A little oasis in very busy area

The staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. Nely even brought our printed boarding passes to our room. We requested a couple of chairs to be taken to the building terrace, and sure enough, there they were that same afternoon. The room attendant made cute animal towels for us. It was nice to come to our room and find a new piece of towel art and crisp clean sheets.

The shower head right of the cieling. Hard to keep your hair dry if you don't want to wet it.. And remove soap from the lower parts. Some mold on shower doors.

Super nice, kind and helpful staff, excellent location (take your coffee, drink it on the beach and watch the sun rise. Super close to bus terminal as well as the ferry.

The first room was a bit noisy (close to the 5th avenue bar, but they were super nice about it and changed our room. The Wi-Fi and the toilet were not super reliable, but overall fine.

2 stars for the hotel; 5 stars for Rene, night security person and cleaning staff

The hotel was less than half a block to the beach. There is a cenote within the property. The night security person, Rene, was extremely helpful, kind and informative.

When I booked my reservation (paying in full, in advance) I did not receive an introductory message from the hotel with hotel policies, parking, and surrounding area information not listed in the booking.com description. Before arriving to Playa del Carmen the night of my check in, I sent three messages at various times through booking.com asking how late I could check in since I was driving to Playa from across the peninsula. I did not receive, to date, responses to my messages. I then called the hotel 4 times at approx 7:30 pm, no answer. When I arrived to Playa at approx 10 pm, I was not aware that I could not park at or near the hotel because it’s on the beach side of 5th Ave. I drove in circles trying to find safe parking for my rental car near the hotel. I stopped at various places requesting directions. I stopped to ask people on the street about street parking rules and parking options. A security guard outside of another hotel guided me to the only 24 hour parking lot (Estacionamiento Efra) 2 1/2 blocks from Posada Sian Ka’an. All other parking lots were already closed (by 7 and 9 pm). By the time I arrived to Posada Sian Ka’an, it was almost midnight. I was extremely tired and frustrated!!! Luckily the night security person, Rene, was in the office and checked me in. He said that reception personnel leave at 7 pm and no hotel staff respond to calls after 7 pm. The booking.com description states that Sian Ka’an includes breakfast. This was not true. The security person informed me that breakfast is not provided in June. This was not stated in the hotel description. At 9:15 am on my first morning, after an extremely stressful evening, I was awoken by loud hammering on my floor, audible through my room walls. I had to call reception, making a long distance call from my cell phone to report the issue. There are no phones in the rooms. The loud hammering noise occurred again the following morning at 9:30 am.

Good location, with garden and large clean rooms

I had large room on ground floor with balcony over beautiful garden. Bed very comfortable. Room very clean. Good location on street between 5th avenue and beach.

There is a closeby club which plays loud music- didn't affect me to much but would in some rooms particularly in the older of the two buildings

Located directly in the center of Playa Del Carmen but inside the hotel area it's relatively quiet compared to all the hustle and bustle outside. Very nice garden and pool area. Breakfast is served at the terasse with garden view. No breakfast was included in our rate but the offered us one free breakfast during our stay.

Great location, lovely and helpful staff, great value and so close to the beach and Quinta Avenida. We loved it!

A bit noisy but it ended at reasonable hour nearby. We slept just fine.

I've stayed here before and like the place as it's in a great location, pretty quiet, and the room is comfy and the staff helpful.

The only shame is the wifi is weak in the room so if you need a strong connection you need to go to the breakfast area.

Excellent hotel in great and quiet location. Room was comfy and there were a few English-speaking TV channels. The staff were all friendly and Jose on reception was particularly brilliant.

It's a shame the wifi doesn't work everywhere.

Family friendly hotel very close to the beach

Amazing breakfast, spotless clean room and very friendly staff! The hotel is close to the Quinta Avenida - which is great - though it remains very quiet at night which was something we looked for traveling with a toddler. The room was spacious with comfy beds and a lovely balcony. All the staff we came across was friendly and willing to help. Special thanks to the front desk staff who gave us some nice tips to make the best of our stay in the Riviera. We’ll definitely come back again!

The only small minus was that the hotel did not have a parking lot. But you can easily park in private parking at a walking distance.

clean - awesome staff : Jose Luis welcomed me and showed me the property and facilities - He was incredible and very helpful - Carole the housekeeper was also excellent- this might be a 3 star hotel for dome but the service we got was a 5 ***** service- you feel welcomed- Everyone from the staff are eager to help out and make our stay a memorable one- Honestly I was happily surprised and so happy that I chose this hotel from the service we got, the cleanliness of the hotel and the location. thank you Jose Luis and the whole staff of Posada Sian Kaan 🙏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

A lovely hotel right in the heart of Playa

The location is perfect and most of all, the staff was super friendly and helpful :) The room was spacious and clean with a big balcony.

The only thing I didn't like was the toilet, it didn't seem to flush properly.

Overall, we loved this place. The location was great and right on the beach, very clean, helpful staff and a great little pool. Other locations that aren’t on the beach require a minimum spend to hang out on the beach, but here it was part of our resort so that wasn’t required. Great value as well, would stay here again.
