The property is right on Lake Michigan and has stunning views out every window. Came equipped with everything we needed and was very comfy. Will definitely stay there again!

Nicely sized cottage with a large deck in front for great sunsets.

Thankyou for sharing this amazing place. My husband & I were celebrating our anniversary. Were surprised it was Right on the water! Very relaxing. Only issues were both nights a loud bang was heard, could have been thunder related? Kinda scary. Loved the journals.

Wonderful long weekend for my daughter and I. Cottage was exactly how it was listed. Clean, cozy and right on the beach. Great location and so close to town. We had a wonderful time. Would love to come back again

The cottage was everything we needed. It was clean and adorable. Gary was quick to answer any questions and went above the call when the first one to arrive had difficulty opening the door. The key code is on the main door, so open up the storm door and input your code there. We had a lovely, relaxing stay! Thank you, Gary and Debbie!

Gorgeous and semi-private location!

There was no mention of the 8 steep steps you had to go up and down coming and going to the car. Part of the reason I chose this particular place was not only the location, but that only 3 steps to the beach were mentioned. For those with a bad knee this is important. Those steps also had to be navigated unloading and loading.

We are from Oklahoma and love going to the lake. Our daughter lives in Illinois and asked us to join her on this vacation. We couldn’t even imagine how perfect this place would be. Beautiful view of the beach, lake and amazing evening sunsets. We were on the beach a great deal of the time with our 3 year old grandson and enjoyed every minute of it. The deck was so nice and we built a fire one evening and sat by it as we ate our dinner we grilled on the grill that was provided. We’ll definitely be back!

You cannot beat the location of this cottage for its convenience to town (15min walk) and the lake! Cottage has everything you need including the lake views and sunset. Took my mom for a surprise Mother’s Day weekend trip - she more then enjoyed!

very cute and steps from the beach. Fyi for those with young children or babies, a pack n play barely fit in the bedroom with the bunk bed. It did fit, but barely.

The perfect beach cottage for a family weekend away. Charming interior with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. We watched the lake all day long so if we weren’t out walking the beach we were inside watching. The deck was wonderful. Cottage location is close to town and shops. We definitely will return and thank Gary and Debbie for easy communications!

Not expensive and nice location. Not one of the cottages were rented (it was october), had the whole place to ourselves. Spent more time on the beach or walking to the pier. Love listening to the waves and seagulls. Town is a quick few minute drive away. Would definitely rent again. Price and location are worth a second trip.

Easy to rent, great communication with the owners, ON the beach and walkable to everything. Only downfall is you are dependent on who else is renting the other units - sharing a beach wasn’t top priority for other renters while we were there.

Our vacation at this cottage was filled with everything we expected and more. It is truly a Gem, tucked away, on Lake Michigan.

Private beach and beautiful sunsets

The owners were incredibly helpful in setting up the stay and adjusting dates when my schedule changed. The cottage itself is sun-filled and the perfect beach get away. The location cannot be beat. It's walking distance to town and the cottage itself sits right at the beach. We stayed mid-October so loved the fireplace for keeping it warm and cozy at night. I traveled with my two kids who both loved being able to head out the door and hit the sand immediately. The cottage was stocked with what you need for a weekend getaway and has space outside for drying beach wet clothing. My children and I will gladly return for future visits.

We have been coming here for about 13 years. It is peaceful and clean. The view can’t be beat. Have never been disappointed!

My husband and I just spent a relaxing 5 nights at this adorable cottage ON the beach. Walking distance to towns and shops. It was just what we were looking for in a post Labor Day getaway. The cottage shares property with 7 other units, and at this time of year they were only half full. Nice, quiet, relaxing getaway. The cottage is nicely furnished and could sleep up to 6. I feel any more than 4 adults would be a bit crowded. Kids probably wouldn’t be much of an issue as they would likely be outside the majority of the time. I would say that the bathroom could use some work this winter. I easily would have given it 5 starts aside from the shower. It is old, and the flooring is in disrepair covered with a bath mat and the shower head leaks onto the wall, it really needs updating. Some general updates to decore (photo in second bedroom had two dead bugs in it, and they were well in stages of decay) would be nice too, but not necessary. We had some internet issues at first. Husband is an IT wiz and was able to fix it (the cable going to the modem was split twice which wasn’t just not a strong enough signal. We bypassed the second split and then had no issues). We had a small issue with a dying lock battery that was fixed SO QUICKLY and owners were very responsive. Great customer service given by the owners is a huge plus in the rental world. We are planning on returning next year!

Great location, had everything we needed for a weekend getaway.

Our first trip to South Haven was fantastic! This cottage right on the beach was both perfect for sunsets and s'mores and just a couple minutes from everything we wanted to do in town. Debbie and Gary are super responsive and easy to deal with. I strongly recommend their cottage for your getaway to Michigan!

The owners are great at communicating necessary information ahead of time. The view was beautiful and being able to walk out onto the beach was very convenient for time in the sun and watching the sunset. The inside of the cottage had the basics but was a bit outdated. But it was clean. The whole experience felt like being a part of a mini village. There were only a few others staying at the cottages because we went late in the season, but we did pass each other a few times sitting on the porch.
