Clean, safe and secure, beautiful view

We spent three nights on the Hilo side of the island and loved our stay at the Hilo Beach House. The location overlooking the park and ocean was lovely. The room was immaculate. We enjoyed exploring Hilo and vicinity, as well as a day trip to Volcano. We will choose this accommodation again when returning to the Big Island.

This is an awesome location, 5 minutes from town, and right next to the best beach parks. Parking is great as well. The unit is super clean, comfortable and updated. Would definitely stay here again. The hosts are very friendly and helpful as well. Perfect spot in Hilo

My wife and I greatly enjoyed the unique, beautiful Inn. The room overlooks the beach and tidal pool area, so while it also overlooks the public parking lot it is quite relaxing. It is 7-10 minutes from downtown Hilo shops and restaurants, and a good starting point for day trips to Volcanoes National Park as well as destinations north and south of town. The owner lives on the 3rd floor and was very responsive and hospitable. It was clear a great deal of thought went into the Inn design and materials, starting with the ground level floor being used for different types of classes that also serves as tsunami proofing. The room floors, showers, bathroom bowl, small frig, lanai overhang & screening, and automatic lights in the hallways were other examples of great design and materials. Accessing the Inn can be a bit quirky at first, but easy thereafter. We found the pricing to be comparable to other viable rental and hotel options. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

This was a great location for our homebase while we explored the east side of the island.

Overall really enjoyed this very clean stay and beautiful location. Much nicer than any of the local Hilo hotels I’ve stayed at. Very near to the beach but a bit disappointed that we could not sleep with the windows open to hear the waves because they were drowned out by the frogs.

Chris’s place was very clean and in a prime location with water view! His suggestions for places to eat and things to do were spot on! We enjoyed staying here!

Beautiful unit with exquisite furnishings.

What a beautiful place to stay. Large, updated room with a fabulous screened balcony, wonderful set up, all the amenities, top of the line products and bedding. The ocean was just a few steps away. Wonderful retreat.

We absolutely loved staying here! The Inn manager Renee was fantastic and gave us great recommendations for activities and food nearby. The room was comfortable, with a great view of the water. The bed was so comfortable and the surrounding landscape of the property was stunning. Such a great find for our stay. I highly recommend this property.

We wanted a cute, boutique hotel and this was perfect. Beautiful room right near the ocean. The hosts were so nice - shared some excellent day-trip ideas. Would definitely stay here again.

Great retreat with modern, stylish rooms and awesome staff!

Quiet and relaxing, this property introduced us to the natural beauty of Hawaii. Located in a residential area, away from the bustling resorts, our screened lanai overlooked a community park that opened onto a protected cove and then the Pacific. The unit was large with a mini kitchen that met our every need. The real bonus was Renee, the property manager. She met our every challenge in a nearly post-COVID travel world and made us comfortable and happy. She made our stay the great success it was.

We stayed two nights on the Hilo side of the big island so that we could go to volcano national park. The accommodations in Hilo are limited compared with the Kona side. However, we were so impressed with our choice. It was exceptionally clean. Located across the street from the beach with shallow tidal pools. Near restaurants and 30 minutes from the national park.

Gorgeous boutique hotel on a stunning property right on the beach. Super clean, spacious room with screened in lanai, excellent for morning coffee and relaxing evenings. Fantastic yoga, Pilates, and salsa classes available in a stunning open air venue. This property delivers on perfection, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We were more than happy with our and the location of the Inn. Despite being right behind the beach parking lot, it was quiet and we enjoyed opening up the lanai doors to hear the ocean waves and birds. Close to restaurants and downtown Hilo but feels like you're tucked in the jungle.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilo Beach House inn. The orchid room had a great view of the ocean and we loved relaxing on the lanai after exploring Hilo during the day. Very friendly staff, and yoga/Pilates classes offered in beautifully open air studio.

Beautifully appointed room, right on the beach- lots of loving details for beauty and comfort in this boutique hotel by builder/owner Chris - who was warm, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely return!

We stayed in the Orchid room for 7 nights in February. Clean, beautiful room and furniture, nice screened-in deck to sit and watch the ocean, a great shower, and the most comfortable bed ever. The tiny kitchen area has a frig, coffee, bowls and utensils, so we could manage breakfast on the deck every morning before beaches and exploring. The building is beautifully constructed and private. Chris, our host contact was always available if needed but did not intrude. Perfect week - we wanted to stay forever!

A perfect stay!! The room is clean comfortable and well appointed. The shower is amazing!!!! Lanai looks directly out to the beach and protected swimming area. (Yes there is a parking lot view as well but honestly that is minor). The sound of the waves at night is heavenly. Walk out of the property fence and across the beach parking lot to a protected swimming spot. Can’t say enough good things about this property. Thank you for a terrific time.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Beach House Inn. The cleanliness was impeccable! Very impressed with the security of the building with a secure door to the rooms that are rented and secure door to our room. Chris was very helpful before, during and after our stay. Damage deposit was quickly refunded. Quality of the furniture was over top and the tile and woodwork were beautiful. Access to public park/beach was easy (short walk)- and not noisy at all - but it was January too.
