Fantastic Location ,very spacious ,very clean and well equipped,Two bedrooms downstairs . we only used one but it was very quiet , very comfortable bed . Nice clean and adequate bathroom with good shower .
Great coffee machine . Didn’t use ,oven, hob,or dishwasher which are provided .Wi-Fi worked well .Great welcome notes ,instructions for appliances etc.
We had great correspondence from our host Sandrine via texts about best and easiest way to get to apartment from airport and was there to give us the keys ,and show us around as soon as we arrived .
She also made it clear if there was any problem we could contact her .
Nothing that we didn’t like about the property .

The apartment is lovely and in a great spot to explore the city.
This is a stylish apartment.
It has good kitchen and bathroom facilities and copious drying space for a wash load of laundry.
The square a few paces down the road is vibrant and full of great cafés and restaurants. Very easy walk to Place de Bourges and all sights and museums. Convenient 24hr indoor parking in Place du Capuchins a few minutes walk away
Fabulous spot from which to explore Bordeaux.

the place is cozy and location is good, near the Place de St Michel, full of bars and restaurants, and it is literally 2 min walking distance from there.
TWO ISSUES:
ONE:
We had already informed the host the arrival time, it wasn't 100% yet so we at least told her between 4pm and 5:30pm, and she was now available. I don't know how can a host not be available for the clients... but in the end we managed not to wait long. but if people are traveling to come to your house, the last thing they would like is to wait outside while you are not available, especially after hours of travel.
TWO:
I mean listen, I will admit that I did not read a message that the host sent me about a down payment, because on that day I was celebrating my brother's wedding (forgive me). but even if I had nothing and I still did not read it, if I call you to understand why I had to pay 400 Euros, I would never image to receive an attitude and rude words about it.
She kept telling me it was my fault and that she mentioned it, but I wasn't even blaming her, I simply called to understand why would someone pay a deposit AFTER THEY PAY AND BOOK. she kept answering me that it is what it is and this is how things are whether for 1 night or 7! very rude. and I found myself losing my temper which is a highly unnecessary position to put a client in. especially when they will later on put a review, and on SOCIAL MEDIA.
in general:
the place: very nice
attitude: not nice (even if she ended up apologizing, only after I apologized which is even more strange)
Be kinder to people please and they will not only come back, but tell their friends about your place.
There was no reason for any rude attitude.

Nicely decorated and clean place, good size for 4 people (2 couples). Bedrooms are downstairs so no noise coming from the street. Good location for walking to the centre of Bordeaux with loads of cafes and restaurants around.
It would be nice to have a little bit better equipped kitchen - there were no sharp knives and no small cooking essentials (salt, pepper). There is dishwasher and wash machine, but you would need to buy your own tablets. The coffee maker is Nespresso, and only these capsules can be used. We have been provided 6 capsules only - it would be nice to have a bit more capsules for 5 night stay for 4 people. From my experience staying in places for short-term rentals, these are provided for better customer experience.
The beds are OK, but a soft mattress so this depends on your preference.

Nicely decorated, well situated, pretty decent value other than the 400 euro damage deposit which the host is then able to apply completely at their will and discretion no matter how unreasonable.
The host processed a ridiculously high additional 100 euro charge for "damages". There were two things that happened, which I told the host about right away and didn't try to hide anything. 1/ There was a fragile decoration (like a charm with tassels and something like a thin stone or shell) hanging from the bathroom door. The bathroom door sticks a bit on the bottom against the frame, which made the charm swing out then back, the stone or shell broke when it swung back against the door frame. Such a fragile thing should not be hung from a door handle to begin with if it is important to them for it not to break, let alone a door that is sticking on the frame. 2/ The hand shower head bracket (used to hold the shower head to the adjustable position bar) didn't work at all upon arrival, you had to hold the shower head by hand. In attempting to tighten it, the bracket broke. I disclosed both problems right away to the host. In my view it's debatable if I should be responsible for either due to the circumstances, and a case could also be made that these are normal wear and tear things as opposed to irresponsible damage. My friends and I were extremely careful with the flat and left it in great condition. The host processed a 100 euro charge for these two items, which I unsuccessfully contested with the host through a series of messages. I believe most hosts would not hold the guest responsible for these things (the shower bracket didn't work properly to begin with after all, for example). Despite that, I would have been ok to compensate the owner some amount but not 100 euro, which is ridiculous, the door charm probably costs 5 euro and the shower head bracket can be replaced for as little as 10 euro by anyone without the need for a plumber. The host claimed they needed to replace the entire shower fixture, call a plumber, and stop renting the apartment for the repair, which is completely ridiculous.

Because the bedrooms were downstairs without any windows, they were very quiet and the beds were comfortable, so we slept well. We needed a washing machine so that was great, only it would have been helpful if detergent were provided. The neighborhood is very mixed, which is part of its charm. Lots of outdoor cafes nearby.
Very busy street and it was really hard to find a place to park and unload. The apartment is on the ground floor, so you end up keeping the curtains closed so it feels rather enclosed. As others have mentioned, the downstairs has no windows (the photos are deceiving) and smells rather moldy. The bathroom is upstairs, so a little inconvenient in the middle of the night.

The location is really great and the living-and kitchen area is very comfortable and clean. The host was very kind and supportive and reacted quickly on our inquiries.
The 2 sleeping rooms are in the basement had a little bit of the typical basement smell...

To rooms/bedrooms are in the cellar. But cute.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
The bedrooms are downstairs but the bathroom is on the main floor. Maybe just a problem for older folks!
The area around is ok but just outside the main tourist area.

Good space, right in center of Bordeaux.
I didn’t like that we couldn’t arrange picking up the key at any hour and needed to coordinate it with the owner. The owner’s communication good communication but our timing for pick up was off. Think it’s time to go back cack to a hotel with 24 hour staff.

Fantastic location
Great food and drink location all within walking distance
Air Con would be an advantage
