The most beautiful experience! The little house is even better than the photos! Close to the quaint village, however, it should be noted that there are no grocery markets open on Sunday so do account for that. Lovely stay that I would highly recommend!

Everything about this stay and working with Daniele was wonderful! The location is serene and beautiful. Being only a few minutes from a quaint town with grocery store and delicious restaurants is also great. We found a car to be necessary since it is located in the country (although pretty close to most of the sights one would want to see in the Tuscany region). Daniele was helpful and easy to work with. We didn’t want to leave. :) thank you so much Daniele!

We have stayed in vacation rentals and VRBO's all over the US and Europe and this was the absolute nicest cleanest home we have ever rented. The location in the Chianti Region was perfect and there seems to be a Winery on every corner. We loved it and hope to return

A wonderful property! Exactly as was advertised! In the heart of Tuscany and easily accessible via car. The villa was spotless and contained everything needed for a comfortable and very pleasant stay. The owner was extremely accessible and wonderful to deal with. We would highly recommend this property! An absolute gem!

Everything went very smoothly and we enjoyed our stay. The host was very friendly, approachable and helpful. We enjoyed the location very much and the views were stunning. Easy access to all the tourist destinations was definitely a plus. The local Coop, though small, is well stocked for all one's needs and offers lots of great treats in the deli section. Overall, a very good place to be for a week of getting to know Tuscany.

Beautiful rural location but short driveI to Castellina and other places of interest/great restaurants. The farmhouse itself is modern and well equipped.

Very comfortable cottage with all the amenities. The garden and terrace look north and west. They are yours to enjoy. There are hiking paths through the farm that you can follow through some very nice countryside. The town is close with shopping and some good restaurants. Daniele was very helpful. We were very lucky to stay here.

Comfortable farmhouse in beautiful situation, a few minutes drive (or 25 minutes walk) from Castellina. Many lovely walks from the farmhouse with birds, butterflies etc. In April we saw Jays, Hoopoe, Redstart, Goldfinches and many others.

We stayed for 3 nights, would’ve loved to had stayed longer, but we booked late and the house was taken. Very beautiful house, and area. I was unaware of how awesome the small town just 5 minute drive was. Several great restaurants and shopping. If I ever return to this area, this is the house I will be staying in!

We have been here before so knew that the farmhouse would be clean and well equipped. The owner, Daniele, is easy to communicate with. We love it here!

We had a three day stay in Casanuova, while touring wineyards in Chianti. This house was everything we hoped for. Privacy with a great view, and a fully equipped kitchen. Danielle was a very kind and helpful host, and we would happily return for another stay.

If you want to stay some place that really captures the feeling of Venice, then this is the place. Convenient location for wandering the streets. Quiet, but enough nearby for easy access. Open the windows and the canal is 2 ft away!

We had a terrific stay here. It was well located and clean with amazing views. Everything was as expected and we had zero complaints. What a lovely experience!

Even in February, when the trees are all bare and the vineyards are empty, this property was great. Two humble rooms each with their own bathroom. A small living and dining space. Good for cooking some simple meals. We were mostly touring wineries - so we didnt spend too much time at the place. But it was perfect for when we returned. Close to Castellina for all groceries & restaurants. Thanks Daniele!

We have been eyeing this villa for a couple of years and finally made the trip a reality. We were not disappointed. Nicely appointed, spacious and comfortable. It is located central to everything Tuscany has to offer. There is even a lovely winery right next door! We will stay here again the next time we make this dream trip!

We loved our stay in Castellina in Chianti. The farmhouse was exactly as expected, warm and inviting. The farmhouse had everything you needed. We walked part of the farmhouse grounds and the views were breath taking. We actually saw a red stag run across the road in front of us. We rented a car to drive around the Tuscan hillsides. The town of Castellina in Chianti was a short 6 minute drive. Wine tasting were around every turn. It is a short 1/2 hr drive to Sienna. Daniele was available to answer any questions we had. I never wanted to leave.

Castellina in Chianti is magical- every day started with a trip to town for cappuccinos and a “wee” pastry. Quiet and peaceful home to return to every night after a day of exploring the nearby cities... Highly recommend !!!!

Our stay in Castellina in Chianti was just what we were looking for...very relaxing, super clean and very convenient. The house has a nice layout that feels spacious. The patio has great views of the valley. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies if you want to cook, which we did a few nights, but the small town that is a few minutes away, has amazing restaurants to enjoy as well as lots of Chianti win, if you like. They also have several bottles of wine you can purchase at a fair price if you just want to stay home, relax and enjoy the views. We will definitely come back and stay here again in the near future.

This is a lovely casa in a great location accessible to most locations by car. I visited with my husband and two children 9 and 12. We did day trips to Pisa (including the beach by the marina), Siena, Florence, and San Gimignano. We also visited Castello di Melleto, where we did a tour and wine tasting. Lastly we spent time at piscina il mulino di quercegrossa a lovely place with several pools. There is a Co op in town which stocks most things and lots of restaurants to choose from. Lots of information provided and questioned answered by hosts promptly.

This farmhouse is tucked away in an idyllic location - and yet only a few minutes from Castellina. The house is very well equipped and perfect for having a relaxing holiday.

All of the photos accurately reflect the beauty of the property, and some! We spent two wonderful weeks at this enchanting villa. The location was perfect for us to traverse Tuscany. The villa became our home and the town of Castellina in Chianti became our neighborhood after a day Tuscan travels. Daniele and his mother were incredibly gracious hosts. They even went out and purchased a fan for us when higher than usual temps came through our last few days. We were very sad to leave, but we took many fond memories with us. We hope to return in the future!

We fantasized about this place for months, based on the pictures and I thought we would be disappointed because our hopes were so high. But we weren't; it was even better than the pictures. The gravel driveway up to the property winds through the family's vineyard; the family makes and sells lavender bath and home products; and the family cat would come visit. It was quiet, peaceful and views that went for miles, the only sounds were birds serenading you, and an occasional barking dog. The property was modern and fully equipped, absolutely perfect. The location is perfect to explore Tuscany: Castellina is a sweet small village that feels authentic and still a bit undiscovered; Florence, Siena, San Gimiagnano are easy drives. We've stayed at many VRBO rentals, and this one is easily the best. We'll be back for sure. One word of advice is to make it to Coop grocery store in Castellina by 20:00 (8pm) before it closes, to get staples you need for the house.

Clean, plenty of space, helpful owner (lives next door). Had a great 5 day stay. Within approximately one hour drive of many Tuscany towns / sites. Great local restaurants. Had an awesome brunch / wine tasting / tour of Castle Meleto. Great for kids (10 and 6). Only issue is the signage to get to the house from the main road. Look carefully for the sign pointing to "La Lavender", which is the name of the rental. Also, the gravel road to get to the house is not a long distance, but might not be great for a very small rental. We had a small SUV that did fine.

Villa was perfect. Daniella’s mother met us and got us settled in. Sweet lady. Daniella checked in often as well and was always quick to respond to our questions.

We loved our stay at Castellina in Chianti! Daniele's farmhouse is adorable and comfortable and he was most accommodating with any request we had. The farmhouse is in a great location very close to town which made evening dining out very doable. Our first week was spent hiking (often directly from the farmhouse) in the morning and exploring nearby hilltowns in the afternoons. Since it was somewhat off season for tourists we found the towns to be easy to explore--the hardest part was making sure lunch locations were open, but locals were helpful with this. We went to Florence for the annual Christmas tree lighting--in fact, it was fun to see the trees and decorations in all the towns! There was a Christmas market in Siena with stall after stall of Italian foods and crafts. We also enjoyed a trip to Cinque Terre and hit a beautiful sunny day for a hike along the shoreline. If you have a small family, this is a perfect location to stay--we did have a couple join us for the second week which was fun, but the living space can be a little small for four adults (probably better in the warmer weather when you can use the back porch which is wonderful). Otherwise, it is a beautifully appointed farmhouse with very nice bathrooms and all the extras you could need! Enjoy!

The property is located on the Chianti Wine Trail close to many wonderful wineries. The town of Castallina in Chianti has great restaurants. We made day trips to Siena, Pisa, Florence, Assisi and San Gimignano. A rental car and GPS are essential. We used WAZE on our cell phones for easy navigation. Highway signs are poorly located so navigation with printed maps is difficult. The property is well managed and we did not need any assistance from management once we were checked in. Looking forward to returning in the future.
