The ground floor apartment is ideal for couples or two families as it has two spacious double bedrooms, a large open plan lounge with travertine marble tiled bathroom and modern fitted kitchen, a large pergola and a covered veranda with quality dining seating and sun loungers.
This apartment is approximately 120m2. The entrance is through double French doors from the veranda to the large open plan contemporary kitchen with dining area, the lounge area has two large comfortable sofas which can convert to double beds and an efficient pellet stove for use in winter. Bose iPod sound station. Doors to two spacious bedrooms and luxury bathroom with separate shower, bidet and WC, complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Door to utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board etc. All bedrooms are furnished with simplicity and taste with the finest quality Egyptian cotton sheets with silk filled throws. The garden area has a driveway & fruit trees with additional hot/cold garden shower.
The villa is just a short drive (less than 4 minutes) to our wonderful beaches at Briatico. Most have free parking and offer excellent beach service for drinks or lunch. There are also 5 beach restaurants & many smaller beach bars serving chilled drinks, beer, ice creams etc. You can also hire sunbeds if required. Most of our beaches also have a beach shower.

Villa Bergamotto is situated only a few minutes from Briatico which is a friendly market town with family owned shops & cafes offering fresh local produce, there is also a large supermarket.
Ideally situated centrally between the two wonderful medieval towns of Tropea and Pizzo & Vibo marina both of which are only 10 -15 minutes away.
There are many local beaches, all being less crowded than the beaches at Tropea & having soft sandy beach with crystal blue sea. The nearest beach is less than 1km away from the Villa and benefits from having quality beachside restaurants offering fresh home cooked cuisine with wonderful views over the bay, they are also open all year round. The beach has a raft of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, pedalo and canoe boats, sunbed hire is also available but not compulsory. Part of the beach has a very safe naturally shallow children’s bathing area.

The apartment is very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Location is perfect for exploring the whole Calabria region. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. Outdoor areas are enjoyable.

Abbiamo alloggiato presso Villa Bergamotto per 18 notti, un periodo sufficientemente lungo che ci ha permesso di sfruttare e apprezzare appieno tutto quanto questa sistemazione ha da offrire. La casa è attrezzatissima, c'è veramente di tutto e di più, l'unico punto negativo, se proprio vogliamo trovarne uno è la mancanza della lavastoviglie, ma è un dettaglio veramente trascurabile. La casa è pulita, spaziosa, arredata con gusto. La zona è comoda e tranquilla, i proprietari sono persone squisite così come chi gestisce arrivi e partenze in loro assenza. Consiglio a tutti un soggiorno in questa struttura. Noi eravamo in cinque, due adulti con tre bambini.

The apartment we was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were maticulously well kept.
The views of the hillsides and sea are breath taking. The apartment was completley stocked with all the basic needs for a short stay. There was not a single light bulb or appliance that did not work, everything was in perfect working order. The owners Nigel and his wife Mandy are great people and full of accurate knowldege of the Calabrian area. We liked our stay so much we are already planning to come back next year!!! The location is perfect close enough to all the main attractions, but set in a quite country setting perfect to relax in. Congratulations to Nigel and Mandy for a job well done. You will not be disapointed if you choose to stay at Villa Bergamotto !!!!!!!

GREAT LOCATION - breath taking views!!
We had a wonderful week in the first floor apartment at Villa Bergamotto. It was spotlessly clean, & had everything we needed for a perfect restful holiday. We spent most days on the local beach at Buccarelli (5 mins away) and ate on the terrace most evenings whilst watching the beautiful sunset.
Thank you Nigel for all the help and information - very well organised!

Wow what a find this lovely property ideally situated and with all amenities close to hand
Our stay was wonderful the local beaches are only a few minutes away ,Tropea is only a short distance from here. The Orrins are so helpful and knowledgeable of the area which really added to the experience of our stay .
The accommodation was better than we had hoped the outside area was so relaxing and a fantastic base for our holiday We will come back as there is so much to see ,we particularly liked the ever changing view from the terrace and spent quite a few evenings just watching the sun go down ,with a glass of the local wine of course.
And finally only a few minutes away the local shopkeeper was so helpful with all of your shopping needs traditional shopping with traditional values .

Beautiful summer home – highly recommended
We are family with 3 adults and two kids ( 3 and 7 years old ) spent here 2 weeks at the end of august.
The house was large, luxury, clean and tastefully decorated. Beds were very comfortable and light/noise isolation is perfect.
Bathroom is huge and douche cabin is just excellent .
Kitchen is fully equipped with all you need. Terrace and dining place outside was our favorite.
The house location seems quite isolated from everything, but actually is very close to everything you need. Great fine sandy beach is within very short driving ( 5 min. ) distance as well as supermarket.
Within 15 min we could daily reach beautiful cities of Pizzo and Tropea. Coastal road to both cities is very beautiful and easy to drive.
There are many other nice beaches within short driving distance.
Calabria region is not as touristic as other parts of Italy , authentic and we enjoyed this so much ! Food, nature and peoples mentality !
During our holidays we had a chance to meet Nigel and Mandy in person and they made their best to make sure we will have unforgettable time. Very kind, hospital and positive people with hart full of love to Italian culture.
Overall this property is highly recommended for family holidays and as well as for anyone who want to explore Calabria.

Superb vacation at Villa Bergamoto
We had a wonderful vacation in Calabria at Villa Bergamotto!
The apartment has high standards, and you will find everything you need.
Even beach equipment, toys, dvd´s and much more....
The location up the hill is not far to the beaches, easy to reach by car form the main road.
Briatico is a small town with shops, beaches, pharmacy and much more, especially very friendly people.
Nigel and Mandy were very helpful in every kind, prepared cakes and sparkling wine as well at our arriving.
Tropea and Pizzo are not far and beautiful cities.
The beaches around Briatico are wonderful, doesn't matter where you go
For our next time in Calabria we would like to stay again at this wonderful place.

Wunderschöne Wohnung in der es an nichts fehlt
Wir haben eine Woche in der Gegend um Pizzo verbracht und hatten leider Pech mit unserem ersten Appartement. Daher haben wir Nigel und Amanda kontaktiert, nachdem wir die Bilder ihres wundervollen Ferienhauses gesehen hatten. Die beiden haben sofort ragiert und es ermöglicht, dass wir noch am gleichen Tag umziehen konnten, das hat unsern Urlaub gerettet.
Auch konnten wir Nigel und Amanda persönlich kennen lernen, da sie einem Tag später in demm oberen Appartement eingezogen sind. Supernette, imteressante Menschen, denen das Wohl Ihrer Gäste ehrlich gemeint am Herzen liegt. Die Wohnungsübergabe erfolgte durch Francesca, die neben Italienisch auch fließend Deutsch und Englisch spricht.
Es kommt sehr selten vo, dass man eine Ferienwohnung betritt und denkt, ungefähr so würde man es auch selbst einrichten. Dies war eine dieser seltenen Begebenheeiten. Die Wohnung ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, man hat alles was man braucht und noch mehr. In der Garage steht allerhand Strandzubehör zur Verfügung, sogar einige DVDs in mehreren Sprachen, einige Gesellschaftsspiele sind vorhanden und die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Hier fühlt man sich rundum wohl. Wenn man dann noch das Vergnügen hat, mit Nigel und Mandy einen Prossecco trinken zu können ist der Aufenthalt perfekt.

Sehr schöne Villa mit allem was man benötigt
Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll und funktionell eingerichtet. Bei der Ausstattung fehlt es an fast nichts, über Babybett, Kinderstuhl, Kamin, Bose-Anlage... Das einzige was wir mit 3 Kindern vermisst haben ist der Stöpsel für die Badewanne nach einem Strandtag.
Der nur kurze Kontakt mit den Vermietern war sehr nett und Francesca, die das Haus managt, ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns einen sehr schönen Bauernhof als Ausflugsziel in der Nähe mit den Kindern empfohlen.
Das Haus liegt außerorts an einer wenig befahrenen Straße, von der man bei geschlossenen Fenstern nichts hört. Ein Mietwagen ist obligat. Die nächsten Strände sind nur 5 Autominuten entfernt, waren aber außerhalb der Saison nicht gut gepflegt. Innerhalb von 20-40 Minuten erreicht man aber auch Ende Oktober sehr saubere Straumstrände bei Capo Vaticano.
Insgesamt ist das Haus sehr weiterzuempfehlen.

Highly Recommended, high quality - great location
We had a great time staying at Villa Bergamotto. The villa is fitted out to a really high standard with everything that you would need. Local beaches are beautiful and we found Tropea to have an adundance of great restaurants and the sunsets are stunning. Pizzo also has a great feel to it - true Italy, It's great to sit in the square and watch the world go by ( whilst eating the tastiest ice creams ever ). I'm not usually driven to recommend to others but on this occasion I feel compelled to share - my wife and I had a fantastic holiday and will most certainly return to Villa Bergamotto at our first opportunity.

Sehr schön
Wir hatten das Appartement im Erdgeschoss febucht. Es ist sehr schön, luxuriös und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einen sehr schönen Urlaub verlebt. Sollten wir noch einmal nach Kalabrien reisen, werden wir die Villla Bergamotto wieder buchen.

Fantastic Location and Villa
I don't normally write reviews but I enjoyed this holiday so much I thought it unfair not to!
My wife and I stayed in the ground was apartment in the middle of September and we had a fantastic time.
Nigel the owner was super fast and detailed with his correspondence, Francesca the housekeeper had no problem meeting us on arrival late in the evening to give us the keys and show us around.
The accommodation is very spacious, extremely clean, well maintained, it is homely yet modern, the bed was also very comfortable.
The location was perfect, beautiful quiet beaches and restaurants are less than 5 minutes away, & free parking almost on the beach! the sea was very warm and as clear as glass.
We have never been back to the same accommodation twice, but we have already reserved for next year, that tells you how good this holiday was for us.
Highly recommended.

Sehr gut eingerichtete moderne Wohnung
Die Obergeschosswohnung lässt es an nichts fehlen und die Terrasse ist riesig mit tollen Blick, Sitzgruppe, Esstisch mit Schirm, Liegen und Gasgrill. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten erreicht und auch im August nicht so voll wie andernswo. Für alle Fragen stand Francesca helfend bereit. Eine optimale Betreuung. Leider eine Stern Abzug für die Durchgangsstraße, die direkt am Haus verläuft, den Hahn auf der Rückseite, der morgens um 4 mit dem krähen beginnt und die Baustelle des Nachbarns.

Beautiful home it had absolutely everything in you only need take your clothes ...spotlessly clean the house keeper was very helpful ....and if you are lucky enough to spend your holidays here read the details of what nigel has wrote about the restaurants and beaches best places to eat or go he has taken a lot of time to look into all of this you will not be disapointed we had a lovely holiday and found everything around the area following instructions on the sheet downloaded from email sent to us.... well worth a visit we will definatley tell our friends very well recomended we stayed for 11 nights had a fab time..... will definately return one day ... great home ..great place to visit .

Great vacation villa
We had a great vacation at the wonderful villa apartment of Mandy and Nigel. The apartment offers you all the luxury you need to have a fantastic vaction. The owners thought of everything. The place is ultra clean and is beautiful decorated. Our first impression when we entered was -"here we could live" so nice it was. . We also had the pleasure to meet the owners and we only can say that they are lovely correct people. They surprised us also at our arrival with a bottle of Prosecco and cookies. Just like in a fancy hotel. I only can say if we go back to this region we certainly want to rent the same apartment again. Mandy and Nigel thank you to let us have a great vaction

Stylish and luxurious, a perfect location.
We had a wonderful time during our visit at this outstanding apartment.
The villa apartment was extremely clean and well stocked for all your needs. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations in peaceful quiet surroundings this is the perfect location. The beaches nearby are quiet and have free parking, we have stayed in Calabria many times, but Villa Bergamotto was definitely the nicest & most stylish apartment in a lovely area.

VILLA BERGAMOTTO - FANTASTICO !!!
We recently spent two wonderful weeks at Villa Bergamotto
When not at the beach, we were spending time on the terrace enjoying the view and a chilled glass of Prosecco that they kindly left for us.
The apartment has everything (amenities, cooking utensils, laundry room, DVD's games & A/C, etc.) . Lovely soft cotton bed linen and comfy beds.
The beaches at Briatico (less than 5 mins drive) are beautiful soft sand and crystal clear water, and not crowded like Tropea. We had some lovely fresh fish lunches and enjoyed dinner watching the sunset at Perla deal Golfo on the local beach.
Nigel was incredibly helpful and accommodating host, provided a very thorough overview of the area in the rental materials. Of his recommendations, we frequented the local fresh fish store, roadside fresh fruit and veg shops and the weekly market. We found that the fish store had the best selection of fresh fish at 9am and 7pm.. Also, having Francesca, the warm and lovely housekeeper, spoke perfect english and was always on hand if we needed anything.
We hope to come back again.
