I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care taken for my stay. It was an absolutely adorable cozy cabin, perfect for myself and 2 boys with room for more people if my brother and his little family came with us. What was even nicer is that they are pet friendly. I brought my small Husky and cavalier and they weren't stressed at all. Everything was super clean and well equipped for whatever we needed. I can't complain about anything.

A great property but could use updated blinds throughout the house. Many are missing the stick to open the blinds and the one in the upstairs room falls whenever you pull the string. Other than that only critique, we thoroughly enjoyed the property. Thanks again for the military discount!!

Sitting above Banner Elk, well within walking distance lovely cottage with just enough space to feel abundance of Joy. Only downside for us-- we read wood burning fireplace, which was actually gas- still lovely, and we will likely return in the future!

It's a great location in Banner Elk and has great views of the downtown and mountains. The house also has great character. I would definitely rent it again.

Cabin was clean and stocked with linens and other supplies needed for our stay. We loved the location. Walking distance to downtown Banner Elk, yet in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We look forward to staying again.

Over the last several years, the "green roof cabin" has started to feel like our home away from home. I have been coming to Banner Elk since I was a child and now, feel so blessed to be able to bring my own children several times a year to enjoy my favorite place. I would be happy just sitting on the porch of this cabin enjoying the view and my kids love just playing in the yard, but the cabin is also perfect for being able to walk to the restaurants and the park. It comfortably accommodates our family of 6 - there's plenty of room in the upstairs bedroom for an air mattress, too! My parents have rented the lower unit several times, which is great for allowing them to join us while giving them their own space. I am thankful to have found this cabin years ago and that the owner has been able to keep the rate affordable so we are able to enjoy it as often as we do! We are already looking forward to our next trip up!

This cabin was perfect for our needs. We didn't cook so being walking distance to restaurants was great! Loved the lighting on the steps out doors. The updated bathroom downstairs was nice. The upstairs bathroom could use the same TLC, but was fine Owners very responsive. Thanks for a great weekend stay!

A comfortable,clean, pet friendly cabin and beautiful view. Convenient walking distance to town. Great location for visiting Grandfather Mt ,winery,waterfalls and Blowing Rock.

Rustic cabin with modern conveniences. We had everything we needed. Large front porch with a swing overlooked Banner Elk, which was a short walk downhill from the house. We will stay here again!

Loved this cabin! Our stay was all that we anticipated based on the pictures and details provided. The front porch and view were great. It was helpful having access to the washer and dryer. There were some great restaurants within walking distance. Communications with our host, Brad, were very timely. He addressed all our questions and offered resources as needed. The only thing we had to be careful with were the outside steps going up to the 2nd level entry, which we used to walk down to Main street to access the restaurants. The steps were not in good condition. However, a worker was there on 1 of the 2 days we were there and was working on fixing them. We would definitely book this cabin again if we are in the area!

We have stayed in several condos in BE, and this is by FAR the best location you could imagine!! Convenient to literally everything in downtown. The condo has a first floor master and additional bedroom upstairs, plus a little loft area. There are multiple porches, which is really nice. The view of Sugar from the porch swing is lovely. Aside from all of this, “Banner Views” will have special meaning to us forever, because it’s where we got engaged!

Central location to all of the amenities in Banner Elk. Property was clean and owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay there again.

Cabin was great. Cozy, location perfect. Walk to town. Beautiful views. Unfortunately rained every day, so our planned ski trip was very disappointing. Hope to stay there again next winter and be able to ski. Only negative was the stairs to the cabin. otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Great location and accommodations. Perfect week long getaway. Can’t wait to return.

This is our favorite place to stay in the High Country. The location of this cabin is great- a very short walk into downtown Banner Elk, quick drive out to Grandfather, Fosco, Ville Crucis, anywhere you want to go is right there. Views of Sugar Mtn are great; we always hope for cold weather so we can utilize the awesome fireplace. Remodeled bathroom shower is terrific. We appreciate that we can bring our Cairn terrier who always enjoys a good hike.

We loved our stay at this adorable cabin! Everything was just as listed or better. Great location, clean. The only thing I could suggest, it would’ve been nice to have firewood for the fireplace. In all fairness it states you would need to purchase your own, which we did but it just would’ve been nice to have at least a little to start with. Also, would have been nice to have a fire pit, but neither of these would ever keep us from going back! Absolutely loved this cabin and would rent again… honestly my family ranked it one of the top of all our rentals!

We loved our visit. The cabin was very convenient to the ski resorts and downtown Banner Elk. It was perfect for our family of 4. We will definitely be booking again! If you can't easily navigate stairs, this is not the place for you. I have do have one suggestion. A coat rack would have been awesome. We had to get creative with hanging all our ski clothes.

You can’t beat the location or the view! Plenty of room and comfortable beds. Fold out bed in the living from could use a mattress topper and the kitchen needs some nonstick pans. (I’m sure the owners have had them at some point) The small bed in the loft was comfy. Loved having a wood burning fireplace also. We will definitely stay there again. Great Mountain Cabin!!

This is a cozy cabin in a great location. It could use a little TLC. The steps going down to it are worse than projected. They are uneven and were covered with leaves and pine straw so it was hard to be safe. Parking was for two cars one behind the other so we had to move cars a lot. The kitchen is updated and nice but the dishes, pots and pans and utensils are not very good. The light over the stove wasn’t working. The TLC could remedy that. We probably won’t go again because of the steps.
