Nice property. Enjoyed our stay.

First impression was excited. We arrived and everything was extremely easy to get in and get started. Rented a golf cart, would love to have one there, but rental was cheaper than outside rentals. The neighborhood was amazing with 2 pools and splash pad. The beach was easily accessible and allowed us to go and come back as needed. Beach was not too crowded and the Conch Cafe looked amazing. Definitely want to stay again and come back next year. Thanks Shawn and appreciate your quick and fast responses. Justin

Love the house and the adm

The house was a great place to spend the week! The location was great and the house had everything that we needed. Everything was a quick golf cart ride away. Our host responded quickly to the few questions that we had. Our family made some great memories!

The house was exactly as described! Very clean and cute. I’m about 4 hours from Myrtle Beach and was there to officiate a Wedding. Who knew we would be there in the middle of a hurricane. Shawn the owner text me multiple times just to check on me. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok. Thank you Shawn for going the extra mile!

This was a great house to stay in! We loved that it was a cozier beach house that was perfect for the two of us (but was spacious enough that if our party was made up of 6, we still would have been comfortable). The house was clean and had some extra supplies such as toilet paper and soap which was helpful on arrival before we were able to make a grocery trip. We loved that there is a Food Lion and a gas station right across the street!! There are lots of comfortable seating options and we personally enjoyed having our meals at the lovely kitchen island. The bed was also soft and the sheets were clean, and the house comes with many extra linens which was great. The tv has a connection to streaming services and we also brought an HDMI cable with us to stream music from our laptop during the evenings. The steps outside that lead to the front door are lit at night which we found to be a nice touch. It's also very close to the private beach. Parking and having all of our supplies in the car made it easy to go to the beach every day. We enjoyed every part of this house. You will not regret staying here!!

Close to the beach and Ripken (20 minutes). There's also beach chairs , wave boards and toys for the kids to use at the beach. Shawn was easy to contact. We would stay there again.

This property is located by the beach and pools, the only missing thing is beach wagon (it will be helpful to pack everything instead of carrying it). I would be nice to improve some home decor, it’s just a kind suggestion. Kitchen is well equipped. Gated community makes you feel safe. Overall it was a nice stay:)

We enjoyed our stay. The house is bery quiet clean. The beds were comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a stand alonehouse in the Surfside Beach area.

Instructions from the website made checking in extremely easy. I loved the fact the house had a ramp and stairs wether your elderly or hauling a lot of stuff. The house is very beautiful roomie and cozy like if it was my own home for the first time and you can not beat the location 5-6 minutes to Murrells Inlet, Shawn was a VERY helpful host from beginning to end

The house was great. Close to the beach. Lots of great bars/restaurants nearby with awesome food. Shawn was great to work with and very helpful and prompt when I asked questions.

This was our first stay in Oceanside Village and we really liked it. We paid the small fee for the gate card in order to access the private beach parking lot, it was well worth it. As for the house itself it was clean and comfortable and the communications with the owner/agent were great. We all liked the outdoor pool as well.

4 of us came down for a short golf trip. This place was perfect for 4 adults and a close walk to the beach. We will look to stay again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay with our 3 grandchildren.

Overall the property suited our needs and provided a good hike base for use to enjoy the beach and surrounding attractions.

Loved it

The property was clean, it also has a washer and dryer. Nice parking area under the house. The house is far enough from the beach that a golf cart would be nice. But the community has a golf cart rental place that is affordable at $60 a day, you will also need a gate pass key card to access the golf cart parking area at the beach. The gate card is $20 at the park office and you get $10 back when the card is returned. Communication with the owner is prompt and courteous, very professional. I would stay again.

First off the security gate was not expecting us. I blame the owner for this. However the gaurd still made checking in easy. When we pull up yo the house we notice it's not as nice as the other places. The deck is very uneven amd in alot of places feels soft like it's gonna break through. Inside the house is very nice looking, paint looks nice, newer appliances. Central air works great. Furniture is decent but has limited seating by the main TV. The 2 single beds were noisy like they were filled with newspaper and the main bed was lumpy and sunk in the middle.

This has been the WORST experience we have ever had through VRBO!! The place was fine except the owner never stated that a security camera was on the premises and that the owner is WATCHING you while you are there. I understand that a security camera is a good investment when you are renting your home out to strangers...but it should ONLY be used if property damage or theft took place, neither of those did. The owner was watching us on camera and then sending us messages daily. We arrived on Saturday1:30-2:00. He let us arrive early because he sent a message that the prior tenant did not clean the dishes in the dishwasher so when we get there the dishes would be clean but not put away. He said he was sorry for any inconvenience. So he let us in early...no mention of an additional charge. On Monday, he sent a message that we were over occupancy and to call him immediately. I called him and talked with him on the phone. I explained that the two infants- age 1 and 8 months were not included in my "persons" in the house because prior to booking his home, I talked with a VRBO representative that stated that children 1 and under were not considered persons since they did not need a bed. I also told him that my sister and niece were leaving the next day. He said he would not charge for additional persons but that next time I rent, I need to check with the owner first. Needless to say, my husband and I were furious because he was watching us and paying attention to who was coming and going in the house. My husband's side of the family was also staying in a house at Oceanside Village so some cousins and his brother were coming and going throughout the day. My husband went in front of the camera and cussed the owner out that night. He does not like to be watched especially when it's his family and small children involved.The next day, I received a message from the owner about my drunk husband and that if he has something to say, he can call him or leave. We didn't respond.Tuesday night the police showed up around 10:30pm while we were all in bed. The officers stated that the owner complained we were over occupancy.We weren't. The next morning I received a message from him stating we had until 10:00 to leave and get a partial refund or get evicted w/no refund. We packed up, cleaned well and left.11 days later... he is trying to charge us for over occupancy, early arrival, an additional cleaning fee and a twin comforter. I took pictures when we left. FRAUD!

Check in/out with the owner was perfect - explained the process very well and communication was great. House was in perfect condition. Out of all the homes we've stayed in within OCV, this house was the cleanest and most updated. One thing to remember when you stay in OCV - you will want to get a gate pass. They're $20 ($10 refunded on departure) - stop in at the property management house as soon as you check in the main gate to pick one up. This will allow you access to the private beach parking an keep you from having to use the main gate each time you come back onto the property. The location and amenities were great

Community had a lot of amenities for a family and was close to hundreds of restaurants and activities

Very comfortable property located in safe, gated community with covered and open pools and tennis courts, 5 minutes from private beach and parking lot, with nearby cafe also overlooking the beach.

Cable TV was poor. Light in laundry room is a safety hazard could start fire. Lacking chairs to sit and watch the TV

Very good. Just what we were looking for to social distance an enjoy the beaches. Was able to eat in an do all that was needed for my family. And at 39 my son an his family got to take first long distance trip.He will be a return customer as I will. Thank you for a wonderful place.we all enjoyed it.

Great time spent at the Cocktail Hour. Great location and close to everything. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Had a great stay.

I loved staying in Oceanside Village! The house was nice and it was so convenient to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our only downside was the keypad to enter was not working at the time but shawn was very helpful and got us a key to enter throw the back. The downstairs storage area had beachshairs which was great. Beds were comfortable. I would love to stay again
