Spectacular English manor house and gardens. Gorgeous interior in all respects, with outstanding pool, hot tub and terrace area, and meticulously kept grounds. Perfectly located on the edge of Dursley, conveniently located for day trips to the south (Bath, Stonehenge, etc.), the many nearby idyllic Cotswold villages, and Stratford-upon-Avon and Hidcote Garden to the north. Pub fare in Dursley and several excellent restaurants within a short drive. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive--Candida was outstanding as we worked through several questions when we were considering a stay there. The perfect place to stay as you experience this beautiful part of the world.

Candida and Stephen were wonderful hosts of this great property. The house had so much history and was so beautifully updated. My family could not have wanted anything more and it was the highlight of our entire vacation. We hope to be back and will definitely try to stay again at this property.

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were a total of 22 of us and the house felt very spacious. Rooms were set up beautifully with towels and robes, which were perfect for using the hot tub, a huge hit with the chilly weather. Despite it being winter the house felt really warm and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. There are beautiful walks straight off the doorstep and some nice pubs nearby which made for a perfect Saturday afternoon. We hired a chef on the Saturday night and the kitchen had all the facilities set up for cooking a large dinner and the dining room had a very large table to fit us all. The location of the property was very convenient as our group were coming from London and Devon so it was the perfect in between location and a really easy drive. We all had the most memorable weekend together and wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts were very friendly and were on hand if we needed them. Candida was also great at answering all my questions and keeping in touch throughout our booking. We would love to book again in the future!

I hosted my 50th birthday here. I couldn’t be more happy. We visited in January and enjoyed the beautiful Cotswold hiking through the day, and then had a dinner party on Saturday evening. The hosts were communicative, responsive and helpful. Candida helped me find local vendors for catering and gave great suggestions for activities for our group.

When I had the idea to get a 20 friends together for a Christmas party I was looking for a property that would be spacious enough for us all, as well as have enough activities that if it did rain the whole weekend in December we would be okay. Fortunately, the weather was bright blue and crisp and the walks from the back of the house are incredibly beautiful. We even woke up to snow on the Sunday which looking out from the beautiful big windows into the garden, and down by the Christmas tree really made it a winter wonderland! This property absolutely surpassed all my expectations, we had a kitchen disco, played games around the pool table and sang songs around the piano. The flow of the house lends itself to intimate gatherings and special time with those you love. Candida and her partner Stephen were also so responsive with all of the communications before hand and there to check us in with everything we may need. Highly recommend for friends and family alike. Thank you once again, for the most memorable weekend. We can’t wait to come back in the summer months for a warmer dip in the pool!

Great property for our 20 guests who all said how much they liked the house and grounds particularly the hot tub which was well used.

From beginning to end, our stay as a group of 23 adults was incredible. The photos of the house are not only accurate but cannot capture how stunning it is in person. Candida and Stephen have been helpful and responsive from the moment we booked, and went out of their way to gift champagne and strawberries alongside a lovely card for my partner’s birthday. We had the most wonderful weekend and thank Candida and Stephen for opening up their home to us.

If you’re looking for the quintessential countryside experience with a group, this is the place. We went as an extended family group of 11 and wanted a place some people could explore the area but mostly to have a place to stay where all could enjoy. The kids spent hours in the pool, some enjoyed experiencing waking the Cotswold Way, others walked into town for meals or a drink in the garden of the local pub, others enjoyed shopping in nearby Tetsbury or exploring the farmers market in Stroud, and some just enjoyed knitting in the formal sitting room. The house felt like staying in a castle with incredible antiques and architectural details while still having the comforts of a modern hotel. The owners were responsive and helpful and we were grateful for the special family time the rental allowed us to have. I HIGHLY recommend this unique and comfortable home.

The house and gardens are beautiful and everything we wanted was right there on site. It was so easy to entertain the children and the grownups enjoyed the house and gardens equally. We made some special memories. for our first family get-together in four years. Candida and Stephen were brilliant hosts, answered all our questions very quickly and offered helpful advice. Also commend the comprehensive information pack which really helped us plan.

This is the most stunning and spacious house, which has been beautifully decorated and maintained by the owners. If you are looking for the WOW factor, this has it and you will not be disappointed. The house is complemented by the large swimming pool, hot tub and terrace area. The owners are a delight to deal with; personable, efficient and provide excellent customer service. We were a group of 14 and we had a fabulous weekend !

This was such a great place to stay for my friends hen do, Stephen and Candida couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Everyone was amazed at the property. Lovely little touch with a congratulations balloon with fizz and strawberry’s too. We did not want to leave and hope to return one day.

This property is a real find. Opulent interiors, a mix of traditional and contemporary features. Each room is a treasure, it’s really grand and very big. (you will get lost at first). It’s perfect for family and friends to gather, sit by the fire and catch up, play pool with the children, chat in the hot tub, wander around outside, walk the dog, swim in the pool. We hired a chef to cater for us one night, brilliant idea and very decadent. Can’t wait to go back next year, all 22 of us agree

Stayed here with 15 other girlfriends for my sisters hen party. The house is great gorgeous and everyone was so stunned at how gorgeous it was. It's perfect for big groups as there are plenty of bedrooms and big enough entertainment spaces. Host's communication was also great and they were very flexible with a few requests we made. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

We had the most amazing long weekend stay from 4-7 March 2022. The Manor House is so beautiful & has everything you need & is equipped for all ages. The owners of the property were so informative, friendly & helpful. I will always have a beautiful memory.

We came to the manor for my 40th birthday celebrations and were blown away by how beautiful and comfortable it was. The location is perfect: close to a small shop for extra breakfast bits, direct access to the Cotswolds way and far enough away from neighbours to have privacy, although we were very conscious to follow the rules about outside noise. The manor itself is somehow even better than the photos! Every bedroom is massive and the decor is a perfect mix of classic contemporary and historic style. It easily accommodated the 15 of us and two dogs, we felt very spoiled. As added, unexpected extras, the housekeeper had very kindly put away all our food and drink delivery for us before we arrived, and had put out Prosecco, chocolates, a balloon and a card for me which was so thoughtful. We really had the best time: sunny walks, too much food, hot tub fun, and playing pool - perfect weekend away!

I don’t know where to start! Not only were Stephen and Candida extremely accommodating to our situation and so very welcoming, the house was absolutely incredible. What a beautiful place indeed. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts and thank them for welcoming us into their home. This really is a marvellous place!

We spent the weekend here for my husbands 50th. Perfect location, easy to get to for all. Stunning property and facilities. The hosts were really helpful with recommendations, information beforehand, check in etc. We used the little pickle caterers who served up a fantastic meal in the wonderful dining room. The location was great and perfect for lovely walks direct from the garden. Every room was comfortable and the decor stunning ! We couldn't decide on our favourite room!! would definitely recommend.

Great family holiday property for all the family, ranging from babies to great grand parents. The house had everything we could need and the grounds and outdoor facilities were amazing. The grounds were stunning and great for strolls and dog walking. We had really good weather for September and used all the outdoor seating areas, play areas, heated pool and hot tub to the full. There was something for everyone.

We booked this property for a delayed 80th for my mum, so the party ranged from 7 - 86! The house is enormous, much bigger than I had imagined. There were plenty of places to hide away around the house and garden if you wanted to, but lots of space to gather too. We had a fabulous time, the pool was an absolute hit with the kids being heated, so even though the weather wasn't as kind as we would have wanted you could still swim. I would stay again.

The accommodation was simply stunning. All of the facilities were fantastic. The hosts were so helpful and trusting with handing over this incredible property to us for a long weekend. The grounds to the property were so well maintained with stunning views across the area. The outside facilities such as the heated swimming pool, seating area and hottub were a real treat. The house was grand and full of character charm which gave a 5 star feel to the stay. This place is a credit to the hosts and their attention to detail and luxury. I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have experienced for a very very long time. Long term memories have been made as a result of our stay.

We had a wonderful family weekend celebrating a 70th birthday at this beautiful property. Plenty of space for everyone, fantastic warm swimming pool and hot tub, plus lovely views and grounds with walks on the Cotswold Way just out the back gate. It was a real treat and the hosts were very friendly and helpful too.

Ferney Hill was an excellent choice for our extended family of 14 to spend Christmas together. The house was lovely and warm and was decorated with numerous Christmas trees and fairy lights. We all managed to go for a lovely walk on Xmas morning thanks to the weather. Everyone had the best time

The property is incredible! The photos barely do it justice.. and our group had an amazing time. Place was immaculate and some extra touches were provided by the hosts for when we arrived!

We had 14 people for a week and had a wonderful time! Lots of space for all. Bathrooms nicely updated. Kids loved the heated pool, pool table, ping pong table. Cotswold way right behind the property for great hiking. Easy walk to market and a few pubs.

What a fabulous property, gorgeous historic house and vast grounds . We held our parents 50th wedding anniversary vowel renewal ceremony here and couldn't ask for a better setting. Candida was very helpful and always very responsive to any questions we had. Our children spent many hours in the pool . Would definetly love a return visit !
