HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - STAY AWAY

This is my first negative review ever but I feel that I really need to warn everyone as I am still shocked and traumatized from the experience almost three months later after having booked two nights there. I should have been warned by all the other bad reviews with staff being described as „..from hell“ and as the „absolute worst person“ they ever had to deal with, „..will never visit again“, „..rather sleep on the street“ and „..very unclean and unhygienic“ and lots of other very bad reviews but unfortunately I only read those later. To make a long story short because there is not enough space here: what happened is that the employee of the Hotel did NOT let me check in, meaning that I was unable to actually stay at the Hotel but yet the hotel is still charging me to this day for a stay I was denied. The very rude front desk employee who seems to be also one of the managers told me that he would resend me a link to check in but then let me wait for a long time without resending it. I have several witnesses for this. It was clear that he was abusing his power over me in terms of wanting to let me wait on purpose. What proofs this is that when there was no one else at the entrance (this „hotel“ does not have a lobby) and only one man entered the building, he immediately switched to him and let me wait again even though this man made it clear to him that he should finish helping me first and yet he still did not do it. And there are other reviews also stating that „..online check in process was glitches and didn’t work“. I felt that this employee discriminated against me based on my gender and because I am an assertive woman who knows her rights. I have witnesses, among them a guest of the Hotel, who can testify how I was mistreated and that I was denied check in for no reason.

After waiting in the cold for hours, the employee told me that he would go ahead and cancel my reservation after I asked him again when I would finally be able to check in because I already had to cancel a very important appointment that day long after check-in time because he kept me waiting. After being told by the employee that he will go ahead and cancel my reservation I booked another hotel but now Parc Avenue Residences still makes me pay for a stay I never had and was denied check in! I then had to wait an hour in the cold again because there was no taxi in this area which is far from downtown. Moreover they are writing me threatening messages to not talk about my experiences in public and trying to intimidate me. I have read other reviews stating exactly the same intimidations so I assume that this is their tactic to try to silence people. I also met another person while standing outside for hours in the cold that day who was also unable to check in. I’m a doctor and award winning film producer. I have never ever been denied check-in in any Hotel in the entire world. I am writing this because I am sure that they will try to insinuate that I was unfriendly but their own camera footage that I asked them to safe will proof that I was acting correctly the entire time. Staff at every Hotel I have ever stayed at will to confirm that I have always been a very polite and pleasant guest. As I haven’t been refunded my money until now I will have to take legal actions against Parc Avenue Residences. They obviously know that people from abroad are less likely able to take legal action and go to court against them but if I don’t receive my money back I will pursue it legally, also to stop them from doing this to more people. In summary this was the worst experience ever! Stay away if you don’t want to end up being traumatized and denied check in and still have to pay for a stay you never got access to!

J’ai le goût d’y retourner!

C’est un hébergement parfait pour notre famille qui compte 2 parents et 5 enfants. C’est tres beau et confortable.

L’accès à notre chambre a été difficile mais ce sont des circonstances particulières, nous sommes arrivés au milieu de la nuit et je n’avais pas reçu les liens pour la préautorisation et l’authentification puisque j’étais à l’extérieur du pays. La personne à qui j’ai parlé au téléphone ne parlais qu’anglais et moi non. Par contre, quand nous avons communiqué par texto, les réponses étaient rapides et claires.

La terrasse sur le toit avec spa malgré qu’il Manquait d’eau

Les lits ! Les sofa , les lits était des lits simple coller par deux et Pas confortable et au matin tout le monde s’est levée avec un mal de gorge ! L’air n’était pas bonne et pas d’aération , drôle d’endroit

Customer service was perfect, very user friendly with the door codes access. Overall it was a good emplacement to stay

Disappointing

We were given keys to a dirty room. Went down to complain about the room.the receptionist gave a new room. We checked into new room and went down for dinner. We get back a few hours later and someone else is in our room and are bags are gone. Are stuff was moved out of the room to another building without informing us. Breech of privacy. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I was with my kids and 2 elderly Aunts.

The jewish neighborhood

sofa bed awful stains on cover, behind along the baseboards. Mattress so worn out. No bedding as ordered on arrival. Laundry/towels were in the dryer. Dishes were in the dishwasher. Bthrm sink no plug and stunk like sewer. One remote for 2 AC units on 2 diff floors. Heard people running up and down stairs till 2:30am. Were not told there were no elevators. Older ppl carrying our heavy bags up 5 flights of stairs was brutal. Carpet stains on the stairs to the suits were god awful.

The loose bunk bed, only one AC for the entire unit located in the living room ...it was very hot in the bedrooms at night.

Beautiful place but lacking In attention to detail and interest in customers.

Good location. Very chic and elegant decor. Clean. Terrasse with table and chairs.

I didn’t like the online checkin system and the difficulty of contacting the company. The kitchen lacked some basic things, such as towels, sponges, and soap. The coffee situation was not good. There was a Keurig coffee maker but almost no coffee pods, no sugar at all, and only powdered coffeemate for cream. When we went to the front desk and asked if they had any more coffee pods, the desk clerk was not particularly interested. He said that he would look and would bring some if there were any. We never heard back. He was equally unhelpful when we asked him about area restaurants.

It tried hard to be a 5 star but really only achieved 3,

Good location close to bars and restaurants Outside terrace and roof terrace where very nice, we used the hot tub a lot

The decor was old and a little run down Carpets in public areas were stained and smelled damp The area to the rear of the property where we had to put rubbish was rat infested and smelled very bad The sound proofing between apartments was no existent, we lost a nights sleep with a party in the next room

Not Recommended

I didn't like anything.

The place was very unsafe, the main door didn't lock. It was very unclean and unhygienic. The rooms, sofa, and the sheets were very dirty. You could hear every word spoken in the surrounding rooms. It was very tiny and the main bedroom had no space to move around. There was no elevator, only a small steep winding staircase. The staff at the front desk were very rude. We also overheard people being waived of their cost of stay to avoid them leaving a poor review. The view from the apartment was an alleyway filled with trash bags and rubbish. After booking, they provided strange rules about keeping the sound down, monitored by sound monitors for which penalty payments would be charged, even though it was very loud at night with many people chatting and hanging out in the surrounding apartments.

This property was VERY dirty, it is not kept up, the second bathroom shower was spraying everywhere and the grouting on the tile was gone so water was leaking down the stairs. The sheets had stains on them, the couch and surrounding chairs all had stains on them. The caulking and grout is all coming out of the tiles in both bathrooms. Towels were stained. It served the purpose of what we needed but wouldn’t recommend if you can find another property.
