Overall, The Porter was a great stay and we will likely be back in the future.
We loved the hot tub and pool, as well as the room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean.
They appeared to be short staffed, as we were in a huge line at check in that took at least 25 minutes to get through. Also, we couldn’t check in until four because they were short on maids. The front desk attendants weren’t the nicest or the most professional.

Calm in chaotic Portland
This was my second time here. It is a nice quiet oasis in chaotic Portland. The bed was very comfy. The in room coffee was good. I also enjoyed the steam room, sauna, and hot tub. The non-alcoholic beverage choices in the café were yummy.
The bolt lock on the door is tough to turn. Maybe needs some WD-40 or something? Room service could have more food options like a salad with a protein.

Loved the woodsy scent of fir trees wafts through the cool Victorian decor. Divine coffee shop.
Grateful that the event on the evening before I left town, wrapped up at 9pm (my flight was at 7am).
Guests leave their water bottles and pizza boxes around the foyer. We pointed out one that had been left for over six hours. The pizza box had been there since around noon when we left and was still there when we returned in the evening. We pointed it out to a staff member and it was quickly whisked away.

Overall ok
Valet was a mess, not worth the $$. The rooms are decent, nothing special. The area was boring and deserted, other than a later checkout I wouldn’t say anything stands out. Windows were so dirty I couldn’t take a photo of the view.

The average experience was good
I like how clean was the hotel
I didn’t like not having a smart tv with access to streaming services. The tv was super limited. The menu at the room had the wrong time of service and I was unable to get food during part of the day. It was very frustrating. The room that I was in had an issue with the bathroom sink. The water was almost not available. Super week. Only 1 elevator working. Could have more since the place has 4 elevators in total

We won’t return as the service at the front desk was poor. Totally disinterested staff.
The pool, spa and sauna were great
Very very dark interiors. only 2 paper cups for coffee, not enough creamers,no glasses for the bathroom. The staff at the desk promised to bring more. They didn’t. Phones were not answered. service terrible at the restaurant.

Aside from the breakfast, this is a really nice hotel and in a great location
the property is in a great location. We were able to walk all over downtown and were very close to the waterfront. The property is modern and the rooms are nice. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is friendly.
The only complaint I had was, when I booked my room it stated breakfast included, and it was a little extra for that option and that was fine, but they only give you a 15 dollar per person credit, which would be fine, but almost everything on the menu is well over 15 dollars, so breakfast isn’t really included when you pay extra for the breakfast option and not many food options are offered in that price range
