This is an absolutely lovely lake house. We loved it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had access to everything we needed, supplied dishes, towels, paper products, etc. It was clean and in good order. If we stay in that area again, we've already decided to try to rent it again.

We loved this property for our stay. Everything was very comfortable! It was great for our family—close enough to downtown but far enough to be in a quiet neighborhood.

We found the reviews to be accurate. If you’re wanting a highly stylish home this is not, but it is fun, clean as a whistle and the view seen from cute updates kitchen, living and from the deck was a hit for us. Modest but nice Table & chairs on deck and 2 chair pad chairs. We would stay again.

Everything about this property was amazing. It was clean, spacious and located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. We spent a lot of time on the large upper balcony which had a beautiful view of the Colorado River. and hills. Our family of 5 stayed here for 5 days in order to attend a wedding at Vintage Villas on Lake Travis which was a 6 minute drive away.

Views from top deck were exceptional! First time experiencing the lakes and rivers around Austin. Drive into property is a little adventure, with some winding and steep climbs. Husband enjoyed it! Property was pet friendly and allowed for a small dog we brought. There are stairs, to climb inside and outside, just fyi for older folks or small kids. The wildlife was also very vocal, fun to hear. Over all a good stay!

Our group had an amazing time at this property. We were close to restaurants, BBQ food trucks, grocery stores, gift shops, hiking trails, Lake Austin, and Lake Travis. We spent several nights inside playing games, watching TV, cooking dinner and enjoying the view. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We felt very at home and would recommend to anyone and would stay again.

Cozy home. The kitchen is really large great for cooking at the house. Views from decks are amazing. Easy to find. I did have to reach out to property manager and they were very nice and responded immediately.

This is our third time staying at the property. It's the perfect place for my family to stay during the holidays.

The beds are small and squeaky. The downstair toilet did not work. The place feels old . Not worth the money.

Needed this break from work and life. Very nice property with a pretty view from the deck. We watched the water activity, deer and the noisy squirrel who lives there. A great location to watch fireworks last night! The morning breeze is very pleasant, even in the incredibly hot weather this year. Definitely recommend.

The place was super clean and pleasant to decompress after my daughter's wedding. The only complaint is half the outlets didn't work. Especially the outside deck for the lights and the lighting outside. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Four of us stayed in this property. We arrived to find trash around the house, a filthy BBQ grill and trash on it, trash on both decks and a broken chair on each deck. Inside, the house was fairly clean and orderly with everything working properly. However there was no shower soap in the downstairs bath and no linens in the kitchen, downstairs bath, and upstairs bath except for bath towels. We called immediately and we were not given any linens until 2:00 pm the next day. Not great. One of the beds downstairs is in bad shape. It squeaks terribly and moves around way too easily when you sit on it. One of our elderly party almost fell as a result. There is an old camper parked outside the house with spare parts, some tools, and a lot of trash under and around it. The location is fine and the view is quite pleasant. The neighborhood was very quiet. For the price, we expected more attention to detail. If renters have to pay for cleaning, then the place should be clean. Further, it irritates me to have to pay a cleaning fee and then find out at check out that we have to carry out the trash, strip the beds, pile all the lines somewhere, and run the dishwasher. If I am going to have to do all of that I could stay at home. This property is not the only place like this...VRBO is VERY BAD about this. So, overall our stay was ok. Just average. With some attention to detail by the owners and faster response to issues it could be an excellent place to stay. We will look elsewhere next time we are in the area.

Beautiful views! The perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature.

This house was in a great location; however, the cleanliness was very poorly done. The blankets had stains on them, the sheets were torn and dirty, and flooring was dirty in many areas of the house. We had issues during the check-in process as well. We had not received any email with check-in instruction. We were at the door for 2 hrs waiting for the Vrbo to respond to our chat questions. The host was not responsive at all on the Vrbo website. After a few hours waiting at the door and after staying on the Vrbo’s customer service line for a while, we were able to get the access code to enter the property. After the rather difficult check-in process, we were contacted by the host, and she was helpful and cooperative during our stay. All in all, I am really disappointed, we were not happy with the way we were dealt with, when we told Vrbo that our check-in is not going as planned. The chatting platform was not working. What’s the point of the chat when no one is there to respond? What if we had a more critical emergency and needed the host guidance? Also, why shouldn’t there be a quality control process to make sure the hosts maintain a professionally cleaned place for the guests? This is literally the last time I am going to book this place for our future travels.

Very good layout, tastefully decorated, well-supplied kitchen, 2 decks with great views, very well done bathrooms, high ceilings, and high/ end tile floor on ground floor. Overall exactly what we were looking for and better than the pictures.

Love, love this house. Perfect for our family of four. Best view in the neighborhood and super quiet and clean. We’ll definitely be back.

Really nice place and very comfortable. Reason for 4 stars on location is the roads are a little dicey as there are some pretty tight uphill and downhill turns to getting there and leaving. Otherwise the place was nice and really functional. Wildlife roaming the neighborhood. Had deer and a fox on the property. FYI, showers only, there are no tubs.

Had a few friends in town and we booked this Vrbo for the occasion. We loved our stay here! The pictures don’t do the views justice! We got rained in one day and this was the place to be. We grilled and cooked and the kitchen was well stocked. Also, the pictures of the living room are a bit outdated - they upgraded to a huge TV and new armchairs!

House was straighten up but not clean. Outdoor areas were not well kept. Everything was very run down. One bed was super uncomfortable.

It was a great quiet neighborhood in the hills of lake Travis. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the river. Would definitely stay here again.

This was my second stay at Rachel’s beautiful house in the hills. Just as last year, it was the perfect place to relax with my two adult daughters, who worked a couple days (excellent wifi) while I sat and read on the upper deck. Close enough to Uber to downtown, which we did twice, but we love being in Hill Country, near the water and the views. Half an hour to wineries, no boating this year but we did last year on Lake Austin, (Lake Travis is bigger, but I think the homes and cliffs are prettier on Lake Austin). Thank you Rachel! This was a perfect getaway to replenish and bring nature right to you from the brilliant view from the deck. Very nice place with lots of natural light and windows.

Overall, comfy house, had a great view off the back living areas. Is located fairly close to various restaurant, shopping, and lake options, and was also convenient to Hill Country attractions, e.g. McKinney Falls or Pedernales Falls State Park, Winbeley shopping, Salt Lick BBQ, Hill Country Wineries, etc. House was fairly clean, except some spider webs in exterior living areas.

I stayed at this lovely home with my 2 adult children, their spouses and my 2 grand babies. It was such a nice escape during these stressful times. The home is just as the pictures are online, very cozy and welcoming with everything you could possibly need. The view is absolutely breathtaking!! That was our favorite part. I wish I could upload a picture of the sunset the first night we were there. Stunning! Lovely kitchen where we made dinner every night. We did grocery order pick with the HEB that is only 10 minutes from the house, through their app. Which was seamless and perfect for the current situation. Rachel was so kind and always available if we needed to talk with her through text or a phone call. I miss this place and honestly wish I were there right now. Thank you Rachel for sharing your lovely home with my family. We hope to be back during the holidays.
