Excellent location, spacious accommodation and fully stocked with everything you would need for a family holiday.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Lots of stairs , but even tho I walk with a stick handrails and steps were fine . Secure parking was a bonus but would you get 2 cars in that space? The website description was inadequate no real info about what was on each floor ie useful to know that there is a loo on all floors but one - Which bathrooms had shower only. ( master bedroom had a great shower) . Some websites have a floor plan which is helpful too. The only real difficulty was the sun in the kitchen later in the day which made it almost unbearable. I’m sure blinds will be added in due course and as our weather was very hot it was probably made worse. We were due to have a family reunion but as one of our party broke her hip just before we were due to stay so there were only two of us! Overall a beautiful house with lovely original features , comfortably furnished and well equipped.

House could not have been better situated for all Ramsgate had to offer. (Shops, restaurants, beach, leisure.) Considering how many people it could accommodate there were no shortages of anything. Parking for 2 cars an absolute boon.

House was amazing and in a beautiful location over looking the harbour. Property was clean and done out to a high standard. Host was easy to reach and clear instructions given for all of the proper details that was needed.

We cannot give an account as due to incident didn’t stay there The owner eventually found an alternative which due to short notice we had to accept but this wasn’t what we paid for ie sea view - en suite and all being together 2 of us had to go to a separate site which wasnt what we wanted I know wasnt owner fault but he did drag his heels a bit so the alterations weren’t finalised until 6pm the evening before so very stressful start

We stayed for one week a party of 10 ranging from 83 years old to 5 years old, and the space was perfect for us especially as we had 3 teenagers who enjoyed the games room downstairs. We cooked several meals at home including a Sunday roast, great sized oven, plenty of plates saucepans, glasses etc. Walking distance to local bars & restaurants and good position to explore the local area. The host responded instantly to any queries we had, overall positive experience and would recommend.

We were there to celebrate my 70th birthday and it could not have been better! Brilliant! Spacious and user friendly for our 6-70 age range. We ate out each day but could easily have cooked in the very well equipped kitchen. Our cooked breakfast was a definite success. Certainly a home from home and no having to make do here. Many thanks

We (a party of 10 family) had w wonderful time at the Old Surgery, for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration.. The house is huge and there seemed no end to differet rooms and floors. It is the perfect house for a large group to gather, well equipped and very comfortable. The location is superb as are the views from the front. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms decent and everything was as described. We all felt rather sad to be leaving after our long weekend. Richard very promptly answered our questions which was helpful. It is worth noting that the instructions provided refer to a remote control for the shutters. We didn't realise that that was not window shutters but the main shutter to the back parking area. We highly recommend this property to anyone who does not mind many flights of stairs to climb !.

We loved everything about this house, the facilities, the location and the amount of space it offered. A very memorable weekend away to celebrate my 70th birthday and the house completely lived up to our expectations. Richard, the host was very helpful and recommended The Bedford Inn for Sunday roast. 6 of us stayed here for 3 nights. From the moment we opened the front door we knew we were in a special place. The house is huge, and the photos don’t show it off to its best. We loved the kitchen and how sociable a place is was to eat and chat together. The sitting room was comfy and warm, with fantastic views out across the harbour. All the bedrooms had comfortable beds and were a nice size. The games room was a hit with a pool table and a little bit of dancing. The location is fantastic and Ramsgate is certainly an upcoming area with lots of new independent eateries around the harbour. We will be booking for next year. Thanks for a great weekend.

We had a fantastic weekend in this lovely house. The house has a lovely feel about it and all of the bedrooms are comfortable. We couldn’t believe the size of the house when we arrived. We will definitely be coming back!

We were 4 couples together for a 5 day family reunion. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect accommodation. The common rooms (kitchen, dining, living room and games room) were spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms were separated on three floors, with comfortable beds and linens. Most bathrooms (one ensuite) were newly renovated. The location was ideal. Lovely views on the ocean, marina and within walking distance of restaurant, groceries etc… Highly recommend this home for a hassle free, relaxing time with friends or family.

Lovely house in an excellent location. We were pleasantly surprised by Ramsgate! We had a baby & elderly parents with us so we did not venture too far (so the games room & pool table were a big +)

Our family stayed at this beautiful house for my sisters 30th birthday, it made her birthday so special as the house is beautiful and in the best location possible. We all didn’t want to leave! Richard even left us a lovely welcome hamper with goodies which was really appreciated, we had a baby with us and the cot was left out ready, a spare pram along with two high chairs to choose from! Everything was thought of and we honestly couldn’t have had a better stay, there is 7 of us in total but the house can definitely hold more people. The games/pool room was a really great bonus. We would really love to stay again - thank you!

The Old Surgery is a wonderful house, in a fantastic position. It would have been worth the stay just for sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbour. But there is much more to it. The kitchen/diner is perfect for a large family, and our teenage grandsons spent much of their time in the pool room. As a party of ten we had room for all guests to have a comfortable and stylish bedroom.

We loved this house and had a fabulous stay. There was plenty of room for us all and the location was amazing. The beach, shops and everything was within easy walking distance. Beds were comfortable too. Definitely recommended. The only issue was getting in when we arrived. The email giving us details on how to get access etc was never received. So we struggled to get in! We think the process failed somewhere along the line but we did get in eventually and all was good :-)

The games room on the ground was well equipped with TV, DVD player (and DVDs), games console, books, board games and of course the pool table are available for days when the weather is not so pleasant or some simple family competitive fun!. All the bedrooms were tastefully decorated, with luxury towels and bedding, and all the beds were really comfortable. All the bathrooms and en-suites were spotlessly clean. Every aspect of our family holiday was wonderful. The house is beautiful, very well-equipped and in a stunning location. It was a wonderful place to spend quality time together. The host was very helpful and responsive and the checking in and out process very straightforward.

The house was large with plenty of space for our group of eight adults. The whole property is in excellent condition with some period features and great views. There is a good selection of DVDs and board games plus the added bonus of having a pool table. It is within easy walking distance of the seafront and Ramsgate town centre as well as a straightforward bus or train journey to Broadstairs and Margate.
