We had a disappointing stay. The house is in a nice, quiet area and the layout is nice, but we had concerns about cleanliness.
The comforters and shams were visibly dirty and I noticed several blood stains on the pillows when I removed the pillowcases before check-out, per the owner's instructions. Also, there was a large dead cockroach by the bathtub on the main level and we found socks and an e-cigarette under furniture that the cleaning crew missed.
It isn't clear from the photos or description that one of the bedrooms is in the basement, and that bedroom was a problem. The bed in the basement had a lot of mouse droppings on it when we arrived and there were piles of mouse droppings in the corners of the bedroom. Also,
there were lots of cockroaches, dead and alive, in the basement bedroom.
The basement shower does not drain -- the water from morning was still standing there when we got back late evening -- and some of the upstairs sinks drain very slowly.
We had a lot of rain the week we stayed and water seeped through the basement floor and formed puddles that soaked my son’s backpack and the school textbooks in it.
I mentioned these problems to Jeff and he was responsive, promising to address my concerns and return the cleaning fee, which seems fair since the house was not clean. I have not received that refund, though, so I hope he has addressed the problems.

We came up for the Clemson football game with family. This is the perfect location and house for the weekend has everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked and back porch was perfect for afternoon gatherings.

The house worked out very well for all of us. We were able to find a company that would rent and drop off Kayaks on the property. We had 7 people in all, 4 adults and 3 children 12 and under. There was plenty of space. It was reasonably close to the wedding and other events we attended in the Anderson area.

Would recommend this Lake house to anyone that is looking for something for multiple families! We stayed here with 2 other families for a fishing tournament at Green pond. So much space on the inside and the screened in porch was awesome. The kids loved swimming at the dock. We was able to back 2 bass boats down the drive and park them right next to house to plug them in. Location is very easy to get to and within 5-10min of any food or shopping you could want!

Much bigger than it looks on the outside. Bedrooms are spacious and plenty of bathrooms. House had a lot of necessities for cooking, towels and coffee. Bring your own floats and outdoor activities as there are none there to use. The only problem we had is there is one board on the back deck that is coming loose and a few of us tripped on it a couple of times but we started walking around it once we tripped a few times 😂. Lots of steps and semi steep path to the lake but overall fantastic home!

We loved this property. The lake is easily accessible and beautiful. We were blessed with greaT weather and loved the lake itself, the screened porch and the fire pit.

We stayed here for my daughter’s graduation from Anderson University. It was perfect for my immediate family, my parents, and my mother-in-law. We loved the view from the screen porch as well as listening to nature all around. We would certainly come back again.

House was easy to find, well appointed/clean, and mornings on the dock with coffee were a great way to start the day. Communications with the host were easy and timely. We were visiting Clemson specifically (only 20 minutes to campus), but this location would be good for other Upstate SC trips as well. Highly recommended!

Great spot to spend a weekend in the lake with girl friends!

The house was nice but when we arrived it seemed like no one had been at the house in months. The air conditioner was set on 80 and it took a whole day to get it down to 70 which made sleeping terrible. The cove and dock were really nice. The house is in desperate need of a pest service; there were a lot of spiders and palmetto bugs.

Great house on Lake Hartwell
We had a great weekend at this lake house. It is spacious and there was plenty of room for our two families. The dock is great to tie up your boat and the screened in porch is nice to enjoy the outside without getting bothered by bugs.

Perfect meeting place
House was great for an all day visit from family. Happens to be hottest days of the year so we enjoyed the screen porch in the evening. Good size deck and gas grill were great but got rained on. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and dock was great to just float o. Blow up tubes and floats sonce it is not a busy part of the lake. Great location for kayaking with undeveloped areas to north that were calm waters. We had fun and this place is priced accordingly. Wished we could use the fire pit but way too hot out. Lots of trees so I think spider webs are everywhere no matter what you do.

Just what we needed!
We came looking to unwind, relax and enjoy the scenery and that’s exactly what we did. Really enjoyed the sunroom, fire pit and dock. Looking forward to our next trip to the lake.

Swimming and floating the day away
Great location! The home has a perfect floor plan for multiple couples/families vacationing together. We all spent most of our time at the dock swimming, floating, and paddling. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out...both indoor and outdoor dining as well as tvs for watching sports!!

Loved it!
Awesome!! We went for a young adult retreat and had 9 people. The property was amazing and relaxing, we put up hammocks by the water and overall had a wonderful time.
(The ONLY downside was when the guy came to do yard work, he was mowing and blowing off the back porch with a leaf blower. Normally wouldn’t mind but if we had a dinner party planned, it would have been interrupted. I feel like yard work could be done a different time, but not sure if the owners have control over when they come work.)
Other then that, the house is absolutely lovely, well decorated, we really enjoyed our stay :)

Great place to stay
This house was great for our group. We had 8 ladies and 2 babies and had plenty of room. Mattresses were amazing and I think we all slept great!

Amazing Home and Views!!!
This lake house has it all. Very comfortable with tons of sleeping options. The views are remarkable and location is very convenient into town.
We were in town for a youth wrestling tournament. Our 3 kids loved the basement with smart TV for video game hookup.
Lots of great socializing space. Lots of cookware and dishes.
Highly recommend!

Best Weekend Ever
Our daughter got engaged this weekend and she graduated from Anderson University!! We were able to connect with our newfound family and reconnect with friends. Such a beautiful property and we enjoyed every part of it from spacious comfortable rooms to a cozy screened in porch. We had great bonfires w/s’mores of course. And grilled out each evening for dinner. We loved gathering in the kitchen all together for meals. And one of best parts of staying here was the convenient location~close to every place you would want or need.

Perfect location
Our family of 7 stayed here for a delayed Thanksgiving. Everything was neat and clean and as described in the information. We had beautiful weather for the fall and enjoyed the views both sunset and sunrise. The kitchen was very well stocked for the occasion.

Family Friendly
Perfect location for AU visitors. Home is deceivingly spacious with great outdoor living areas as well. Kitchen is extremely well equipped. Friendly neighborhood for long walks. Master bathtub is great! Wish there were kayaks, but still enjoyed the dock both in the morning and under the moon. Be careful walking down the driveway and to dock in the Fall if it’s rained. It can be slick but after a good sweep, it dries quickly.

spacious home on the lake
My husband and I stayed here on a trip to visit our sons at Clemson. We had all the space we needed and then some. We all had a great time and especially loved the screened in porch.

Weekend wedding
We rented the house for our selves and bridesmaids while in town for our daughter’s wedding. The space was excellent. The kitchen was great for brunch, size and cooking utensils were great. The beds and baths fit our party size and needs. Just we could have spent more down time there.

Great family reunion lake house!
Great house and property. Super close to town and all conveniences. Very responsive and helpful owners. We will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

Great house on the lake!
The house, location and neighbors were all perfect. We absolutely loved the screened in porch and spent most of the day there. We loved the house layout and it was perfect for our crew. We all had our own area to retreat too and didn't feel like we were on top of each other when getting ready and sleeping. My only issue is the house needs some cleaning attention. The porch still had pollen and looks like it hasn't been swept off in months. There were cobwebs everywhere! Someone had cooked something in the oven that spilled over and it had never been cleaned. When we turned it on to cook smoke went everywhere and we had to open all the doors and windows. The grill was dirty too. This place is the perfect spot on the lake. It just needs some TLC! The owners were great. The neighbors were nice and we would definitely go back!

House was great, open concept. Short walk to the lake on a concrete walkway. Spend most of our time on the lake or on the screen porch. Kids had fun swimming off the dock

Great family fun!
We rented the house for a family get away. We loved the location- you feel tucked away but convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. The kitchen was well equipped with a variety of cookware that we used in preparing several family meals.
We also loved the covered dock! We went swimming, fishing and paddling with our kayak and canoe that we brought. We would stay again!

It was a great stay. I had some questions for the host, and he was VERY responsive and reactive - it was greatly appreciated. Very quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful setting, amazing floorplan
We very much enjoyed the house, the decorating and floor plan were superb. The yard is lovely and fully fenced to keep kids safe. The water is not clear blue, it is quite brown, but it was perfectly fine for paddling in the kayak we brought. We would definitely come back.

Great Location for Anderson and Clemson
We stayed here for an extended weekend with some of our college friends as one of us was getting married. We had all utensils for the kitchen, a lot more space than we needed and we had 9 people. The owner was extremely nice and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended for staying in Anderson or Clemson any season of the year! It was very clean and a fun time. We will defintiely be staying here again!
