Great breakfast, adorable and clean room, and excellent host, Kenneth! We had a lovely time at the Hollinger House. We especially enjoyed looking at the vintage furniture and talking a walk to the bamboo forest on site.
The bed was a little firm for those who like a soft mattress, but it was not a problem for us. They could provide body moisturizer--I ran out and was hoping for that amenity.

Kenneth is a friendly and attentive host who made me feel very welcome. He was very helpful with advice about restaurants and attractions and directions, etc. He even invited me to a party he had one evening. Breakfast was modest but tasty and adequate. The B&B itself is in a lovely location with 6 acres of property to wander around and the house and its furnishings are beautiful. It is conveniently located a few miles outside of Lancaster center has free, private parking - which is a bonus in that area. In short, Hollinger House is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it.
The one thing that surprised me was that there was no maid service after check-in. Perhaps this is a holdover from Covid.
Adequate towels and toiletries were provided, however, it would have been nice to have the lovely bed made up each day. That was the only negative.

the house is very impressive but also on top of being a beautiful manor very functional - guests can enjoy common areas, relax, play board games, sports and explore the surrounding grounds - the inn keeper Kenneth is always there to make sure everyone is having a good time

The hospitality was hands down exceptional. Loved the property and the interior design. Breakfast was delicious and it was enjoyable to talk with other guest.

the house decor is beautiful and the grounds were a perfect place to walk and relax
personal opinion but we missed not having a tv

The property is a lovely historic mansion, restored and maintained to capture its vintage charm. Our room was a large room with 4 windows and a separate large bath. The furnishings were luxurious, eye appealing and comfortable. Our host Ken made us feel like we owned the place and couldn’t have been more welcoming. If you want peace and quiet and a lovely house and grounds to escape to, this IS the place.
Nothing disliked.

This is a gorgeous historic home that was beautifully decorated. We loved relaxing in each of the rooms and walking the peaceful property. Kenneth, the owner, shared about the very interesting history of the house and whipped up delicious breakfasts every morning. He was accommodating to all our needs but not at all overbearing. We played games in the game room, read in the library, and I WISH I could have played the grand piano in the living room. (I was encouraged to do so but can’t play) We stayed in the gorgeous master suite (Michael) that had a HUGE balcony viewing the expansive property. Had it been warmer, we would have spent lots more time there. It’s very close to all of the activities of Lancaster, yet you feel like you’re out in the country. It’s a great couple’s getaway!

Very well kept older property. The area surrounding it was peaceful and beautifully landscaped.
It was a little too close to a main road and we could hear cars passing during the night. However, if I had not been woken up at 2:30am and then 3:30am from an emergency phone call from a family member I probably would not have heard anything.

A lot of History. It was a pleasure to be there.

There was not one thing about our stay that we did not LOVE. Every detail of the place is beautiful and intentionally appointed. Our host was welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was perfect. I cannot say enough about this lovely, historic gem.
That I had to leave!

it was a beautiful property. Host was very nice and accommodating.

Beautifully kept antique (1870). Spacious enough bedroom room.
The road noise is terrible, at least in my room (Hathiel)
I could not sleep the first night, and had to go to CVS to get heavy-duty silicon ear plugs, which helped the second night, but still…
The breakfast was passable, the parking spaces insufficient, the bed a bit creaky, but otherwise confortable, my private bath was in the hallway - something I had not realized when I booked.
A guest decided to okay the living room piano near midnight (at least I think so; I didn’t take my ear plugs to check)…

The innkeeper, Kenneth, was wonderful! He was so welcoming and made us feel right at home-- no detail was left out. The house is stunning and immaculate, and the grounds are beautiful. It reminded me a lot of country houses and inns I've stayed in abroad. The location was perfect-- close to all the sightseeing and shopping, but far enough off the beaten path to provide peace and tranquility from the buzz of the tourist attractions. I plan to make this a regular place to stay.

it felt like home, away from home. very comfortable, loved Kenneth’s personality!
the parking was a bit tight when multiple guests were there

it was so beautiful! built in 1870 and the decor matched that time period. there were multiple seating areas that you could hang out in and eat your breakfast. beautiful art was on display in the library of the home. the outdoor area was lovely- there was a creek running behind the property and there was a place to have a fire.
4.8
The room was clean and comfortable. The house is beautiful and situated on a somewhat secluded property with plenty of areas to kick back and relax.

Beautiful authentic B & B. The house was built in the 1870's and was just amazing. The house has each room dated to that era. From the glass chandeliers to the beautiful crown molding. It felt like we were right in that time period. The wrap around porch and the beautiful property grounds were lovely. We sat on a bench and drank wine at the edge of a stream. It is located close to all the great shopping spots and the sight and sound theater which was great. Kenneth and Teddy were so friendly and helpful at finding great spots to eat and shop. They both made the stay a special one.

Great breakfast and location

What we really liked is the total experience, you can use the veranda, the games room, the library and the living room next to your own room. It feels very homey. And you can, if you want, also make contact with the other guests. We ourselves had good contact with the new owner, he really makes you feel at home and makes a delicious breakfast

Beautifully kept grounds surround this historic bed and breakfast. Kenneth is working very hard to re-establish the revitalized B&B to new levels of experiences. He is delivering excellence with it’s warmth and charm. John the grounds keeper was Amiable and shared some personal history about this wonderful establishment. Teddy, the housekeeper, is warm, helpful and engaging.

Beautiful house, very comfy beds, pleasant staff and close to tourist attractions in Lancaster
This isn’t really anything to fix but walls were very thin and you could hear folks talking in neighboring rooms. But no one was up too late.

I found the location comfortable and unique. It had a personality and presence that felt more like home than a sanitized corporate hotel. The breakfast was light and tasty. The room was spacious and clean. The entire experience was far more personal than you will get from a chain.
About the only issue we had was parking. They have parking, but when the house gets to capacity, I can see becoming an issue.

Very cool property and historical perspective. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would certainly stay there agsin. Excellent croissants!
