We had a wonderful stay and the house was possible the best rental we have ever stayed in. From waking up to watch the manatee’s swimming in the cove out back, to a nice morning stroll on the beach, the location offered everything you could need and want. Take a hot tub, swim in the pool then hit the beach, rinse and repeat. Add in a few meals at some of the great local spots and that pretty much sums up the week.

This house was perfect. The location is great. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa. It was really nice to sit in the spa on chilly nights. The 2 minute walk to the beach was so easy especially with all of the equipment that comes with house - chairs, beach cart, umbrella, cooler, beach toys, etc. Thank you Olaf and Marissa for such a lovely home.

We recently stayed at Manatee Watch for a week (2 Adults and 4 kids ages 17,16,13 and 10). This property was perfect for our family. It was clean, had all the amenities and was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and where we spent most of our time. It was a very short walk to the beach as well as to shops and a few restaurants. A short drive and you could easily get to everywhere on the island. Our host, Marissa, met us when we arrived and was extremely nice and welcoming. We hope to visit sometime again. Would highly recommend.

The home is beachy cute & clean. Great location on a canal & only 1 long block to the beach. Property managers are so nice & respond very quickly.

We have just had a fantastic 11-night vacation at Manatee Watch. The home is very well situated on a waterway, yet just a few minutes walk from beautiful Holmes Beach. There is a Publix a couple of minutes drive away along with a Walgreens and a range of good restaurants offering a range of options from breakfast to dinner. It is an easy drive to the other beaches, shops and restaurants on the island or down to Longboat and Lido Key. There’s great shopping and restaurants 30 mins away at St Armand Circle. The house itself is tastefully furnished and very comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied and most importantly the whole house is absolutely, spotlessly clean. By the lovely pool, is a covered area outside offering various, very welcome sitting options in the shade along with a barbecue and TV. We saw manatees, including a mother and baby, from the back deck every day: it was a truly wonderful experience. Olaf and Marissa were very easy to contact and communication and response were always excellent. It was lovely to meet them both on arrival and we appreciated the time they took to show us round and ensure we knew how everything worked. We had no issues at all during our stay: everything worked perfectly. We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes and this was by far our favourite: it was a very special home-from-home. We would highly recommend this beautiful house as a base on AMI and are already planning on when we could return. Thank you Olaf & Marissa.

We loved staying at Manatee Watch! We brought our 4 teenage boys and they loved the location to the sea, the trolley, their favorite breakfast spot and the pool and hot tub too. They fished on the dock and the pier too! The daily manatee sightings were an added bonus and such fun! The house was very clean and had a nice kitchen we cooked in a few times. Our family (3 young kids under 5) stayed here for the week and this place was just perfect!! Very clean, tons of fresh towels, felt very well kept up. Beds were firm but comfortable. Everything well stocked (without clutter) more so than other rentals we have stayed at. Pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Olaf greeted us on arrival and showed us how to work everything in the pool area. We definitely saw some manatees right off the dock, kids got sprayed by one and found it hilarious. Beach supplies were perfect with cart, pool floats, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, cooler. Quick walk to the beach that was not crowded and absolutely gorgeous. We also loved the location. Quiet street with easy access to trolley, grocery store, beach etc. quick few minutes on golf cart to north of island but also closer to brandenton etc. if exploring south. Really recommend this place! Our family had an amazing time discovering AMI, and left feeling so refreshed! Thanks for hosting us :)

This home suited us to a tee. Right on a canal and a short walk to the beach. The house is very clean and well equipped, even beach chairs, pool floats and sand chairs. Can’t wait to return!

The property was very clean & felt bigger & brighter than the pictures showed. We loved watching the manatees from our deck every day. Very short walk to the beach & a wonderful pool & hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was amazing and was even better than the pictures showed. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach buggy, beach toys, beach umbrella, coolers and folding chairs. The back porch and pool area were great and anytime we weren't at the beach, this is where we were. The location was also great with a short, two block walk to a beautiful beach for locals. Definitely plan on coming back in the future!

We had a fabulous week in Anna Maria. The property was exceptional!! The pool and spa were just perfect and watching the manatees from the dock was incredible. We look forward to visiting again!!

We arrived with Olaf greeting us. We had access to a full garage, that was great for our gulf cart and car. I’m the garage was a bathroom close to the pool. The outside shower felt so good coming from the hot beach and allowed us to rinse our sand off. an outside. We loved the pool with a great bay view of SO many manatees. We loved that there was covered deck for shade and a balcony that overlooked the pool and bay. From the upper level. There were plenty of bath and beach towels as well as items you need before going to the store. We found the place full of natural light with a well equipped kitchen. There were coolers, beach umbrellas, chairs and a cart that we used on our quick walk to the beach. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!!!

Wonderful location, great property with manatees out back every day. Property is close to the beach on a golf cart friendly island. Owners were super responsive, hand delivering the keys and offering local expertise. Will stay again!

The house and property are pretty amazing. Everything you could want, well appointed. The owners were incredibly responsive when a problem arose with the dishwasher. Replaced same day of issue. The pool and deck are just as pictured. The manatee sightings from the pier were many. Very short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

This property is everything it says it is! Private, lots of manatee watching just off the deck. Short walk to the beach, beautiful sunsets. The property owners are wonderful and so accommodating! We can't wait to return!

Incredibly well maintained with comfortable beds and furnishings. Very easy and quick access to the beach. This property does not disappoint - truly lovely. It was very special to meet the owners - not a rental company - and see their commitment to the satisfaction of their guests.

It was a delightful stay. Accommodations were great. Pool & hot tub with large social area were used every day. Our son caught fish off the very nice pier & we had manatees visit every day. Very close to the free trolly. Short walk to the beach and stores. The owners came immediately and replaced the valve in the toilet when it was not acting right.

As first time VRBO users we were a little anxious to get checked in, our host was amazing from check in to checking in with us, all was perfect. The property did not disappoint, we were extremely happy with the accommodations. Neighborhood is great, neighbors were great, close to beach, perfect vacation spot especially for those who might have young fishermen in the family.

Like so many of the reviews before us, we have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Manatee Watch and Olaf and Marissa. We would definitely stay again! There was excellent communication leading up to our stay. Check in was a breeze. We had a couple questions during our stay and they were very responsive/helpful. The property is exactly as shown in the listing. Very clean, up to date, and perfect for our family of 4. Bonus points for the grill being newer/cleaner than most rentals we’ve used :-) The location is excellent. It’s less than 5 minutes to the beach by foot, and the beach access was not crowded at all. The canal is serene and peaceful, and we had Manatees swimming around most days. The grocery store, a marina, and several restaurants are less then 5 minutes away as well. It made our daily excursions accessible and easy. We had a great time and recommend Manatee Watch for all it has to offer while at Holmes Beach/AMI.

This house was perfect and the hosts were amazing. The house was clean and came with all of the essentials and more. Many days we saw manatees and the beach was a short walk and never crowded. This was our first time in Anna Maria Island and Olaf & Marissa were so helpful answering all of our questions and gave great recommendations. This was my first time booking a VRBO so I was a little anxious. I had no reason to worry! The house was amazing & clean. Many days we saw manatees. The house came with all of the essentials (hand soap, face soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, & so much more). So no need to pack the essentials. The home is less than 5 minutes from publix and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach was never crowded. The home is also next to the trolley stop which is very convenient. Olaf & Marissa were always available when needed and were great hosts. I would definitely book one of their homes again.

The house was wonderful and just as described and as it looks in the photos. Perfect location. We loved the pool and hot tub. We saw manatees in the canal daily. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We will be back for sure.

My family of 5 had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and the toys, and I loved the well stocked kitchen, and clean house. There was enough laundry soap and dish tablets that we didn't have to buy them. We saw manatees almost every morning. Beach access is just down the road, we walked multiple times a day. Trolly stop is less than a minute walk. A great property. Olaf was quick to answer any questions, and super helpful on check-in. Book it. You won't be sorry!
