Nice period property, nice beds and quite clean.

Not much of a negative but the TV was a bit old for today’s streaming age and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. We stayed in on an evening due to it being February and it becoming dark early and therefore would of benefited from better Wi-Fi and a more up to date TV.

It met our needs and was within budget

Modern bathroom with shower. Small welcome pack dog friendly. Warm and cozy. Bedrooms comfortable

Path to cottage has steep steps no handrail or lighting, path slippery from leaves. Kitchen and dining room floor tiles VERY dirty. Some pans with burnt on debris, need replacing. Bathroom tile grout mouldy. Place needing a super good cleaning. Had to traverse around bed and staircase to access the bathroom

Lots of room inside the property, especially for two. Well equipped.

House location was difficult to find at first. Access quite difficult up several uneven sets of steps. Bedroom interconnections a bit odd - check carefully if you're coming as a family.

Convenient location

When we arrived there were lots of dog hairs all over the mat in the lounge that immediately went everywhere. As we explored downstairs this was also the case in the hall at bottom of stairs and on the mat/floor in the kitchen. We appreciate the house was and is dog friendly, but the downstairs clearly just hadnt been cleaned. When looking under the chairs in the lounge this was actually quite disgusting with the amount of hairs. Throughout the rest of the house we also saw dead flies on windows and actually what appearing slug trail on the back mat, all again confirming no cleaning could have been properly done on the property. What this actually meant was with 2 small children we could barely spend any time in the property, as our 1 year old in particular couldnt go down on the floor (the first time he did he was completely covered in dog hair). In the end this became so bad we actually checked out Sunday rather than monday and headed home.

It was set back away from the road so it was lovely and quiet. It had a lovely cosy, homely feeling to it. The beds were comfortable and rooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and more!

Only one set of keys, could do with a second set.
