We had two fantastic weeks staying here. The beds are extremely comfortable , the house large and very well equipped with everything we needed for a great extended family holiday.

The hous was very big and comfortable. It was full of games and puzzles and had a lovely garden with a play house for the kids. The owner had even left boots, beach towels and other useful stuff. The owner was also nice and easy to have contact with. Always replied promply. The beach is just five minutes from the house with a long boardwalk perfect for stolling, walking or runing. The Brasseri in the village was nice and had good - not expensive - food. Our kids was on the beach everyday to collect shellfish, so we had that every night. Just lovely!

The bedrooms had plenty of room and the beds are really comfortable. We went with another family and had plenty of space to spread out. The kids loved the enclosures garden and charged around it all week. Every window has a shutter so the bedrooms are blacked out at night, which was great to keep the children sleeping after sunrise. It is 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 from the village centre. Eating out was limited in the village but lots of places to drive to. It is in driving distance of lots of great days out, including a really well done zoo. A great base for a family holiday

It was the little touches that made this place for instance the kitchen fully stocked with all that one would want for a dinner party and all the bathrooms having soap, toilet paper and shower gell plus endless supplies of tea and coffee filters. The week we chose was very cold but the house was lovely and warm Polly even explained how to turn up the boiler and told us not to worry as she also supplied lots of wood for the lovely open fire. This was truly a pleasant experience from some of the other houses we have stayed in. I would highly recommend this house dog and child friendly and also the Internet worked perfectly, well done.

We had a great time in Maison Mielles. The house was very clean, the beds super. We have stayed in many holiday homes in the past, but this house has the best equipped kitchen we ever seen. We stayed with 9 adults and 1 child and a dog. There was enough of everything for all. Also perfect to bring your dog. Garden was fenced, no problem to leave the dog in the garden when going out. Only 5 minutes to the beach, we went to Mont st Michel, Carentan, Avarange, Utah beach, museum dead man's corner. Actually there was nothing to complain about. Not even the weather!

It is spotlessly clean, beds and bedlinen of high standard and the kitchen is so well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses etc etc. The outside space is great, good size patio with furniture and enclosed, safe garden, the children loved it. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach which is beautiful. It is such a peaceful spot. The beauty is that you can travel as light as possible because all needs are catered for as Polly states in the house details. The village is within walking distance but very few restaurants were open in the evening, I believe it all comes alive in July & August. This didn't spoil our hols as we tended to use the BBQ. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to my friends and we will certainly be returning.

If you want to veg-out at the beach in clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated surroundings, this place is perfect! The sound of the sea and perfectly wonderful beachside walks are just down the street. The D-Day landing beaches, picturesque French villages, and Mont St. Michel are all within an easy drive, too. The lounge is large and pretty in a fresh colour scheme with lots of sturdy sofas to sit on. The dining area has enough table and chair space for probably 10 or 12 people. The kitchen is quite large with lots of counter space and is kitted out nicely if you plan to cook or bake and the dishwasher was quiet and efficient. The beds at this house are marvelously comfortable! There are books sprinkled all around the house and this place is so restful that it really does lend itself to a period of settling in with a cup of tea and a good book. You can also choose between satellite television channels or a well-filled movie hard-drive-box. There is a large capacity washing machine and a dryer and the wifi is quite reliable and fast. The local village of Brehal has a comprehensive Super-U grocery store within a few minutes of driving time and my husband became quite attached to the delicious products from the local bakery which was a few minutes away if he was having a morning walk. This is a perfect house for a family or a group of friends since it has six bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, an enclosed garden, and easy-to-sweep tile or hard surface floors throughout. Even your pets would be happy here! The owner, a happily transplanted British woman, is oh-so-helpful and informative and she walked us around the house when we arrived and made sure we knew where everything was and how to operate the various household machines or electronics. I highly recommend this large and lovely beach house to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday at the Normandy coast!

Ce fut vraiment super. Tout est prevu par la proprietaire. L'accueil est tres chaleureux; la maison est tres spacieuse et fonctionnelle, super equipee (vaisselle, linge, jeux, multimedias....),propre, conforme à la description. Il n'y a pas de probleme pour trouver de la place sur la plage et il y a beaucoup d'activites a l'entour. Nous avons passe une semaine formidable et nos enfants et petits enfants en redemandent. Nous recommandons cette location, surtout aux grandes familles.

Our family (five adults ranging from ages 26-82, a twelve year-old and an infant) had a lovely time at this house in Brehal. We were greeted and shown around the house by the wonderful owner upon our arrival. This house has EVERYTHING you could ever need to ensure a relaxing and fun vacation. And it was spotless. I can't say enough good things about it. The location was perfect for us as we were planning to drive to the D-Day beaches and also visit Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel. On the days that we stayed in Brehal we had everything we needed in order to relax and have fun. Thank you!!

My wife and I spent four wonderful days at Maison Mielles. It was exactly as advertised and that was a good thing. Despite being contacted by us at short notice Polly (the owner) was accommodating and really pleasant to deal with. The house has been recently renovated and the renovations were well done and made good sense. If you were coming with a large group and/or kids it would be perfect. Because there were just the two of us we didn't need the upstairs but we did have a look and could imagine being very comfortable here with our kids and grandkids. We didn't take advantage of the beach because we were too busy exploring the many surrounding sites. It was less than an hour's drive to Mont St. Michel and just over an hour to Omaha Beach with plenty to see on the way to both. If we had been here longer we would have loved to spend time exploring the fascinating salt marshes with their blue-bottomed (painted) sheep. I have no hesitation in recommending Maison Mielles. We would return.

Nous avons passé un mid wek fantastique dans cette maison parfaite pour une grande famille (10 personnes) où tout est parfaitement bien pensé pour combler tout le monde. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

We had an unbelievable stay at the beach house! We had visited the area to have easy access to D-Day memorial sites as well as beaches, and this was the perfect spot to do so. Not only did we do what we set out, but we found the area to be such an unbelievable and friendly place. The beach house itself was fantastic and provided more space than we needed. We stayed here with our family of 7 and had all of the amenities one could possibly need. It had a wonderful living room (big enough for our family) with a flat screen TV, full-sized kitchen where we cooked most of our meals, and spacious 6 bedrooms, all of which were very clean and tidy. The house also had a large deck perfect for early evening cordials, toys and games for the kids, and a kennel for the dogs - very pet friendly. The property owner was extremely helpful with suggestions on local events, as well as anything that we needed on site. Overall, we highly recommend staying here, and I am sure we will be back!

What a fantastic time we had here at Maison Mielles. It is the perfect getaway from the hurried city life where you can relax with family and friends and enjoy the lovely surroundings. The house is gorgeous, with plenty of space for everyone and even has a wood fired bbq (which created a lot of good meals for us while we were there). There is also a lovely little playhouse for those with young children and the outdoor setting is perfect for those gorgeous summer days. The long beach allows for it not to get too crowded and the sunsets here are simply beautiful! The area is lovely, with a golf course and plenty of parks. We also drove to Granville from here which was nice with lots of lovely restaurants (we tried L'Echauguette which was absolutely delicious). We had a wonderful holiday here and definitely recommend it!

This place is fabulous~ There is everything here that makes one right at home & even more than home;)) from the kitchen which has everything one can imagine to the living room with satellite tv & high speed internet. The bedrooms are decked out very clean with everything from books to reading lights towels wash clothes everything very neat. One doesnt need anything here, it really was better than home. The kids were in heaven with more toys than they could play with & big fenced in yard with playhouse,aswell many games for us adults. The beach is few minutes walk and is lovely & 2 golf courses you must not miss. Polly was very helpful in anything we needed or asked of her; even making us cake & a welcome basket full of goodies, my favorite was the fudge. This place truely is awesome and we already have plans to come back.

We went for a week and stayed for two! This house is in the perfect spot, with the beach a 5min walk and the village shops, bars & restaurants are 10mins. If you want to drive to either, it's easy to park. We went in August and there was lots going on in the village - fish markets, beach activities, horse racing, farmers' fair etc, but it didn't feel busy on the beach. We went on plenty of excursions to local castles, to Granville, to the fantastic zoo, to a chocolate factory, and plenty of days on the beach. You can even wheel the pushchairs down the ramps onto the sand. The house was not fully renovated when we stayed, but still had everything you need for a comfortable beach holiday. Added bonus was a hot outside shower and plenty of room to get rid of all the sand in the large garage/hall area. Kitchen was really well equiped. Beds very comfortable and proper cots for the babies. The added bonus of black-out blinds in the bedrooms was great for kids not waking up too early & for siestas. We used the enormous outside table for most of our meals & there is a great barbq. We had a couple of rainy spells (it's not the south of France!), but they didn't tend to last for long and certainly didn't spoil the holiday as there is plenty to do in wet whether. At low tide, all the locals go mussle & crustacian picking on the rock pools - great to watch & participate in. Just be careful to watch out as the tide comes in REALLY quickly. The swimming at high tide is great. We will definitely go back again!!
