Reviewer Comments: we arrived at the cabin with detail instructions on how to locate.the inside of the cabin was very clean,with one exception. if standing in the loft you can see dead bugs on the windowsill of the living room windows. The direct TV did not work the first night,but we did call for help and it was quickly resolved.Our biggest disappointment was the back porch. the hot tub had rust in it and the chemicals were not a result,unfortunately did not get to use.the back porch needs some TLC.There is mold everywhere and very little seating. the deck needs a lot of work same withe the deck down stairs also.the picnic table has seen better days and needs a good cleaning.the hot tub and back porch were one of the enticing parts of renting this house,as we were looking forward to using this space and enjoying the view from outside. however,we were unable to utilize that space at all.the view is now mostly obscured by growth of the trees and the underbrush has all but taken over the side of the house where the steps are located. the inside of the house was a 4/5, but the back decks/hot tub was a 1/5

The main living area was very smaller than what pics showed, but there was another living area in the basement, so we sent all the kids there to play. Lots of board games. Very close to Bryson City and Cherokee. It was well stocked but we ended up taking everything with us, so we did not use any consumables. Overall, we would definitely return in a few years.

The property was perfect for our family weekend in Bryson city. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. We had no problems at all from booking to checking out. Everything went real smooth.

Cozy fireplace and amazing view.

The cabin was perfect. It was very clean and cozy. We arrived late at night and it was very cold outside so it took a long time to get the place heated up because they keep the temperature at 55 in the winter. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much . It’s close enough to town even though we were at the top of a winding road. Instructions were perfect on how to get there .

However, the cabin was filthy when we arrived for check in. The floors were covered in a sticky residue throughout the kitchen, there was hair all over the bathroom floors and all of the bedding, cobwebs in all the vaulted corners, the drawers in the kitchen were very gross on the inside, etc. I would fire your housekeeping, as it didnt look like anything more than the bare minimum had been done for a very like time. For the nightly rental rate, we feel like the cabin should have been clean at the minimum. There were also multiple notes in the binder from previous guests about the cleanliness of the cabin and broken things that had not been addressed such as the dishwasher rack on the top being broken.

Nice location and nice cabin. We found trash in one of the bedrooms. We found beer cans around the jacuzzi. The grass around the fire pit and the cabin was over grown. The property needs some TLC.

Reviewer Comments: The house is located at the top of a beautiful mountain peak, which would be breathtaking if we didn't see these mountains and views every day. It's a little bit of a steep trek driving up from the bottom of the mountain, but it's all paved, so it shouldn't be a problem for any model car unless there's snow or ice. One of the main reasons for staying there was celebrating one of our birthdays by going to Harrah's Cherokee Casino, which was about a 25 minute drive from the house, so it was fairly convenient. The furnishings are nice and of good quality. The kitchen is a good size conveniently off of the living room, which has large windows & doors out to the middle deck. The views from the middle & upper decks are beautiful, with the lower deck being a little more private below tree level. It is a 3-level home, which we enjoyed, but might be a turn-off if you don't want to be going up and down a lot of stairs, because there certainly are a lot. It's got some entertainment options like TV, pool table, and a basket in the kitchen that contains some card games, which was nice when we had some down time. The only drawback, though, is the TV in the basement, where we wanted to spend a lot of our time, was stuck on Nickelodeon. It's the only channel that even showed up as available on the "Guide", and there were no parental controls or locks we saw that could unlock the other channels. Also, the hot water did not work when we tried to use it. With it being fairly late in the evening, we didn't want to disturb the staff, so after a little investigation we found that the breaker was turned off for the hot water heater! Needless to say, it took a little while before we could enjoy a hot shower... Other than that, the beds were comfortable and we had a great stay!

The cabin was even better in person and the views were amazing. We had bad weather move in and we had two different people with the rental company call to alert us and give us information. Hands down the best vacation rental experience I’ve ever experienced.

A little lacking in the pots and pans department, could use some upgrades to kitchen ware and utensils. Master bath had a leaky toilet and we had to shut it off while there and couldn't use it - told maintenance and while they tried to get someone there, didn't get fixed while we were there. Basement shower had serious drainage issues, also told the cleaning folks to drop some Drano next time they came around. Need to fix the handle on the main floor back porch door - it falls off when you open the door and there is a broken lock. Pool table only had one cue stick that could be used, other was broken and the table itself has a large rip. Overall, we enjoyed the home and the view, as well as its proximity to Bryson City, and think it could benefit from just a little TLC to be the "perfect" getaway!

Just as the listing states the views are amazing! It is also located in a gated community which made me feel safe. It is very private and secluded. The cabin is nice but has clearly been neglected for many years. Two months before our arrival we saw reviews about how there were nails sticking out of the stairs and that the fireplace wasn't working. We contacted the rental agency to ask if these things had been remedied. They assured us that the nails had been hammered and the fireplace worked because they clean them and turn them on each November. (Our stay was in December). When we arrived at the cabin the electric fireplace was not working. There isn't even a log attached to the gas line inside. The propane tank outside was capped off so even if there was a log in it there is no way it could be used. We called the manager and they said they would get in touch with someone and we never heard back from them. The cabin also advertised there is satellite TV, but two of the three TVs had no satellite connection. We had to stream from our phones. The issues we encountered seem easy enough to fix and with some TLC this cabin can be so much more. For the price you pay to rent a place like this you have higher expectations of what it should be. Would consider staying again if repairs are made.

The fireplace logs were missing although it advertised fireplace. There is water coming in through the siding because the gutters are full, so full that weeds are growing from them. one gutter downspout was falling off. The carpet in the basement needs to be replaced. musty in basement due to water intruding in home. the handle on the back door kept falling off. The lights in the upstairs bathroom did not work. had to use a flashlight. location was great to bryson city. roads were steep, but that's what you get when you go for high elevation breath taking views. would love to go back if they put some money into this cabin and make it great again.

They were Sharp nails that stuck out of the staircase treads. And I would strongly recommend bringing your own kitchen supplies there’s a hodgepodge of broken in bed kitchen utensils. On a positive note the Wi-Fi and satellite works really well. And the hot tub performed as advertised.

However for the price point they should address the problems. We read in reviews about the back door handle for months before we travelled and assumed it would be fixed, it was not. There were other small issues, the fire place didn't work, lights not working in one bathroom, faucet leaking in another. These were small issues and didn't effect our stay. It was clean and we used the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit, all fine. I did call the management company asking if there was a Keurig and was told no, but there was one.
