We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage! Our host, Suzy, left a few little 'extras' which made us feel special! We appreciated the quiet street within the 'village'. We definitely hope to return in the near future!

Delightful home away from home

Accommodation was great. We were at a location that had less traffic than some others. Well maintained, fully equipped and clean!

Our family of five (plus dog!) stayed 9 nights in this delightful cottage near beautiful Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park! The cottage was perfect for our needs, providing ample space for our family to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. The beach is a bit of a stroll from the cottage - so bring your bikes and ride to/from like we did! The Oceanside Village Resort community is very family-friendly with great amenities including the indoor pool/hot tub and Riptide Lagoon mini-golf and bumper cars next door. Suzy, the cottage’s owner, was super responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay!

Very impressed cottage! Everything was as shown in the pictures. The kitchen was fully equipped and made us feel right at home. Our kids especially loved the loft and the indoor pool. We were so thankful to have air conditioning which cooled the place down for good sleep. The bottle of wine and the many beach towels were thoughtful touches! Great communications with the owner - always prompt and smooth. Will book again without hesitation!

I have stayed at this resort many times and this was probably the best unit and location for our young family. It’s located on a dead-end street, has a fully fenced deck and a very short walk to the pool. The backyard/deck backs onto another property so not the most private but wasn’t an issue for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and the toilet paper and paper towel were great quality (it’s all the little things that make a place stand out 🙂). We can’t wait to come back!

Was just as expected

We spent the month of February at this beautiful cottage, the place was immaculate when we arrived, all photos are accurate. Bottle of wine upon arrival which was a nice touch, plenty of dishes and kitchen supplies, wifi excellent, nice 15 minute walk to to the beach, we hope we are able to return again, thank you for sharing your home with us

We had a very relaxing month. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a recliner. Love the grocery stores in the area. Will book again.

Fantastic cottage with great amenities. Easy distance to anywhere you would like to travel and great walking trails close by.

Everything was wonderful about this rental. We love Parksville and it was a real bonus to have this property to come home to after hiking or biking. It truly felt like our home. Great hot tub as well to soothe the muscles. We hope to return again. Thanks.

Beach access is not near this resort. By foot, if you trespass on a road owned by another resort, it is about 1/2 mile to the beach. The "conditions" were only sent to us 2 days before arrival. Found out we are responsible to fetch & pay for the propane tank in using the BBQ. Upstairs master suite "loft" is not private. Bring earplugs, otherwise you hear conversations & the T.V. below. There was no hair blow dryer. Fridge door shelf fell off & our bottle of wine shattered all over the floor. It was not fixed as well owner did not offer to buy us another bottle of red wine.

Nice & relaxing. It is as advertised

There are many cottages at Oceanside, this one really shines at it’s near the pool, has aircon, a great deck for bbq and is immaculate inside. We booked again before we even left!

Our family (4 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The location is perfect being very close to Rathtrevor Beach Park as well as other Parksville beaches and amenities. The on-site pool was a great hit as was the mini golf Riptide Lagoon located on the same block. The unit is exactly as pictured and was a nice fit for our family during our 10 day stay.

A review for parents with young children. We had my 1.5 and 3 year old and my parents. - baby gate for the stairs. - no high chair or crib. - one block distance to get to the mini golf area. Kids were able to walk without getting tired. You can still go in and enjoy the area even though you’re not playing golf. Ice cream, car structures to climb on. - pool is great. Shallow area is 3 ft, so will need parent at all times. There were two pool noddles in the home which were handy. Hot tub not too hot, kids could go in. Pool very close, can walk. - on a quiet cul de sac, so not many cars going in and out. - bunnies everywhere!! There was a small bunny living in the front grassy area. - air conditioning makes the home cool during the hot days. Keep the room doors open to cool them before sleeping. - entrance to rathtrevor beach is across the street, but long path to the beach. There was no way my kids could walk that far. We drove, lots of parking. We loved our stay so much that we booked again for next year!

We loved our stay here. Most well appointed property ive stayed at. Our every need was anticipated and even a bottle of welcome wine which was much appreciated. Comfortable and convenient! Highly recommended!

From the moment we walked in it was perfect. Very welcoming feeling. The right amount of chairs for 6 people inside or out. So nice to have a proper table as we like to play board games. Location is excellent and only 5 min to beach. Parking is great for 2 vehicles. Left us a nice bottle of wine. So much to do here great holiday. Will definitely come again. They rescheduled us due to travel restrictions and gave us a discount since we had to change to more expensive summer dates. Wonderful place.

The cabin is exactly as pictures show. It was a comfortable and relaxing stay and I enjoyed the walks and running to the beach even in the rain! I will definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed at this cottage for the month of October 2020. We were impressed with the overall cleanliness and location as well as comfortable beds. Very close to rathtrevor beach, local shopping and restaurants. Our grandchildren visited us for a few days and enjoyed the nearby indoor pool very much. This is a really nice cottage for couples and/or families. Highly recommended.

Great local, beautiful unit, close to beach pub, food, would do again

Very clean, well stocked, and just as advertised. Easy access to Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay and everything else in the area. The beach at Rathtrevor is about a 15 minute walk away. The only suggestion for improvement might be a fan for the upstairs loft bedroom. The downstairs area never got that hot and even late in the day when it did get a little warm, the AC cooked it down quickly. But that cool air never made it upstairs and it was harder to sleep up there because of that. Thanks.
