An very central and secure base with excellent views while visiting Bordeeaux

Location was excellent with amazing river views. The flat was very spacious and both bedrooms had separate bathrooms, one was ensuite. It was easy to keep in contact with the person meeting us when our arrival was slightly delayed as we had already set up a WhatsApp link.

The biggest problem was setting up the deposit for the property on the Swikly platform they use. Various credit cards were declined apparently because the level of security on this platform was not up to the standard some of the UK banks require to authorise the payment. However I eventually found a card that was accepted. To be fair it is only set up to deal with a problem. However there was a service fee of €9.30 charged to set up the deposit.

Air conditioning did not work and there was no intention to fix this. Very disappointing.

Air conditioning did not work, the host was clearly aware that it was broken but gave us a cock and bull story that it had temporarily tripped the morning that we arrived, she tried to re-set this when we were given access to the apartment and she couldn't get away quick enough clearly knowing it would not work, which of course it did not. Our investigation into the error messages showing on the controls indicated a fundamental fault that required an engineer call out. On complaint, we were told that that they would send an engineer '2 days after we were due to check out' and our request for fans were completely ignored! For an Apartment advertised as 'with air conditioning' and in 38 degree temperatures this is unacceptable and spoilt the enjoyment of what is otherwise a lovely apartment.

Most enjoyable ! Certainly a very central location which is perfect for a short stay.

Great location. Lovely views. High spec. Very comfortable. Very spacious. Felt secure.

A little noisy at night when the bins were collected and some loud revellers/motor bikes also woke us up every night, but it is still a great location in a lovely city.

Beautiful apartment, but inconvenient service

The apartment is spacious and beautifully designed.

However, we encountered several inconveniences during our stay. One of the inconveniences was the absence of a reception area, which meant there was no luggage service available. We were unable to store our luggage in advance or after check-out. Additionally, we had to arrange an appointment in advance for check-in, which was quite inconvenient for us. When we contacted the coordinator to schedule our check-in, we were informed that she would be off during our travel period. The second person we reached out to didn’t respond until the morning of our arrival. Moreover, he texted us to change the meeting time just an hour before the previously confirmed time on that same morning. As a result, we ended up waiting in front of the apartment door for 40 minutes. During our stay, we were provided with a website for information. However, most of the information on the website was in French, except for the first page. Lastly, the website mentioned that we needed to clean the dishes and take out the trash, despite having paid a cleaning fee of 70 euro along with a 48 euro for bed linen per stay. These additional fees should be taken into consideration when booking the room.

a perfect place for a stay in Bordeaux!

the location amazing - the flat is beautiful decorated and large and airy, it really has beautiful views too! all the rooms are a great size too.

make sure you book an early check in way ahead as they didn't seem get our message on time, and air con didn't work for the whole trip

Amazing and stunning Appartment

amazing decor, in a lovely old building Stunning views over the river and Place de la Bourse big rooms, high standard of fittings Great kitchen 2 living rooms Lift in the building lovely little balcony for breakfast sitting high ceilings Great and friendly service from rental lady, quick whatsapp answer if needed but no real need, except to check in and out

the SwiftKey deposit app was a bit weird, and was worried deposit wouldn't get paid back, but it was fine, just there was no email to say all was good and deposit paid back...maybe its just blocked on card, and no need to tell you if nothing is taken

Ok great location, nicely designed but hard work if you don't speak great French.

The property was in an amazing location right in the centre of everything. It was lovely and big and nicely designed. It had a lift which was such a bonus for a period apartment. It was nicely appointed.

The double bed was so hard that I had to lay the duvet on top to get any comfort. The shower in the bedroom is dated in style there is just no privacy. I had arranged to have an early check in this was then changed at the last minute which was poor, we did get in early in the end but it was poor communication between the management company and the lady managing the cleaning at the keys and she said no. Ultimately we turned up anyway and she cleaned very fast so handed the keys over. Also the number of communications I got from the managing company was ridiculous and they were all in French all the instructions for the apartment where in French which was useless, it didn't allow for the language to be changed on the app. I rang and spoke to someone and they just resent me the deposit link which was already in English but didn't help with the other instructions. Also the management company didn't answer any emails I sent them about 3 before having to call.

Fabulous apartment, great interior, karine who met us was fabulous and friendly. Secure accommodation in brilliant location.

Local map/info would be useful but tourist information office is quite close.

Stayed here for a friends wedding, amazing location, stunning property!

Only thing I would add as a negative is that there is no disabled access to the apartment and it is tricky getting up some of the first few stairs with a pram but I’m being super picky the place is amazing

Lovely apartment, the host was really helpful. Bordeaux is a beautiful city and has loads to explore

The apartment is really lovely and the location was excellent - very central, and very close to tram and bus stations. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and a great bakery downstairs. Nice little balcony overlooking the river.

The beds were uncomfortable. The wifi was barely adequate. We needed to work whilst in the apartment and needed a good wifi connection. I had asked at the time of booking if the wifi was good and had been reassured that it was fine but it was not possible to do video calls and the download speeds were incredibly slow.

Great place that we would use again when it is not too hot.

The property was in a great location and very spacious. The facilities were comprehensive and had everything we needed. The property also provided a key card to enable free parking in the adjacent public underground car park.

We had difficulty contacting the person who was to meet us to let us into the property and there was not really a suitable place to wait outside. The air conditioning in the property was not sufficient to manage the high temperatures that were being experienced at the time and opening the windows meant considerable noise from outside traffic.

We really enjoyed our stay at 2 Rue Lafyette. The location was amazing. Apartment very nice.

The property was in an excellent location, very central overlooking the mirror and the river. Stunning views from every window at the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious with all the facilities you could need.

Because the property was in a very central location it also meant it was very noisy which didn't matter in the day, but at night it was not so good.

Exceptional

The location was fantastic. View was superb. Lots of cafes and restaurants around the area. Tram stop was very near to the apartment. Apartment was very big with 2 huge bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge living and dining plus kitchen to boot. Karine, who manage the apartment, was an extremely huge help during our stay.

Just take note there is a flight of steps from the entrance to the elevator. There might be a little traffic noises but it was pretty quiet with the windows closed.
