.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great!

They added on an additional $25 fee upon arrival. Any additional fees should have been mentioned or included in the price. Basically paid $200 for a regular motel room.
