You'll feel at home in the hills nestled in this beautiful fully furnished 2 bdr 1 bath home. Renovated in 2019. Detached 2 car garage. Sit on the wrap around porch and take in all nature has to offer including a stream, deer and turkeys. Close to all attractions in the Black Hills and Rapid City. Walk to downtown with its restaurants, quaint shops and art galleries. Micolson walking trail is right behind us. Parking galore. Owners occasionally may stay in the studio behind the detached garage

House was adequate except no air conditioning in bedrooms. Paper towels were hung as curtains on front door. Discrepancies in check in times as well as door code and parking. Owner stays in apartment behind garage. 1/2 of Garage was supposed to be available for use but was full. South Dakota is beautiful.

This is a perfect place to stay while seeing the Black Hills. Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Hill City. Well furnished and clean. The owners were easy to work with. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit.

This is a nice place, tucked in by a wonderful trail and the local football field. Very quiet area and lots of wildlife. A central location for exploring both the north and south ends of the Black Hills. The house had all the amenities we needed and just enough room for a couple and a dog.

Great location, next to a nature trail, a small river stream, and the school football field/track. lots of wildlife running nearby (deer, rabbits, lots of birds). We would go for a walk on the trail and school track in the mornings. Ken, the owner, stayed onsite during our stay,was very helpful and quick to respond. Had no issues and would love to stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this property so much. We want to come back! The beds were super comfy. The weather fluctuated during our stay and it was easy to adjust the heating/cooling in accordance with the rules. It was easy to reach out to the owners when we needed help. The downtown area is truly within walking distance. And the people are genuine and kind. There are restaurants that stay open late, which helped when we came back from sight-seeing all day. Rapid City, Mt. Rushmore, and the Crazy Horse Memorial are quite close. This property had everything we needed and then some. My husband and I enjoyed everything about it.

This was a great base for our family weekend in the black hills. It was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. Stayed with my partner, our two dogs, my parents and three nieces. The sofa is a sleeper sofa that was a good spot for the kiddos to sleep. We really enjoyed the large deck and sitting peacefully outside by the flowing creek, watching the deer, butterflies and birds. Interior space was a little cramped for a group of our size but that didn’t much matter as we spent most of our time exploring the area. We were able to meet the property owners and learn more about the area and they shared their suggestions, Custer State Park is a can’t miss.

Great in town location!

If you are looking for a great location in town with some peace & quiet this place is perfect. Small creek runs behind house and our dogs loved playing in it! House was fully stocked with everything you need including all paper products, bathroom items and kitchen items! Beds were super comfy and we all slept like babies every night! Thanks Ken for a great stay!

We stayed here with my parents from Colorado. The place was very clean and quaint. It was perfect for a weekend getaway for four people. Our only regret is that we didn’t spend more time there. The owner called us to check in and that made for a very personable experience. We will definitely stay here again!

There were 4 of us staying at the house (2 couples). Everything was just as described. The bedrooms are a little small but still had queen sized beds so they were fine. It's is close to town and you can get on the Mickelson Bike trail right from the house. We were also able to get on ATV trails from the house, which we really appreciated. Lots of space to park your vehicles and toys. Everyday we had some deer visiting in the yard, which was fun. The house is in a nice area close to a brand new neighborhood. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Plenty of towels, etc. Nice picnic set on the wrap around deck which we really enjoyed. We would definitely stay there again.

Nicely furnished house in Hill City, SD. We enjoyed our stay, and the surrounding area has many attractions close by- Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Keystone, etc. The one disadvantage for our family (four adults) was that the posting indicated there was a two-car garage, when actually only one stall was available for use by renters.

Perfect place for a week! Everything I needed was here. We cooked a couple of meals and were able to relax. We came with dogs and the deck and yard were great! It was nice to sit outside in the evening when it cools off, look at the sky or watch a storm. Great location to reach the towns main street (walk or drive) and this is central to anything you want to see in the Black Hills area. Ken does a great job at communicating info and can help with area info too! I didn't want to leave and would definitively choose this again.

The home was small, but quaint. Did enjoy the deer that were always present. My only problem was that the price per day as listed on the site was changed by the owner 2 days after the agreement was accepted, and he raised the price by $50 daily . Because we had only a short period of time before our arrival, I was afraid we would forfeit the amount already taken from the credit card. So beware of changes he proposes because he was "moving " and neglected to make changes to his page.

House is set back on the property near a track, but was very quiet and we were undisturbed during our stay. Place was pretty clean, but there were areas we cleaned up when we arrived as they weren't thoroughly clean. Kitchen is stocked with plates and utensils and cooking tools, so we appreciated being able to use that space while we stayed. There are 2 rooms with queen beds and a large dining/living room space off the kitchen, plus one full bath. Location is great, a short drive from Custer Park and a little over an hour from the Badlands. Overall was a pretty nice spot to stay for 2. Owner will communicate by text on how to check in and did so well in advance of arrival making it an easy process.

It was very nice only a couple small issues, but private. We enjoy the nature and the ability to walk the trails and to town. There are many wonders off the beaten path and starting here was perfect. We enjoyed this property’s location. Deer every morning, quiet.... you could hear the small stream nearby. Was close to town for amenities, but not near the busyness of town! Right near the bike trail, which was important to us. The home was just what we needed. And Ken was very pleasant to work with. Thank you Ken for sharing with us the history of the home, and opening it up to us!!
