The Breakfast was disappointing - pastries and croissants stale on Sunday morning (and cold) hot food was cold, two eggs were thrown together some broken. Staff just walk in front of you and talk as if you weren't there. Waited 30mins to get some ice delivered to the room. Coffee machine kept needing to be sorted.
Location is out of the way - even the Uber drivers had a problem finding it.

The Marriott Hotel boasts a central location that provides easy-ish access to key attractions, dining options, and cultural experiences. While it may not be within walking distance to most areas, its placement ensures that guests can quickly reach their desired destinations, whether by a short drive.
I had a disappointing experience at the Marriott Hotel that I feel compelled to share. Firstly, despite booking a room with a "Sea view," I was shocked to find that the view was of a commercial harbor, not the Ocean View Cape Town has to offer. When I raised this concern with the staff, instead of addressing the issue seriously, they simply and literally laughed it off, showing a lack of empathy and professionalism.
Furthermore, the rooms at the Marriott Hotel were smaller than expected and lacked the level of decoration and comfort one would associate with a reputable hotel chain. The furnishings seemed dated and uninspired, failing to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Overall, my stay at the Marriott Hotel left much to be desired. The misleading "Sea view," coupled with the dismissive attitude of the staff and underwhelming room quality, detracted significantly from the experience. I would caution others to manage their expectations if considering this hotel for their stay.

Sehr gute Lage um zu Fuß zur Waterfront zu gelangen.
Die Klimaanlage im Restaurant….ohne Strickjacke/ Pullover geht da nichts und es zieht „wie Hechtsuppe“☹️

Walking from hotel to Waterfront is tricky. Without construction area, it could be very close. But actual time takes over 25 mins. Uber is better choice.

The location was a bit out of the way. was neither close to the V&A or centre.

1. 330ml water bottles for ZAR 30.00 - complete rip off!
2. We invited our children to join us for breakfast, which was similarly completely over priced.
3. We forgot our iphone charger in the room, phoned the next day, staff committed to revert, still waiting!

the location is near the V&A, but there is a many detours. to reach the waterfront no access directly. Ther should be more shuttle to V&A .

The staff was absolutely amazing. Kind ,friendly, happy, and helpful, just to name a few. The staff really made my experience just that more pleasant. Celebrated my 50th Birthday. Group of 10 stayed. We all agreed that the breakfast was superb. The rooms where clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was was absolutely amazing on all work shifts. I feel like a made some friends. Thanks to you all!!
I was disappointed about the location. I was under the impression that I could walk out of the hotel right into the waterfront mall area. You are considered being in the waterfront, but you are about a supposedly 15-20 minute walk into the center where the action is. Really don't know because there was construction going on. We had to take Uber, which wasn't bad. It's about a good 7-minute ride. There was a lot of noise due to construction next door.. It probably wouldn't have been that bad if it wasn't for the fact that we decided to sleep late that day. The staff was so nice, and they found us a room on the other end of the hotel on a higher floor. It was a little noisy at night from the containers being moved around at the port across the street. The funny thing is, it was well worth it due to the beautiful pictures I took of the port and the artwork on the side of the building, absolutely amazing!!

Very expensive and not worth the price paid at all. It’s quite far from the waterfront and while the hotel offers a complimentary bus and water boat to reach the waterfront the timings are limited. The view wasn’t good. I could see construction from my window. I was quite disappointed and was expecting a much better value for money. Other 4 stars are a quarter of the price.

Great location within walking distance to the V&A waterfront. Excellent staff especially the wait staff at breakfast.
The cleaning could have been better. When we first arrived there was still a lot of the previous guests hair on the shower wall.
