We stayed just one night. Our host was very helpful and allowed us to store our luggage early while our room was bing prepared, which allowed us some extra time to explore. The room is very quiet, and dark, so good for sleeping.

The apartment was cosy and comfortable and ideally situated in San Gimignano. The apartment was surprisingly quite considering how far from the main street the place is. The courtyard is beautiful and an ideal spot to relax away from it all. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and they are all a short walk away. The only criticism is about unloading and finding the place. Directions are provided and the host is responsive and helpful but we had to call in the end. There are a couple of parking bays just outside the town walls that have a max 15min waiting but there were never available so had to park in one of the many paid car parks which wasn’t a problem but aren’t that close when you are carrying your luggage. Once we had settled in we tracked down the free parking. Don’t let this put you off as the apartment is great and ideal for exploring the town.

The location was perfect, the attention/helpfulness from staff re: parking, places to eat, laundry services, etc. excellent, and the ambiance very cool (13th century and all that). We had a charming courtyard, a full kitchen (although we were expected to not eat in the apartment), and a reasonably comfortable bed. There seemed to be a problem with mold, though; we should have been suspicious when the windows were open and a large fan running when we arrived. It was unmistakable in the bathroom, where the toilet and shower were only separated by a temporary screen (and the shower drain was in the middle of the bathroom floor, which of course became dangerously wet after each shower). We also noticed that items in the room were moved around when we weren't "home," which definitely made us uncomfortable.

Wow! To stay in a 13th century castle in the heart of medevil San Gimingano! Such a unique and surreal experience. Was perfect for our family of 4. Marzia was so helpful in guiding us/providing recommendations for everything from bike tours to a cooking class and wine tasting. She even facilitated laundry service for us, as we were on an extended holiday. Would stay again in a minute. Thank you Marzia, for an unforgettable experience.

We so enjoyed our stay at this charming room with a full kitchen and beautiful quiet courtyard to enjoy our meals. What a treasure. Can’t wait to go back again.

Our room was large with a small kitchen and perfect for us. Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably cold, however the hosts arranged a heater to help take the chill off. Breakfast was really good, and if you wanted they would provide additional options, you just had to ask. The hosts were incredibly helpful, they could just about arrange anything you needed to see or do. Of course the reason you stay here is for the location, and this place is perfect, when all the day trippers go home late in the afternoon, you have this beautiful town almost to yourself.

Charming apartment in a walled fortress city. After a bit of searching for parking we really enjoyed our stay. Luigi and Marzia are great hosts. The property has been in the family for generations. It was nice to hear the history of the estate and explore this charming city. Clean well kept with free wifi. So many good restaurants within a short walk and a bakery nearby. Wish we had more time to spend there.

I'm so glad that we stayed here. The host is very sweet and the apartment and patio were beautiful. It felt very authentic- not like a plain hotel at all. The only thing that we missed was A/C but even in July it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend this spot.

We only stayed for a week but we packed a lot in due to the help and information provided by Marzia. Let her know what your interests are food, music, wine tours etc and Marzia was there with suggestions. So thanks Marzia. The Piazza was a great historic place to stay and the location was ideal for bars, restaurants, shops & public transport with out worrying about noise etc. We traveled by pubic transport from Pisa airport and Marzia helped with our early return to Poggibonsi train station by arranging a car pick up.

Nous avons passé trois jours/nuits à San Giminiano. L'appartement est très bien situé dans la ville (parking rapide d'accès et gratuit) . Et bien que sur une rue extrêmement fréquentée, il est très calme car dans l'arrière cour. Par ailleurs, l'appartement est très bien tenu et équipé. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment accueillis, donné de très bons conseils - restaurants, balades, musées et animations de la ville). Si nous revenons à San Giminiano, ce sera à nouveau chez les Boldrini ! ML et SH

This place is centrally located on one of the main streets of this beautiful walled city. You can walk the entire town comfortably. The owner Pierluigi and his wife do everything they can to make your stay memorable and comfortable. We were in room 7 which is on the first floor and is fully equipped with everything needed to cook your own meals which is cost containing. There is a supermarket at the entrance to the town which you can walk to or ride the local mini buses for .75 €. Tickets on sale in Tobacco shop next door to apartment. We were there for a week and were able to also rent a car for about 90€ including gas, which is very expensive in Italy. With the car we drove to the Chianti region and were able to visit many small towns and had lunch at a small restaurant where we got the best meal we had in Italy. Gelato shops in the main square have the best gelato. Although weather was a bit chilly we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to thank Pierluigi for his hospitality. The trip to SanGi was by train from Florence to Poggibonsi where right outside the train station you catch a bus for a 20 minute ride to town. Bus tickets are purchase inside train station at Tobacco shop. You get off at San Mateo door which is literally steps from Pierluigi's beautiful building. Would definitely recommend this lodging and hope to return!

Property is perfectly located. Everything is within walking distance. Room was spacious, clean and cozy and super quiet. Pierluigi and Marzia were always available and very helpful...we highly recommend this property. Thank you for a great stay...we already miss it! Nick & Piera

my 3 friends and i were on vacation from Los Angeles,CA for 2 weeks traveling around italy and we stayed in this town for 3 days and was one of the best times we had in italy. very quiet and cozy at night when all the tousist go back to where they were staying. i would highly recommend staying here.
