The view and the surrounding countryside was exceptional and the cottage in a wonderful position in which to explore North Wales. The cottage had lots of charm and character which is what we wanted. Everything we needed was supplied in the well stocked and equipped kitchen. The bathroom was also very good, very light and bright with ample hot water. The bedrooms were full of character with the single beds in the twin bedded room being very comfortable.

On arriving at the cottage ( I'm sorry to say it looked slightly run down) however on entering there was an overpowering smell of damp/ urine. It seemed to be coming from the lounge and the carpet/couches. It was so bad we did not use the lounge and sat at the table in the kitchen all week. When we got there a dead fly was on the bedroom window sill and I also had to use a brush to get down the cobwebs from the inside of the windows by the kitchen table. Every morning when we came downstairs there were silver slug trails all around the kitchen area. Added to that the double bed was extremely hard. The cottage needs upgrading in terms of addressing the damp, carpet and soft furnishings. I suspect that also dogs may have using the couch as a toilet.

The double bed is a bit too firm for my liking and the shower wasn’t draining hardly at all.

The generosity of arriving to tea facilities, milk & cake .. a friendly welcome after a long drive ♡

Lovely cosy cottage in quiet location. Pet friendly and great views from the garden.

Settee was uncomfortable and could do with replacing.
