Cabin sleeps 3 comfortably (we suggest a maximum of 3 adults) with a queen master bedroom and a futon. The listing doesn’t do it justice! If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway this is the place. This is the true cabin in the woods, with all the comforts you want or need. The cozy inside, the back porch with the hot tub overlooking the large meadow, fire pit and pond will insure a memorable stay that will have you planning your next trip back. Can’t wait to do it again.

The property is beautiful, the cabin was very clean and the perfect size for my wife and and to enjoy. The back deck overlooking the pond is a fantastic place to enjoy reading a book, watching the wildlife, or soaking on the hot tub. The location was more remote than I expected. The nearest gas station was 20 minutes away, but there is a Dollar General within 10 minutes. We would definitely return to this cabin.

My sister and I rented this property for our parents as a gift. They love the laid back lifestyle so we knew this would be a place they would feel right at home. They enjoyed fishing, cooking out, drinking wine, spotting wildlife including deer on the property and traveling around the area. Made me a bit jealous that I wasn't there myself. :)

We have stayed at this property many times and it never gets old. Lovely remote cabin that is well appointed and welcoming. Sitting outside in the peace and quiet is just what we need when we go there. The hosts are responsive and maintain the property well.

We have visited the cabin before and loved it. We found ourselves with a couple of days before life got really busy again and decided to check if it was open and surprisingly it was! So glad we made the trip. I rarely find a place I can totally relax but this cabin is one of those places. If you are thinking of staying here do it!!

This is now our favorite spot to stay! We’ve stayed in cabins and rentals from Springfield, IL to Grand Rivers, Ky and this beats them all! A wonderful place to relax and enjoy God’s beautiful creation! The hot tub on the back deck was the icing on the cake! The hosts had the house stocked with absolutely everything we needed. It was immaculately well maintained and clean! A beautiful cabin and property!

Amazing, as always! I was eager to book this place for the solar eclipse. This cabin has everything you need to unplug and unwind. The property is secluded enough to make you feel like you’re 1000 miles from nowhere, but close enough to visit the wineries, Paducah, or Shawnee National Forest, if you’re so inclined. We are so happy to have discovered this place years ago, and will keep coming back to make memories! The hosts are gracious and responsive.

I took my wife here for her birthday weekend & it was refreshing to unplug from the city life. We will definitely be back & enjoy the property again. We visited Metropolis & also Paduka for lunches both days we stayed. Our next visit will will probably stay at the cabin more to enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Perfect place to spend time away from everything. Loved having limited cell service/internet & just spending time “unplugged” for our anniversary weekend. Cabin was as described & is really neat!! Hosts have necessities added if needed. We didn’t leave the property during our stay … just enjoyed spending time together porch chillaxin, fishing, grilling, playing horse shoes, watching movies, hot tub, games, etc. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. Highly recommend this place for your getaway … wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This was our second stay here. My wife and I love this place. The cabin is awesome! There isn’t one thing to dislike about staying here. The seclusion is top notch. The land is incredible. We would find ourselves just sitting there looking out at the pond and rest of the property in awe like the last stay. We were even treated to seeing deer every morning. These owners have everything you’ll need in case you forget something. We couldn’t be happier with our quick getaway. We will definitely be back again! Thanks for everything!

My boyfriend and I had the BEST time staying here. The owners have gone above and beyond and have thought of every little thing you may need, from movies and games, to spices. Such a lovely cabin and property and we are already planning our next trip!

Great place to get away as a couple. It has everything you need to relax. I will come again during the summer to utilize the land and use the pond. Great for a small family to have some fun right outside the door. However there are a few things to consider that I’m only mentioning to help future buyers and the owners. 1) No internet and local cable only: if you have starlink roam or a hotspot, it’s best to bring with you. The tv is a smart tv but if there isn’t any internet for it to work. The cell service isn’t terrible as I did achieve some 5g but it’s a bit spotty. I made it work as I was only there for a few days but anything longer I’d want better internet service. 2) The lock on the gate is a bit outdated and needs updated. We went in January and the cold will freeze the lock and make it tough to open. (Just bang on it) 3) This is minor but opening and closing the gate everytime you leave is a little annoying as you have to get out of the car, open the gate, drive through, and then get out again to close it. 4) The tv is mounted too high which hurts your neck when trying to watch it. 5) The bed frame creaks when readjusting to get comfortable which can wake up whoever if sleeping with you. We will come back again. Any cons above is only minor and only mentioned to help some prep and have a better time as well as notifying the owners of some simple fixes.

We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. The weather didn't want to cooperate so we weren't able to explore as many of the hiking trails in the area, but the property it self was amazing. Quiet, remote, we saw deer one morning and the the hot tub was very relaxing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would definitely stay again

If you want seclusion and to really get away, then this is the perfect place for that. Very clean cabin with a gorgeous view. Anyone who wants to really get away from everything, then I would highly recommend this cabin.

Absolutely beautiful and serene setting! So quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed. Watching deer around the pond every morning and soaking in the hot tub every night was a dream. The cabin had everything we could have possibly needed. The owners are quick to respond with questions. We will definitely be going back!

This is the second time I have stayed here. The first with my family and this time alone as part of a sabbatical/prayer retreat. I am a pastor in central Illinois and was looking for a place to be completely alone, rest, relax and pray. This is the most perfect place I could think of. You do not need to worry in the slightest about being disturbed. The cabin is delightful and it would be hard to have a more beautiful view to wake up to each day. The pond is stocked and although I only fished a couple of hours a day, I caught fish all 6 days I was there. If you are looking for isolation and a really relaxing time this place is perfect. Unless you want a lengthy drive to a store, take all you would need with you. The appliances and utensils in the cabin are well stocked but all food items you will need to bring with you. I love this place and will return as much as time and the finances permit.
