We would not stay here again. We booked for mid-February 2023 and stayed only 1 out of 3 planned nights. Despite the beauty of the surrounding area, this lodge’s standards have clearly slipped. The most unacceptable condition of the property was the unplowed driveway, which we emailed the owner a week prior to our stay to ensure there would be no issues getting to the cabin. We were reassured by Mark (the owner) that housekeeping plows the driveway. It was SOLID ice; a few inches think. Our mini-van couldn’t traverse the driveway. The 4x4 pickup made it up the ice sheet once, but it now has a new paint job after sliding down the ice and into one of the bushes on the low side of the driveway. The level of neglect of the driveway was unacceptable. My husband and I literally had to crawl on our hands and knees to get up the driveway because it was so slippery. We saw footprints going up the side of the driveway going underneath a bush, perhaps this is how housekeeping got to the cabin. Regardless, we couldn’t get to and from the cabin and do any of the other activities we had planned in the surrounding area. We did finally make it inside to discover crumbs in various rooms on the floor, stained sheets, cobwebs and dust in the master bedroom, the leather couch downstairs was ripped, huge wrinkles in the carpet that are tripping hazards, and trash in various cabinets/drawers. The oven was filthy and we had to clean out huge chunks of burnt food. The sheets were terrible. There were stains the size of a post-it notes on one of the twin beds as well as droplet stains on various pillow cases. I contacted Mark after arriving to tell him about the terrible condition of the driveway and he said it must have been the “freezing rain” the night before. He was very surprised the driveway was that bad. Again, it was clear this driveway was neglected. And it wasn’t freezing rain – there were no issues with any roads up to the cabin’s driveway and no sign of ice on any trees in the area. The final straw was when my elderly father slipped on the ice just walking outside the house at the top of the driveway (the flat parking area) and hit the back of his head. I contacted Mark again stating that we had to leave. He offered to put additional sand and salt down, but after the lackluster accommodations and inability to use the driveway to get in and out, we had enough. I hope this feedback will improve the interior of the cabin as well as the standards of the care.

property is clean , kitchen has everything needed to cook meals, plenty of room to spread out and have privacy. Great sledding hill and wonderful front porch looking out over mtns.

Cabin was such a great get away for the weekend. We really appreciated that there were sleds we could use. While we didn't use the washer, we noticed that it was full of water (it seemed stuck or something) & smelled funky in the room it was in, not a big deal though. The kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed to cook some grub & we loved seeing the morning mist come through the trees. Thank you for the great time!

In what is becoming a tradition for us, we stayed here for a birthday getaway in the mountains with our 13 year old daughter and her friend. When asked where she wanted to go for her birthday, she picked to stay at the lodge again. She loves it that much! The girls spent most of their time in the game room downstairs, and we all enjoyed the fireplaces, the spectacular views, and just spending time together. The lodge never disappoints, with its general coziness and good vibes. Thanks for having us again!

We had such a fun gathering for our friends over Labor Day Weekend! Hung out on the wonderful deck and enjoyed the views, played all sorts of games in the basement, and ate awesome family dinners at the giant table! We had a BLAST and we want to come back again!

This property allows the littles to get into nature, explore, and be as loud as they want without fear of neighbors around. Majestic views from the main floor and the deck is a great place for adults to chill out and chat. Many of our kids were surprised how much fun they had without the internet there. Communication with the owner was great too.

We enjoyed everything we did in the surrounding area! Wine tasting and Great food , golfing , whitewater kayaking, trail riding, swimming and jet skiing and relaxing at the cabin after a long day

Everything was pretty nice except for the main carpet had gigantic wrinkles that made 2 different members of my group trip and fall

We had such a great time at this beautiful lodge! The kids had a blast on the sledding hill (as well as the adults!) and when it was time for a break we came inside to warm by the fire and enjoy hot chocolate. There was plenty of space for everyone and in the evening the adults were able to enjoy our time while the kids played downstairs in the game room. :) The owners were very helpful and informative and made sure we were prepared for the record snowfall that had occurred. We would love to come back again for more fun and adventures!

We stayed at the lodge with all of our grown children and grandchildren, and everybody had such a great time! We spent our trip sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, taking in the gorgeous view and gathering around the fireplace. The lodge itself is beautiful and well maintained, and the kids loved the game room. Everybody had so much fun and we all left with some wonderful memories!

We had an amazing time together as a family at the lodge. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! The sledding hill was a hit with all the kids!!! Being together from outside in the snow, to inside playing games, sitting by the fire, baking cookies, etc. it was a magical time. Truly a "snowglobe" experience for us, and look forward to coming back again!

My family has the most amazing time during our stay here! We look forward to our sledding trip every year and have the best laughs and better memories. By far one of our favorite places to stay!

Beautiful property. We especially enjoyed the sledding area. We have a funny story to share. We arrived during a power outage, due to a tree falling on a power line. We quickly built a fire and began playing games. After about 3-4 hours the power came back on. Our last morning the power went out again, at about 8 am and was still out when we checked out at 11. This makes for a fun story for our trip.

it’s was amazing… the coziness, the view, the weather, the sledding, the cabin….& ALL the accommodations… We ALL had such a fun time, many tears from a few who never wanted to leave💝 Hopefully this will be the beginning of many traditions to come🎄 Thank You for the memory of “2021 Holiday”☃️

Perfect stay from beginning to end. Mark truly cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. From keeping us posted on the weather conditions leading up to our stay (we were REALLY hoping for snow but it was still early Dec) down to a lifhtning fast response when i couldnt find the propane tank for the grill on the first night. Check in was seemless, thanks to Mark's superb communication. He even offered us early check in so we could get over the mountain pass before freezing temps/dark time. We arrived to a picture perfect Hallmark Christmas cabin complete with decorated/lit Christmass tree, wreaths, and beautiful mantle decorated with garland. Beds were super comfy! Lots of different areas to spread out to between the main LR with beautiful fireplace hearth, cozy sun room with toasty gas fireplace/furnace, and then of course the basement family room with TV, movies, game tables etc. 3 more couches and a queen bed down there. Oh, and the porch with comfy chairs and views! Plenty of dishes and even my fave...a cast iron pan to cook in!!! We did get snow the last day. Our very own Christmas Miracle. The sled hill was SO MUCH FUN!!!! We made a chain of all 11 of us and went down together. So many cherished memories. We will back year after year! Thank you Mark and Carolyn for sharing your little slice of heaven for families to enjoy and bond.! I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is but youll just have to go see for yourself. *Sigh* Can't wait to go back!!!

In mid-November, our family of 3 stayed at the lodge as a birthday getaway for our mountain-loving pre-teen. It was nothing short of magical. We arrived at night to a beautifully lit Christmas tree and holiday decorations, the trees dusted with snow, and a fire waiting for us. The lodge was exactly as pictured, modern rustic with a cozy feel (even though there were only 3 of us staying in a home suitable for 10+ people!) We were able to tube down their sledding hill and spent time curled up with blankets on the enormous deck, overlooking the tops of the pine trees and mountain range in the distance. Mark was an exceptional host, accommodating our pet on relatively short notice and communicating responsively. We stay at many VRBO's, and this lodge by far exceeded our expectations and tops the list as one of the most memorable and perfect stays we have had. We will most certainly be back!

Rented this place with a group of friends and had such an amazing experience! The house is big and spacious and beautiful. Beds were comfortable. The view from the deck is amazing and the trees surrounding the house make you feel like you are completely secluded and private. Marc was easy to work with and very responsive to messages and questions. We can't wait to come back when there is snow and sled the amazing hill behind the house.

We came as group of friends to escape from city life and embrace the nature and were not disappointed! The Lodge is clean, spacious and had all we needed. The nature around is stunning - you should see the stars at night, pretty breathtaking! Mark was very responsive, so we were in good hands!

Communication was timely and perfect. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean and gorgeous panoramic views. Will have to come back in the winter to test out the sledding hill!

Each year 7 friends pick a destination to golf, eat good food, drink, play poker, and laugh. We stayed at this property and had a great time. Plenty of space, great communication with the owner.

The Alpine lodge was a complete relaxation retreat, luxury edition! The house was huge, spacious, well kept, and stocked with everything you could imagine needed for a weekend in the woods. Our family gathered from Seattle, Vegas, Hawaii, and Oregon to celebrate Father’s Day, Mark & Carolyn made it possible for all of us to gather, and be together for such a special time. The communication was top tier with Mark, and he was always available when I needed a quick question at any time of the day! Highly recommend a weekend here with family, and friends to truly soak up all the beauty of this place. We will be back, and make this an annual trip! Aloha, Kiana
