1) Using smartphone to open the doors = very convenient if you arrive late 2) location close to metro, and to entertainment places in Batan (amusement park and zoo) 3) availability and flexibility of the host (fixed problems and was open to suggestions)

The apartment provided everything you need for a comfortable stay abroad - electrical appliances, air conditioning, kitchen utensils and so on. It felt like a home.

There was nothing to dislike.

The apartment is only a few minutes walk away from the Lucero metro station, which provided easy access to most of Madrid. The beds were comfortable, the aircon worked (but the unit in the lounge is quite noisy) and it was a quiet apartment block.

All the taps seem to have been connected back to front- the cold is hot and the hot is cold. The water in the shower is either scorching or freezing. We couldn't get the oven to work either. While the apartment is 'well equipped' the basics were missing. For example, there is a coffee machine, but there is no filter for it or coffee. While they provide a small amount of washing up liquid, the plug in the sink doesn't work, so you end up washing up with running water all the time. There is a washing machine and dishwasher- but no liquid, etc. So they are there, but not easy usable.... Regardless how well you clean up, there are loads of ants in the kitchen...

Good location near main train stations and supermarkets. Neighbours are nice Beds are so comfy Excellent value for money overall

Anyway, our stay was relatively good - the apartment was once very luxurious, still maintained. The location is relatively good. The apartment was clean. Despite all the above, our stay was normal.

We couldn't get into the building! The instructions for entering the building did not work, nor did the additional phone numbers help us! By pure chance, a woman came home and opened us. We took the keys to the apartment easily. The last day came a man who did not speak English and drove us out at exactly 11am, though I asked for a half hour delay on the phone! We had a problem with the water from the boiler, it changes sharply from cold to warm at a fixed position. The lighting in the kitchen was broken.
