The apartment was super clean and spacious. After we send the deposit he provide us the pin to get the key. Worked perfectly. The beaches are wonderfull, long, empty and clean. It is about 15 minutes by walk (with children). Shops are near. The appartment is situated near by the city center, which is nice. Life here starts at 7 p.m., it has its own charm. The city center of Barcona (Catylunya station) is about 40 minutes by train. Beautiful small city Sant Pol de Mar is only about 20 minutes by train. The trains goes non-stop. The way from the airport by taxi took 40 minutes only.

The provided information on the booking.com is misleading and some false. 1. They mention a shared terrace on the booking.com, but in reality the terrace is only for 1 apartment - in this case it should not be called a shared terrace. May it is translate misunderstanding and unfortunately misleading. If we had known that the terrace was not shared, we would never have booked the accommodation. We had a problem drying towels and swimwear from the beach. They dried up after 2-3 days. After 3 days the towels started to get stale in the bathroom. The washing machine and dryer were only for a fee of 3 Euro per 1 wash/dry. 2. It is necessary to pay a refundable deposit when the booking.com says that the deposit is returned in full. Unfortunately, this is not true. The tourist tax was deducted from the deposit without informing us in advance. Nowhere was an information in advance. Instead of 199 Euros, we received back 169 Euros. Such a surprise. Tourist tax should be included and itemized in the price of accommodation or paid separately on the spot. In this way, we do not have a receipt anywhere that we paid the tax and it is not possible to have it reimbursed. If we had this information we tried to ask for different way of pay, not from the deposit. Money is sent to a private account, not via booking. If you don't pay the deposit, you won't get a door pin and you won't get into the accommodation. I have not encountered this style of communication before, the guest should know about all fees in advance and be warned how they will be paid and have a chance to change the way of payment.

The property is excellently situated for the old part of Mataró with all its shops and restaurants . The proximity to the beach and railway station make it a perfect place to stay (approximately a 10 minute walk to both ). The whole apartment is spotless and extremely well equipped with everything you need (including adequate utensils for cooking). The host went over and above our expectations providing great advice re:travel and restaurants etc.

Apartment was spotlessly clean. Good wifi and facilities. Area was nice and close to centre of town and a short walk to the beach.

There were some small, hidden charges for using facilities that left me a little disappointed: Charge of 3 euro to use the washing machine If you use the air conditioning for more than 6 hours you will be charged There was no heat if you plan a winter stay (host said there was but we couldn't get it to work) We were only provided with one set of keys for a party of three so make sure you ask if you need more. All in all, this was a nice apartment but when I book an entire apartment, I would expect full use of all facilities without extra payment.

A very well-organized accommodation. A short walk to the beach and the town centre. A great place to explore that part of Catalonia - Barcelona is close by and it's also easy to get to places like Montserrat.

This was a nice apartment at a good place in Mataro. It had everything that you needed for a family, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, towels, parasol, shower cream, air conditioning.

The place is a bit noisy as it is ground floor. Also, no or minimal sunlight so I would recommend it for a few days stay, not for a very long one.

Superb apartment, well furnished and directly within the old town. Good walking distance to the beach and city centre. Local facilities right around the corner. Parking is a bit tricky, but there is a dirt parking space just around the corner that worked well for us, which the host showed us.

Excellent flat with everything we needed for a visit to see our family in Mataró. Good location - a few yards from recycling bins, close to bakers, meat shop and pharmacy and six or seven minutes from the supermarket. David was super helpful.

Clean and well presented apartment. Nice homely feel. Load of extra bedding available too.

Unfortunately heating system wasn't working due to storm damage the week before we arrived. Electric heater supplied but wasn't enough to keep it warm enough.
