Located in Florida, this attractive bed and breakfast for $163 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Bottom floor guest house offering two bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen and living room. Master features Queen bed, guest bedroom offers two twin beds. Living room has comfy couch with flat screen television. Kitchen with double sink, smooth service stove, built in microwave and fridge. Dining area offers eclectic décor with menus from around the world. Enjoy the dock and boat ramp, fire pit, 2 kayaks, 2 bicycles, smoker and grill. Walking distance to Back Water Fins, grill and bar. Sit on the porch and read a book or cast a line. Watch the dolphins and otters cruise by! Beautiful sunrises! Perfect for a weekend get-a-way or scalloping, or snowbirds! Hot tub is available for adults only. No children allowed in hot tub. Come for a weekend or stay for a while. We are off the beaten path and a rare find anymore in Florida. Just the 5 mile drive down Ozello Trail is something to see. Kingfishers, Egrets, Eagles, Heron's and so many more native birds can be seen on just the drive down! It's old Florida living, the way it used to be. There is no washer and dryer but the laundry mat is only right up the road. We don't want you doing laundry while your here! Take it home with you and enjoy the stay. Enjoy one of the many tiki huts. Play your music, watch a football game. Bring a cooler of beer and sit on the dock or walk next door and enjoy lunch or fresh shrimp or blue crab locally caught! We look forward to seeing you soon. Upstairs is not included in rental as owners live upstairs.

This was such a cute property!! We really enjoyed our stay, and there was a peacock on property!! Even though the owners live upstairs, we never heard them. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. We booked it through the vrbo app and there have been many glitches within the app’s messaging feature. We were sad to find that the hot tub was not functioning upon arrival and it was not listed in the properties description, however, Kathi stated she did disclose that to us through the messaging feature that I have still yet to use as it displays an error message every time I try. We were the first to stay after all the upgrades after a hurricane hit and flooded their place. The renovations were great and the place was adorable!! There were only a few small things I would improve upon. It would have been great to have more towels. We were two ladies with tons of hair so after one shower and hair dry, our towels were gone and their is no place to hang them to dry. I brought my own coffee, but I did not buy filters. Most places I’ve rented before had some so this could have been my fault as well. There is only one ac window unit so if you need it ice cold to sleep at night, the room I used had a fan but I was still warm at times ( I’m over 40). There are no beside tables in either room, so nowhere to plug in your phone and keep anything by the bed. And there are cigarette butts on the ground outside the room. If youre a non-smoker that’s not so fun to step on if you’re barefoot having coffee by the beautiful waterfront. It may not bother most. I think the property is gorgeous! Great food at Backwater fin within walking distance!!

Fantastic property in great location ! Was looking forward to having a drink with owners . Unfortunately they weren’t around . Great communication on check in . Kids love the fishing and watching the mullet fish jump in river ! I had a great time hanging at tiki Bar listening to music and watching the ballgame . Peacock loved hanging with my oldest son ! I will be back .

The house has not been updated and is showing wear . The owners actually live upstairs which was not disclosed upfront. They were polite and friendly but it dampens the mood.

This property is in such a beautiful setting and has soo much to offer. We used the kayaks one morning and turned the corner in the River to see two dolphins. We also enjoyed fishing off the dock with provided poles and just relaxing under the Tiki Hut. Peacock and aviary were cool and the hosts invited us to watch hockey with them and we had a great time with lots of laughs.

House was clean and had everything we needed. Great view of the canal from the backyard. Plenty to do in the area. Backyard Fins Bar & Restaurant was just a few minute walk away. We spent most of our time at the property. There is so much to see and being able to relax by the water was just what we were looking for. The cats and the peacock were an added bonus. And the birds in the aviary were nice to listen too. Definitely recommend making this a destination. We plan to come back.

But it did not deter our enjoyment of the location, because we spent all our time right on the water when we were there - making a fire pit, on the little dock, or kayaking/canoeing, and all of that was absolutely fabulous! I'd highly recommend this place for sure <3

We couldn't really enjoy all that can be enjoyed on the property since we had a cold snap. My husband fished from the pier and we dined at Old Peck Cove and Backfin. Old Peck was excellent. Backfin was good but not great. At Kathy's suggestion we visited the Homassasa Wildlife State Park. It's great!!!!

Right on the water, it was very quiet. We didn't use the kayaks or bikes. You are on mile marker 6 and the end of the trail is MM9, so riding a bike to the end on the trail road might be hazardous, we drove. We did not bring a GPS device so did not want to go out into the mangrove islands and get lost. The inside of the house was clean and furnished well, plenty of places to sit. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some, the water even tasted good. The only problem we had was the bed was very firm. The house could use some TLC. The pocket door latches were installed upside down and some simple things like that. Overall I would stay there again. Jay

My family of 4 have stayed in dozens of rental units and this property and experience is our #1 favorite of all! The host was great and the uniqueness of the property is second to none. Fish right off the dock, build a fire, relax in the hot tub, eat at the restaurant right next door, or just hang out by the outdoor bar. We will be visiting again and would recommend this place to any and everyone!

Had a great time! Everything was as advertised, clean and we had all we needed. Nice view of water and enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine in the afternoons. Great restaurant next door! We were on the go so unfortunately we didn’t make use of the kayaks. We did enjoy the hot tub one rainy night! It is a little ways out but we knew that going in so wasn’t a problem. Very quiet and relaxing. Host was helpful and easy to contact with any questions.

A beautiful quiet location right on the water. A birders paradise! Great Blue Heron, Lesser Blue Heron, Osprey, Pelicans, hawks, etc. Well furnished apt with everything you’ll need. Hosts are great, they give you your space but are available if you need something. They were very compassionate with us as we dealt with a family emergency. So glad we stayed here and not in town. Be sure to follow the Ozello Trail (road) to the end. Beautiful drive!

This cottage, inside and out, is absolutely beautiful. It's tucked away but close to things to do and see. We could have stayed there forever. If you are looking for a getaway this is definitely the place to be. From the hot tub to the house to the view it's just perfect.

We loved the area. Great stopping point before heading farther south. Loved sitting by the river watching the birds. Also the local peacock was entertaining. Our dog was amazed by it. He is used to being around water so he could wander the fenced in property fine. Ate at Backwater Fins and Pecks Old Fort Cove. Both excellent. John and Kathi were great hosts.

Had a wonderful time! House was absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun fishing off the dock and kayaking. My 13 year old loved all the birds,the peacock and a sweet orange and white cat on the property. We ordered in dinner from Backfins which was right next door and it was amazing!! This house did not disappoint. Loved the property from the time we arrived for our Girls Weekend. The tiki bar was set up with 2 TVs so we got to watch our gator game. The house is right on the water set with kayaks for all to go and explore the water. The inside was so cute. Loved all the menus from all
different places. We were surprised by the head that popped up when we went back outside. The peacock was so pretty and not scared of us at all. The three cats were a nice touch. Two out of three seeked us out and loved being petted. Ozello itself was so nice. Just the right size for exploring. Great restaurants and Blackfin is right around the corner from the house. Nicole was the best bartender and knows the oweners of the house. You must try the blue crab bisque. It was delicious. The hot tub was a perfect touch. My favorite part was the mornings and sitting outside by the water, enjoying my coffee and the peacefulness. Highly recommend!

Perfect tiki hut hangout
This place is perfect for that old Florida feel and look. The tiki hut is amazing! My kids loved the birds, the cats, the fishing, the kayaks, the TV outside 😀. My husband didn't like the peacock he said bird pooped all over, (I loved the peacock, the kids loved the peacock).

Local retreat
We really enjoyed our too short stay in Citrus Country. This is definitely off the beaten path. It is out in the marshes. The decorations in and out are interesting and add to the stay. We walked to the nearby restaurant and enjoyed eating some place where we were the only tourists. The food was good too. Our time was too short but we would definitely go back.
